Craig (00:01.237)
Welcome to the official Munzee Podcast.

Rob Vardeman (00:04.114)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.

Craig (00:08.273)
and I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell. I'm here to explore the world of Munzee from within.

Rob Vardeman (00:13.95)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, discover treasures, and inform players from around the world just what's coming your way.

Craig (00:21.233)
So sit back, relax as today we chat about the week that was, things that have creeped into our maps, information on the new look for events of 2024, a very, very important question for Rob from a player. And of course, as always, ending with the Munzee tip of the week, Rob, your week mate, how have you been? You were down last week a little bit.

Rob Vardeman (00:39.914)
I know, you know, well, there might be a theme. What can I say? Yeah, that's just I don't know what's going on. You know what? I was gonna say I don't know what's going on. It just hit me. The sun is not out and available very much here in England during this portion of the year. We've just transitioned into the dark times. And

Craig (00:47.448)
Hahaha.

Craig (00:52.965)
What? Yeah, what is it?

Craig (01:06.397)
And that's why. It's true. 100%.

Rob Vardeman (01:08.398)
Oh man, that has to be it because I can't get out as much during the day. That's what it is. Wow.

Craig (01:13.525)
Yeah, yeah, that's what it is. You're fresh air and sunshine mate. It's always needed.

Rob Vardeman (01:20.174)
Wow, I didn't even think of it, but you know what else? Kind of got the lonely player blues. I've read about all these players online, you know, that you're the only hardcore player in town. Whoa is me. I'm Eeyore now as well, because I actually have to walk quite far to get to Munzees that I haven't already capped and all the Qrewzees that come on. Like I have I have walked. I have cleared out a very large section of town, so it's good for me to walk.

Craig (01:23.384)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (01:27.552)
Oh.

Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (01:50.262)
But yeah.

Craig (01:51.389)
Hang on. Don't you live with another supposedly hardcore player being Lou Vardeman? She's flat Lou.

Rob Vardeman (01:59.606)
Well, I will say that I do live with another player. Yes. Yes, she, if you check her account, doesn't play nearly as much as I do. But don't do that. Don't check her account. Anyway, it is true. I'm the main player of the family. Her boys both have accounts. My son does as well, but he's in Florida. So anyway, lots of family members.

Craig (02:11.704)
Oh.

Craig (02:14.941)
No. Hehehehehehehehehehe

Mm hmm. Right. Yep. Yeah. They busy.

Rob Vardeman (02:28.174)
here. It's mainly me. So the good news is in relation to all of these Munzee blues that I am feeling, we are actually headed toward some sunshine for the weekend. Lou has a big bike race. So yes, I'm going to some fresh Munzee territory. Exciting times.

Craig (02:31.719)
Wow.

Craig (02:36.317)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (02:41.953)
Oh, yeah. Oh, nice.

And as, as we all know, Rob, cause I follow you on your personal, um, page as well, like YouTube at beer snob, Rob. Um, yeah, having a beer at a brewery and capping a little flat robot, the brewery that's nice. Isn't it? I've put out a few for you, mate. Did you see those?

Rob Vardeman (02:56.535)
Oh yeah.

Rob Vardeman (03:04.586)
I have definitely decorated some breweries around the world that are the kinds of places that I would like to visit. You and Josh, a geocaching vlogger, seems to do some of that stuff as well. I enjoy seeing those and maybe one day I'll get to go visit them in person. So tell me about your week. How's it been?

Craig (03:11.433)
Exactly.

Craig (03:19.607)
Yeah.

Hmm. Well, speaking of Josh, the geocaching vlogger, him and Minnesota boy, um, last weekend went to an event in Minnesota. We're going to talk about the event soon, but they went to an event in Minnesota. Now I was a little bit disheartened because Rob Josh got back to me and he said, Craig, I spoke to everyone at the event and people go, Oh, is there a Munzee podcast? What? Wow. What? I know. Right. Yeah. So we need to.

Rob Vardeman (03:45.858)
What? No. I hope he did his job and shared about it. Okay, good, good.

Craig (03:53.657)
Of course you did. Of course you did. So if you're listening to this podcast right now, thank you and welcome by the way, but do this, please spread the word amongst, you know what, amongst your clan friends. So in your clan chat group, you can actually chat in your chat group, believe it or not, because some people don't. I was in a clan before the one I'm in now that didn't chat at all. The one I'm in now never stops. It's great. But yeah, if you're in your chat group in your clan, just say,

Rob Vardeman (04:00.663)
Yes.

Rob Vardeman (04:07.116)
Mm.

Craig (04:22.417)
Have you heard of the Munzee, the official Munzee podcast? If not, it's out there and take a look. So just to let you know, spread the word guys. Yeah, cause Rob's here, Rob's here, like divulging secret information that, you know what? I won't say what it is, but I got it right like two weeks ago, just saying, and I'm reaping the rewards as we speak. Yeah, I might go 10 pin bowling. I'll just say that. Ooh. I know, right? See guys, all this information you needed. But speaking of stats as well, Rob.

Rob Vardeman (04:29.794)
Please help us out.

Rob Vardeman (04:43.958)
Hey, you're a real turkey.

