Craig (00:01.246)
Welcome to the official Munzee podcast.
Rob Vardeman (00:04.262)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.
Craig (00:08.238)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell. I'm here to explore the world of Munzee from within.
Rob Vardeman (00:14.014)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, discover treasures, and inform players from around the world just what's coming your way.
Craig (00:21.602)
So sit back, relax as today we chat all about the week that was some new duo mech and also the Munzee tip of the week. And I've got another question for Rob too. That's cool. Rob, how you going, mate? Good, good, good. What's been happening in your world in the week that was?
Rob Vardeman (00:33.814)
Hey, I'm going alright, how about you?
Rob Vardeman (00:42.322)
Oh, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yeah, that's it. Just sitting around chilling. Well, and Munzee gameplay, that's actually kind of true because I forgot to cap one day. I don't even know if I opened the app that day or not. I just kind of spaced out. So I ended up having to use a mulligan. I've got tools where I don't have to do that, obviously, but
Craig (00:46.074)
Really? Really nothing.
Yeah.
Craig (00:58.225)
Ah.
Craig (01:03.078)
Oh
Craig (01:10.338)
You
Rob Vardeman (01:12.046)
I try not to do that. So I used a capture mulligan because I forgot to even capture a Munzee. And obviously I can do that from the house. Um, yeah. So my deploy streak, I gave up on it so long ago. So I'm never worried about the deploy streak, but the capture one, I've got to keep it going. Yeah.
Craig (01:20.814)
R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-
Rob.
Craig (01:27.7)
Really?
Craig (01:31.718)
Well, what's going on? Last month you forgot the golden carrot, this month you lost a day, jeez man! And you can't even blame!
Rob Vardeman (01:40.05)
I'm losing my... No, it's not the tech's fault. It's me, it's my Munzee mind. I've lost my Munzee mind on the gameplay side. But thankfully, when I switch over into work mode, then things are actually quite busy. And I think that's part of it, is that I've got so much stuff going on, planning out the rest of this year and being thankful for where we've been and what we've come to now and moving forward. So we...
Craig (01:43.966)
You know? No!
Craig (01:49.396)
Yeah.
Craig (01:56.975)
Mm-hmm. Mm.
Craig (02:03.173)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (02:08.098)
We've really got everything moving forward. So I'm reverting back to what I did back in, you know, May, June, July, where it was, here's a constant routine that I've got of refreshing rewards and just all my, all my daily little tasks that I'm getting back to. And it's a really good thing and I enjoy it. So yeah, it's good.
Craig (02:17.225)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Craig (02:28.126)
Well, well, speaking of tech issues, I'm not sure if you're aware or not, because you're in the UK, but all my friends in Australia, Rob, on Tuesday, this week, a lot of them who are Optus members, Optus is a telco in Australia, Optus went down. The whole Optus network went down in Australia for the whole day. So I had friends reaching out to me saying, you know, Craig, what can I do? I can't even, they're, they're trying to cap. They can't cap on their computers.
Rob Vardeman (02:48.79)
Whoa.
Craig (02:56.578)
So some of them actually reverted to using their children's phones and logging in on the kids' phones in order to get their daily caps. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (03:04.474)
Wow, even, I mean, you would have to go Wi-Fi, I suppose. So go somewhere within range of a virtual of some sort or whatever, a Starbucks, if nothing else. Get some Wi-Fi. Wow, that's crazy, I did not know that. Wow.
Craig (03:10.344)
Yes. Yeah.
Craig (03:21.266)
Yeah. The whole, the whole network went down and because Optus is one of the big three telcos in Australia, there's another three smaller telcos that go off the Optus system. So there was actually four telcos down in Australia yesterday on Tuesday. So that was big, poor things, poor things, but I've finally finished Rob my exciting part.
Rob Vardeman (03:37.233)
Wow.
Craig (03:41.958)
I finally finished the old secret zeops that you guys released like months ago. It was the jungle jammer. I got my little monkey mech. So I was happy with him. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (03:42.51)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (03:49.578)
Hmm. Well done. Congrats. Hey, oh, that's a cool one monkey. And then it goes to like something else and then King Cog. Yeah, it's a cool one.
Craig (03:59.362)
Mm hmm. Yeah, that's really cool. That's so cool. I'm sad note though. I didn't finish my witches potions physical. I finished the virtuals, but not the, I used 10 magnets, Rob on my local Munzee's around here and still, still didn't finish. I've got plenty of toenails. Don't get me wrong, but. Ha ha ha.
Rob Vardeman (04:13.287)
Ugh.
Rob Vardeman (04:18.642)
Yeah, sorry about that. I know that the toenails don't accumulate to be much. And this would be such a weird conversation outside the world of Munzee to be sitting and talking about witches toenails or whatever. But yeah, I have a feeling that you're not alone on missing out on all of the ingredients and the badges. So sorry to everyone.
Craig (04:24.206)
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
Craig (04:32.288)
Exactly.
Craig (04:37.706)
Yes. Oh yeah. Yeah. So yeah, that's okay. It is what it is. You know what I mean? Like we try as hard as we can. That's not a problem. And it's not like the cubicles like they used to be either. You can't, you know, what do you call it? Change up five toenails for a potion or whatever. You know what I mean? So, Oh, look, see, this is this, see what this, this podcast, I did see that face. Did you see what this podcast does?
Rob Vardeman (04:44.342)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (04:56.462)
Hmm, that's an interesting theory for the... Hey, you saw that face.
Craig (05:04.298)
This podcast gives Rob's information and gives him some thoughts and ideas. So anyway, also one more thing before we move on is that we've actually my team has completed level one of the clan wars has your team.
Rob Vardeman (05:09.715)
Interesting.
Rob Vardeman (05:17.714)
Uh, my solo clan has not, but that is possibly because I've been, yeah, I play, I play all by myself.
Craig (05:20.802)
Oh, are you a solo clan?
Craig (05:27.794)
So your solo clan has not and yet level one doesn't require a golden carrot, just saying.
Rob Vardeman (05:35.038)
Oh slam ouch got me there. Um I haven't redeemed for mine yet. There's a good reminder. I need to write a little note for myself. Well done.
Craig (05:43.012)
Mm hmm. Jeez, geez. All right, Rob, we're gonna get in now. Enough of the banter, the chit chat and the chin wag. Let's get into the week that was. We had plenty of events in the USA. We had Arizona, Minnesota, Missouri, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida as well.
Rob Vardeman (05:59.902)
Wow. Yes, we did. And out there in the world, we had one in British, British Columbia. Sorry, forgot. And Ontario there in Canada. We've had them in UK, Germany, Finland, Denmark. As far as the leaderboards go, yeah, leaderboards. Some good days there. We had Friday, 90 mile had 300,000 points. Nice one.
Craig (06:00.894)
Yeah.
Craig (06:07.904)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (06:15.387)
and the leaderboards. Yeah, yeah.
Craig (06:23.218)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (06:25.694)
Saturday Bullseye Shooter 449,000 and Sunday Coal Cracker 7, well done, 226,000. On that day, we've got some events coming up. Tell us about them.
Craig (06:36.426)
Wow. We do. The events coming up in US, we have Alabama, California, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, and around the world Rob, we have.
Rob Vardeman (06:46.766)
Finland, England, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, and Craig's favorite?
Craig (06:56.154)
ACT in Australia. And the reason why it's my favorite is good friends of mine are actually a regular host, monthly regular hosts in ACT Australia. And they start, I believe they started back up Munzee big time, just over 12 months ago as well, which is really, really cool. And of which one of the hosts is the question of the week, Rob, for you. The question of the week comes from Kitty Katch in Australia this week. So that's pretty cool. Mm. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (07:21.63)
Oh, all right. That's exciting times. Well, last week we had a special guest. My better half, Lou. Yes. So she came on, talked with us about Christmas events. The good news is that she was very busy this week. I've seen the workload. She's been very busy. Lots of Christmas events were popping up on the calendar. So a reminder to everyone, she works with the hosts.
Craig (07:27.562)
Yes, we did.
Craig (07:39.061)
Mmm.