Craig (04:52.757)
The show itself is going well. It's the top five locations in order. Rob, ready for this? In order. Number one, of course, is going to be the U.S. of A. You know, that's just stock standard. But number two, were you surprised at number two?

Rob Vardeman (05:01.386)
Yes. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (05:06.379)
Number two, I'm impressed. Australia, you did it. Yeah.

Craig (05:08.169)
Yeah, Australia. Well done. The good old down under is beating the UK, the UK is in third Netherlands in fourth and Germany is in fifth. Guys, if we've got Germany in fifth place, who is a non English speaking background, and this is Robin, I only talk English. Well, Rob, Rob talks American, I talk Australia, but it's the same thing. Then we can do it from there. Top three cities Rob for statistics as well. Number one city, New York. Yeah, New York.

Rob Vardeman (05:25.044)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, close.

Rob Vardeman (05:33.998)
New York? Yeah, you know what? That has to be people transferring through all kinds of places, because yeah, yeah.

Craig (05:41.021)
through. There has to be some sort of IRL thing, whatever it's called. Number two city in the world, Sydney, Australia. There you go. Number three city in the world, Canberra, Australia. So there you go. Yeah. I know. Yeah. You know what this you notice I reach out to my friends and people over there in the my geo world, I call it

Rob Vardeman (05:49.174)
What? Look at that.

Rob Vardeman (05:55.266)
How'd you do it? You've got two Australian cities in the top. Three, not bad.

Craig (06:06.953)
And yeah, they listen because they enjoy us and they enjoy you and they enjoy the information that they are now receiving from the actual podcast. So get the word out there guys, this show does exist amongst your clan friends. Meanwhile, getting on now, because it's six minutes into it, how was the activity last week, Rob? We had events in US.

Rob Vardeman (06:22.349)
Whoa.

Rob Vardeman (06:27.05)
We did. We had events in Alabama, California, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, and then across the world in Finland, England, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, and ACT in Australia.

Craig (06:43.461)
We did, we did. And obviously we're gonna shout out as well to the leaderboards. The leaderboard on Friday, we had the Jenks seven, almost 1.5 million points on Friday. And guess what? Over 500,000 points above second place. And second place was Vincenzo. Is that how you say that? Vincenzo? I think so. V1 in Senzo. Saturday, Rob, what do we have Saturday?

Rob Vardeman (06:48.043)
Oh yeah.

Rob Vardeman (07:00.546)
Wow.

Rob Vardeman (07:03.854)
I think so. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (07:10.022)
Double point weekend as you can tell from all of these scores and the event the number of events on Saturday We had her be with just over six hundred thousand. He hosts UK event each month And so yeah, he chooses good locations Cap on points, I believe Unicorn 55 LA soft Tim and wheezy in the five hundred thousand range as well

Craig (07:11.585)
It was. It was. Yeah.

Craig (07:27.197)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (07:36.897)
Yeah, you can really tell it was a double point weekend. Sunday we had Regale, is it Regale? Over 700,000 Regale? And then a close, very close second and third is, I'm gonna butcher these names. Dolky68 and Aransog. Aransog? Aransog, there you go. It's close second and third. Yeah, but.

Rob Vardeman (07:42.15)
I think, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (07:53.418)
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure we say I'm wrong, but what are you gonna do?

Craig (07:59.657)
Exactly. You know what you can do if you, if we say it wrong messages back in any of those social media and, uh, and we'll say it right for the next week. Exactly. We do.

Rob Vardeman (08:05.054)
Mm-hmm. I think that's a great idea. This weekend, we've got more events coming up. We've got a couple in the US and Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Nebraska, South Carolina, and there's only one outside the USA, and that's down in lovely Victoria, Australia.

Craig (08:20.998)
Yeah.

Craig (08:25.585)
It's not really that lovely to be honest with you, Josh. Listen to me, I'm calling you Josh now. Rob, it's not that, I'm gonna get banned from Victoria, but I'm a New South Welshman. So hence the reason, there's always a battle between the three states in Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. It's the three main states that battle all the time. The other states just exist, but they're the three main states that battle.

Rob Vardeman (08:29.862)
Oh no, oh no.

Rob Vardeman (08:47.631)
Well, alright, I'm pretty sure I've been to Victoria. Yeah, so, yes, I have.

Craig (08:51.625)
Yeah. Victoria is one of those states where you have all six seasons in one day. So it's very, very similar to UK apparently. So yeah, there you go. Yep. Lou, she's busy at the moment. She was going to join us, but she's out getting her nails done and going for a ride. Apparently. So I know you're welcome, Luke. Mm hmm. Yeah. Yes.

Rob Vardeman (08:57.308)
Oh yeah.

Yes, yes, sounds about right.

Rob Vardeman (09:09.822)
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. She's going to she's going to love that. But yes, she is indeed. She's very busy. We've got a lot of Christmas events going on. And she was going to join us to talk about the new information. Twenty twenty four events. However, yeah. Bit busy because, like I said, we're headed out for this weekend. The big bike race. So she's got to do everything necessary for that prep.