Rob Vardeman (07:47.166)
Um, you need to check the calendar in order to find, uh, any of those, uh, events that are local to you, because there are some special goodies that you get and the main one in particular is the Emerald. The Emerald is something that you can actually buy in the store. It's $10. So everyone that goes to the events and caps, uh, I think it's the event badge that you capture, um, receives it's deployed on their account and Emerald. So that's.
Craig (07:57.085)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (08:04.575)
Mm. Yeah.
Craig (08:11.594)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (08:16.698)
Wow. Yeah. For nothing. For going to an event. I like it. I've got a few emeralds myself, Rob. I enjoy the emeralds too. And I understand the emerald gardens and how they're done. It's very similar to the way Dale does his, um, his gardens when he, you know, deploys the automatic deploy gardens. I enjoy those Rob and Dale just recently did another one this week too, which is really cool and appreciate you, Dale. Good work, mate. I love, love what you do, mate. And yes, I did buy a couple of those too. So
Rob Vardeman (08:18.056)
$10 free worth of stuff just for going to an event. Yeah, let me just show it up.
Rob Vardeman (08:36.191)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (08:45.238)
They're pretty cool. Guys, any more events, et cetera, look for the events page itself on the app, on the app, yes, on the app, or on the website. All links are in the show notes. Rob, this week, what's happening this week from today being Friday the 10th.
Rob Vardeman (08:45.831)
Ayy.
Rob Vardeman (09:01.31)
Well, we kicked off double points on all greeting cards, flats, gaming, evolution and mystery munchies. So that started at midnight and it's going to run through Sunday, November 12th at 2359 MHQ. So that's 1159 PM rolling into Monday. So yeah, everyone get out there. Find them.
Craig (09:18.382)
Mm hmm. Wow. So we should see, we should see bigger points this weekend then. I'm gonna say, my tip is this weekend's gonna be bigger points than last weekend, just saying.
Rob Vardeman (09:26.363)
This
Rob Vardeman (09:30.33)
There's 20 events or something like that on this weekend So yeah, we're gonna see a lot of big points from those events from all the double points So everybody get your deploys in look for the events and yeah Use your tip of the week from last week in order to find the quick way to deploy
Craig (09:33.338)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (09:37.903)
Mm-hmm. Yep.
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (09:49.746)
Exactly. And those greeting cards, if it's double points on greeting cards, that means double points on not only capping them, but also deploying them as well. So if you haven't yet deployed your greeting cards in any of the events all over the world, get to it this weekend and get to it now as you're listening to this, just saying what else is happening? Speaking of cards, Rob, what happened with cards this week? Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (09:58.353)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (10:11.535)
We dropped a few new cards, which we thought were kind of fun variants. So obviously it's kind of like going to the store and buying a card. There are literally cards for everything. So why not put some more out? So No Shave November got a card this year. So I don't know if you're familiar with No Shave November, but we did a Movember campaign.
Craig (10:17.215)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (10:25.758)
Yeah.
Craig (10:31.59)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (10:37.234)
years ago, seven, eight, nine, it's been a while, um, where we all shaved and then, um, leading into the month. And then we didn't shave for the whole month of November, like grew a mustache. And mine was quite scary. Um, so yeah, so we did that. It's all about, uh, men's health awareness, prostate cancer, all that kind of stuff. Um, so just to shout out there, uh, we also have the winner chicken dinner card, we have one that is breaking bread, not breaking bad, which I know you're familiar with.
Craig (10:39.204)
Mmm.
Craig (10:48.614)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (10:55.778)
Correct. Yeah.
Craig (11:05.762)
Hahaha
Rob Vardeman (11:07.398)
and the pay it forward card as well. So. Yeah, breaking bread, you know, yeah, makes sense.
Craig (11:11.586)
for Thanksgiving, I dare say. That sounds good, that sounds really good. Yeah. Breaking bread and pay it forward. That's Thanksgiving sort of stuff, that's cool. Yeah, in November, I did November as well, years ago, when I was actually at work in Australia, police officer, and yes, I grew this mad looking mustache with handlebars in a police uniform. The whole, my whole team did it as well. My whole office did it.
Rob Vardeman (11:33.706)
Oh.
Craig (11:38.398)
And then right at the end of the month, we went out with our cars and got office photos, just like super troopers. So there you go. With our little, what we call hair dryers, the laser guns and everything, but anyway. What else was launched this week, Rob, on Wednesday? Something was launched on Wednesday this week.
Rob Vardeman (11:45.107)
Oh, yeah, I can I can only imagine how that would have looked in uniform and everything else like that. That's great. Oh, yeah
Rob Vardeman (11:56.727)
Ha ha ha!
Rob Vardeman (12:01.962)
Yeah, so we put a new duo Mac out in the store. That's what we call them whenever we've got two Macs that kind of combine together into creating a third.
Craig (12:10.514)
Was.
So it was the last one that like that yin and yang one, like the black and the white one and they did, is that the one that I'm talking about? Oh, that's a duomic. Yes.
Rob Vardeman (12:17.322)
Mm-hmm exactly the two opposite sides. Yeah that formed together So if you deployed a yen and a yang Mac both of them in the same MHQ calendar day Then it auto deployed that yin yang Mac So basically it's three max for the price of two if you will yeah when it comes to the cogs Yeah, so you've got three bouncing around. That's always fun. So this one this time
Craig (12:26.452)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:31.163)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:35.182)
Wow. Three for two. Yeah. That's cool. That's cool. And so what's this one then? What's this one then? What's... yeah.
Rob Vardeman (12:47.234)
is I think my mic or my headset or something note to you, it must be that it's not synced up or something because it comes through as we're both talking. So yeah, sorry.
Craig (13:00.83)
Oh yeah, that's the crossover. It's all good though. Yep.
Rob Vardeman (13:03.454)
Okay, sorry. So yeah, there's me throwing in. Oops, sorry, there's not. Oh, yeah. So this time, this time there is a spring mech and a fall mech. And those two things formed together to deploy the equinox mech. Each of them have unique scatters, which is a good thing. The these have come out because it is spring in the southern hemisphere. It is fall.
Craig (13:32.791)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (13:33.402)
in the Northern Hemisphere and the Equinox has just passed, you know, just a back a bit ago. So it gives us an opportunity to kind of, I guess, celebrate those things and put the two together and it forms the Equinox.
Craig (13:40.403)
Mm.
Craig (13:44.954)
I like it. I like it. See, it's, this is a worldwide game, Rob. You're talking about the world here. You're not talking about just the Northern hemisphere in the United States of America, your toilet with just the fall, but you're also talking about Australia in spring too. So, and in spring in Australia, just to let you know, just make sure you wear hard hats. If you're going to ride a bike in Australia at this point in time, because the magpies are out, it's in, they actually pick people on their heads as they go by. Anyway, I digress.
Rob Vardeman (14:00.5)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (14:11.554)
Why? Because of Lou's bike riding, I have actually heard that. It's really crazy, isn't it? Yeah, really crazy.
Craig (14:15.982)
Oh, yes. It is. It is. It is crazy. Yeah. Um, even to the point as well with the, uh, the motorcyclists who, um, deliver the mail and everything as well. They get hit often to doing the same mail delivery all the time too. But anyway, I'm digressing. I'm going to get now to the Munzee monthly moments videos. Speaking of videos, the monthly moments videos themselves.
Rob Vardeman (14:31.979)
Wow.
Rob Vardeman (14:36.003)
Yes.
Craig (14:39.626)
Rob, you can now upload them on an Instagram real, which you couldn't do before. And that's all thanks to Sam and the team as well when their chats back and forward, back and forward meta. I'm lucky enough to sort of be in that little realm a little bit lucky slash unlucky. And I've seen how much work Rob has gone into it. And poor Sam on, he's got just people that know he's gone back and forth with meta to get this done like three or four times already, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
Rob Vardeman (14:54.996)
Mm hmm. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (15:09.526)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (15:09.63)
Well done, Sam. Good shout out to you, mate. I know he listens to this show.
Rob Vardeman (15:13.275)
Yeah, he does. And yeah, it's always weird, tiny little things that the whenever we have to get anything approved. And like you, I'm very, very happy that I don't have to be in those details.
Craig (15:25.126)
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Well, the videos, they're working well. We've got 12 entries so far in the Munzee monthly videos. Now, if you don't, if you don't, yeah, links are in the description, of course, as well. If you don't know what they are, go to the YouTube channel, the Munzee YouTube channel itself. And also, there's a video out there, you'll see my ugly mug, and I'll show you how to do this one. This one's for a gym POY. Now, Rob, I don't have a gym POY. And I don't have the $10 to buy one.
Rob Vardeman (15:33.343)
That's good.
Rob Vardeman (15:49.038)
Hmm.
Craig (15:54.71)
But you know what? I'd like to probably trade with someone else who's in the same position as me. I don't know how to get a gym P or Y, but somehow I got one because I just, I don't know. I maybe looked on the Redeem store. Anyway, that's it. I can't say any more than that. The hint is done. The cat's out of the bag. Meow, meow, meow. I'm just saying so. Ha ha ha.
Rob Vardeman (15:55.242)
Uh-oh.
Rob Vardeman (16:14.074)
Yes, indeed. Yes, indeed. Very, very much sprung out of the bag. So, yeah, that was one of the things that you mentioned a couple of episodes ago is just that that's kind of one of your rotations is to go and check that redeem store because you never know when I get bored and might put new stuff in there because that is generally when it happens. So always good to check it.
Craig (16:18.286)
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Craig (16:24.792)
Mmm.
Craig (16:30.683)
Yeah.
Craig (16:34.791)
Exactly.
Craig (16:38.85)
There was other new stuff in there too, I must say. It wasn't just that, it was other things in there too, which I actually appreciate. So anyway, that's pretty cool. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (16:41.924)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (16:46.928)
Yeah. I, um, I like to do, I like to do some fun stuff in there every now and then. So weird names or whatever else it may be. Always fun.
Craig (16:52.727)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, exactly. I like it. I like it. So these new Munzee owned bouts have been popped up over the last four days.
Rob Vardeman (17:03.69)
Uh, well, we just ended the, um, which is potions that we were talking about. And those, those have been gone for four days and I know you're in morning and so many other people are. And yes. So what's happened is they've been gone for four whole days. And so, you know, what happens, everybody starts chatting and they start to wonder like, you know, when's the next set going to creep in and, um, there's, you never know.
Craig (17:09.953)
Oh
Craig (17:15.848)
Is that what it is?
Ahem.
Yeah.
Craig (17:26.479)
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (17:32.978)
It's one of those things where it's always good to keep one eye on the map. You know, and everybody kind of knows the general timeframe of when these things launch. We do like to launch things when we're in the office so that we can have one eye on the map as well. So.
Craig (17:34.489)
Yeah.
Craig (17:40.576)
Yeah.
Craig (17:49.838)
True, true. Or maybe just as the Munzee headquarters breaks for lunch, just saying. Next episode, exactly. Again, see Rob, see people, if you listen to this podcast itself, listen intently,
Rob Vardeman (17:58.71)
Mmm, always possible. Maybe we'll have something else to talk about next episode. So please tune back in. I bet we do by next episode. Yes.
Craig (18:17.398)
the words that come out of Rob's mouth, especially when Rob slows down his speech, you know that maybe you should be listening to that point in time, just saying. Ha ha ha.
Rob Vardeman (18:29.002)
You know what's happening, Craig, is the wheels are turning in my head, right? And that is specifically because there are so many cool things that we are doing right now. And it's difficult for me because I sit in the position of working on all of these things and being super excited about all the stuff that we're talking about and wanting to say
Craig (18:33.92)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:40.432)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:48.553)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (18:53.99)
the word that is associated with, you know, what I'm working on or what we're talking about or what we're super excited about and when it's going to come out and when and what and I want to talk about all of it. And the only way for me to not slip is to slow down my mouth to this to get my brain to slow down to really, really think about more importantly, what not to say as opposed to what to say.
Craig (18:55.562)
Ha ha
Craig (19:01.655)
Yeah.
Craig (19:13.142)
Yeah.
Craig (19:23.442)
Yes, exactly. I can understand Rob as well. You're passionate and you're excited about this game, like everyone who plays it really is. And so to be on the forefront, to be there and to know what's coming up, but not be able to say anything, that would kill me. Hence the reason why I'm only in the background here. I'm only in the background. I'm not part of the team. I'm only in the background. Just saying. I just see the show notes. No, no, no.
Rob Vardeman (19:40.343)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (19:44.822)
Yeah, we don't let you see all right. Don't let you see all the things because then, yeah, then you would have to do the same as me. And it's different.
Craig (19:52.658)
Oh, and it's hard for me as well because my, I talk fast as it is. So anyway, Rob, we're gonna move on now to the Munzee question of the week. And we've got two of them because one of them is from Father of Grace, 2013. He asked, will there be a Thanksgiving mech or bouncer that scatters candy corn or similar? But we may have answered or unanswered, I'm not sure.
Rob Vardeman (19:58.323)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (20:13.526)
Ooh, well, yeah, so we just put out the fall and spring Mac. So that kind of covers part of the question. The other part of the question being something that scatters like what we've done in the past, where I think it was last year we did pump coins that people could accumulate using the redeem store. We also dig candy corn. I will just throw out there.
Craig (20:22.638)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (20:30.359)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:34.166)
That's right.
Craig (20:39.394)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (20:42.034)
like some transparency, honest truth about what all is going on. We were kicking around an idea for all of this. However, we got backed up enough as we were trying to get November, December ready and out the door that we aren't going to do a full on campaign with this at this point in time for Thanksgiving, which is the question. And that's the answer to Thanksgiving. So no.
Craig (20:50.407)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:57.364)
Yep.
Craig (21:09.138)
Very good, very good. And I will say this as well, and this is not from Rob and it's not on the show notes, right? This is from my own memory and recollection. If you missed out on the last week's episode, that last week's episode, episode number four of this podcast, if you missed out on that, go back and listen to it because Rob, you may have let something a little bit out of the bag in that episode coming up towards this month.
Rob Vardeman (21:23.535)
Mm. Yeah.
Craig (21:36.662)
That's all I'm gonna say. I am not gonna say anymore because I have this in my mind. I think I know what it is and I am putting things in a place, getting ready for this, just saying. So that's all I'll say. Happy Thanksgiving. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (21:41.439)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (21:47.55)
Well, I, right, I'm excited for that and I look forward to seeing if you know what I know. That will be really, really good. Oh yeah, I was going to say the answer to another question, but it hasn't been asked and I don't even mean the one that's coming up. I was just thinking beyond. So I'm going to stop now. What, are there any other? I think you said there was another question. What's it?
Craig (22:06.894)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, go for it.
Craig (22:13.534)
Yes, yes, there is one more question from Kitty Catch in ACT Australia, good friend of mine. And she asks, Rob, what is your favorite Munzee type and why? I think that's a great question. It's a personal question for you.
Rob Vardeman (22:25.858)
Do you know this is a question? Yeah, I actually don't get asked this question very often. Like I think I've probably only answered this two or three times like ever. Um, and like there are so many types and Lou would tell you that I have actually a really hard time being tied down to favorites in general, um, like my favorite movie, my favorite book, all that kind of stuff. However, if I had to go through and choose something.
Craig (22:32.461)
No!
Craig (22:43.061)
Mm.
Craig (22:47.807)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (22:51.714)
Yep, yep.
Rob Vardeman (22:55.318)
Um, in the Munzee world, uh, early on, like, I guess early on as in like nine years ago ish, uh, we started coming up with some of the ideas for kind of the, the scatters and, um, one that we really had a good time working on was the joystick and so we made the physical and the virtual form of the joystick. And I really thought that it was super cool.
Craig (23:04.427)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (23:15.828)
Oh.
Craig (23:19.895)
Mm-hmm.
Rob Vardeman (23:22.854)
Um, we put a lot of effort into it. We, we actually took elements from a small app that we built called Runzi. And, um, we took elements from that app and put it into the scatters from this one and alluded toward that other app. Just to see if other people would.
Craig (23:23.147)
Hmm.
Craig (23:33.17)
Oh.
Craig (23:43.814)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (23:44.758)
do it, be interested. So it was a it was a weird thing in a limited time app that was sort of an experiment. But yeah, there's like Runze Rob and there there's little coins and flies and poke, not Pokemon, but Pac Man and that kind of stuff. Yeah, yeah. So I always enjoyed that one. So there you go. Yeah. Thanks for the question. I appreciate that. Yeah, it was fun.
Craig (23:52.01)
Heheheheheheh
Craig (23:57.166)
Mm hmm. The Pac-Man, yep, yep. That's cool, so there you go. Yeah. Wow, wow, I think, yeah, I think that's a great question and very different to any other questions sort of style. Now, guys, if you have any questions at all for Rob, don't go through Rob because he, some questions he won't wanna answer and I'll put him on the spot for us, so don't worry. Go through me.
You can submit your questions for Rob via me on any of the Instagram or Facebook or Discord, et cetera. Just look under see my shell on there and then submit your questions of the week for Rob. And I'm sure I will. You know, I'm going to I'm going to hit him hard with it. That's that's what I do. I keep him honest.
Rob Vardeman (24:38.526)
Yes, please do. And yeah, I'm more than happy to answer questions to the best of my ability. Definitely. And but if people do contact me in those areas, don't be upset if I ignore you because Facebook in particular, I yeah, I may have some public interactions on the water cooler. But as far as my DMs, my private messages go, I don't interact.
Craig (24:45.842)
Yes.
Craig (24:53.607)
Yeah, he's Busy Man.
Craig (25:03.598)
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
Rob Vardeman (25:04.802)
too much, unless you've known me for about 10 years. And that's, those are the people.
Craig (25:09.026)
Lou, Lou is the only one that's allowed to slide into your DM is just saying, speaking of sliding water. I forgot to do with sliding, but the Munzee tip of the week, um, it's got to do with the app. Now, again, I looked at this and thought to myself, well, maybe people, some people don't know about this little trick in the app itself. I didn't know about it until about six months ago when I was on a road trip away and someone, someone else told me about this trick.
Rob Vardeman (25:12.979)
Indeed, indeed.
Craig (25:36.414)
And that is if you're on an app now, obviously best if you're a passenger in the vehicle at the time, just saying. You're on the app, if you're a passenger and you're driving down the highway, you know, Rob, you would know, you can actually long press the target button on the map. Now the target button is on the bottom left of the screen. And then the map will follow you. In other words, it will keep your pin in the center of the screen. So you can just see what's coming up.
touch it and virtually cap, touch it and virtually cap. You don't have to keep moving the map up or down or trying to follow the highway yourself. So yeah, that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool.
Rob Vardeman (26:13.05)
It's true. It is that little center button that pulls the map with you. Now, the extension on this is if you zoom way in and you have this on, it's going to stay with you. So any scatters and all that kind of stuff are going to fall off the map very, very quickly. So don't be zoomed in super, super far would be my advice to you. And a second
Craig (26:17.93)
Mmm.
Craig (26:22.775)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (26:26.39)
Yeah.
Craig (26:30.558)
Yeah.
Craig (26:34.882)
That's right. Yeah.
Craig (26:39.503)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (26:43.282)
extension to the tip. If you deploy something, you will like while you have this on, it will be in follow mode. So don't try and quick deploy things, virtual specifically while you're in follow mode and actively moving, it will probably give you an error. And so there you go. It's a great tip. And I think you'd be surprised at how many people don't know that actually.
Craig (26:48.812)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (26:52.905)
Hahahaha
Craig (26:56.68)
Yeah.
Craig (27:06.474)
Yeah, there you go. Yeah.
Wow. So there we go. Um, just shout out to my clan members because they told me about that one too. So yeah, less than 12 months, you know, 12 months old in terms of Munzee play. And yet here they are giving me great tips like that too. So thank you. And big shout out to my Munzee clan for that. So Rob, that ends another episode right here. Do you have any more tips of that such as needed because we've got two minutes left. So
Rob Vardeman (27:17.802)
Hmm. Yeah.
Rob Vardeman (27:28.512)
Excellent.
Rob Vardeman (27:36.458)
Man, no, I don't. I wish that I could think of anything else just to fill the time, because you know that I could. But I guess we'll have to move on. So thanks everyone for joining us on, thanks everyone for joining us on this Munzee adventure.