Craig (09:32.361)
Yeah. Well, speaking of the events, why don't we start off with the developments in regards to the events that's coming up for next year. We'll start off with the events, shall we?

Rob Vardeman (09:43.166)
Yeah, so earlier this week, we put out the 2024 event info and you're stuck with me to tell you about it. Sorry. So I we've heard a lot from the host Lou hears from them obviously all the time. I've gone to quite a few events and just have chats with people about how it's all going. One of the requests is after two years of these monthly events. Excuse me.

Craig (09:48.774)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (09:52.19)
Yeah.

Craig (09:59.086)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (10:12.358)
After two years of these monthly events, people have kind of said, you know, it feels almost more like a requirement and a chore and tiring, I suppose, for the hosts who work hard to host these monthly events. So we're not doing them next year. We're going to do away with the monthly events, you know, like go to one each month, host one each month in order to earn badges, in order to earn permanent types. So

Craig (10:21.873)
Yeah.

Craig (10:28.174)
Okay.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (10:35.473)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (10:39.586)
Those are going away. We still want people to host events. Yeah, so we're actually going to do sort of special packages throughout the year several times, a handful of times, let's say. So it's gonna be similar to like the Christmas events are right now with us kind of telling you right now that the first one is going to be in February. And those are going to be sort of love-based events.

Craig (10:42.301)
Absolutely.

Craig (10:50.086)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (11:03.246)
Okay.

Craig (11:07.96)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (11:09.194)
you know, love Munzee, if nothing else. So it doesn't have to be like, Ooh, romantic love. Uh, so there'll be some options. It'll be, like I said, similar to the, the way that they're set up now. Um, anybody who wants to have badges and special icons and stuff for their events, that's still going to be available just like it was back in the past. Uh, we're just not going to set up packages. Um, like they have been for the past two years. It's a little bit different. Yeah.

Craig (11:12.413)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Craig (11:21.958)
Okay.

Craig (11:37.369)
Makes sense. Makes sense, makes sense. And as you said before, it then takes the stress off those event hosts for every single month, you know, but they can do it whenever they want now instead, so.

Rob Vardeman (11:46.762)
Some, absolutely. And we know that people will still get together because you've kind of trained yourself for two years to meet together each month. And a lot of people, I mean, this is something that they look forward to. It's something that I look forward to. And it's your time to get together with your clan or with family and friends that are actually Munzee family and friends. So yeah, so still get them out there on the calendar and look for those and go to attend.

Craig (11:53.786)
Yeah.

Craig (12:00.854)
Yeah.

Craig (12:04.912)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (12:08.386)
Yeah, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (12:15.638)
So we've also made a change to mega events. Yeah.

Craig (12:19.309)
Oh, because they were only new for this year, weren't they? Mega events they started this year.

Rob Vardeman (12:23.79)
Yeah, yeah, just this year, we decided that we would give the title of mega event, you know, and, and the idea behind mega events was large events, honestly, taking the idea from, you know, geocaching, where you have to get to a certain point. Now, we, we knew that we were going to have to figure out the idea as we moved through this process. So we have, we're not going to make this an application process like it.

Craig (12:27.967)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Craig (12:32.709)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (12:36.282)
Yeah, of course.

Craig (12:46.648)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (12:51.614)
was this year was like you tell us you want to do a mega event here's a special package we'll put together it'll be you know four events across the weekend we're not going to do that anymore if you want to have one event on a weekend great go ahead and do that if you want to have four or five or however many it's all up to you the way that they will be determined to be mega is if they reach 50 players so seems pretty easy for

Craig (13:01.021)
Mm-hmm. Okay.

Craig (13:11.195)
Okay.

Craig (13:18.675)
Oh, nice, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (13:20.994)
For us, those are mega events. We will continue to grow and hopefully we'll get back into the 100, 150, 200, 250. The largest event we've ever had was in Germany at over 250 players multiple years ago, pre-COVID. And so we hope to get back to those days. So hopefully by doing away with the monthly events, we'll make it where instead we get back to some of the larger events where people might.

Craig (13:23.962)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (13:32.989)
Wow.

Craig (13:36.198)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Craig (13:49.948)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (13:51.242)
travel, come and hang out that kind of thing.

Craig (13:53.925)
I was going to say Rob as well. And what we've discussed, uh, off, off air itself was that, you know, if you want to host one of these mega events, if you're thinking about hosting these mega events, of course, getting in contact with Lou and get a start on it from there as well, but obviously Lou and Rob live under the same household. So they talk as well. So Lou can then say to Rob, Oh, look, there's this, these people here, it's a French in Florida or in Germany or wherever you are, want to host a mega event, can you publicise a little bit more on the podcast and you know what we will.

We'll turn out there and we'll say, look, you know, in February, next year, you get your, get your butts to Florida, get you wherever else it might be. So I only say Florida. Cause I think that's the next big one coming up, but I may be going to just say.

Rob Vardeman (14:33.534)
Ooh, it is. Um, maybe both of us. Um, yes. So that is the nice part. And, um, we do have January in Florida. This is already on the calendar, January in Florida, March is Muncie madness. They've always done this event. This will be there. I can't even remember 12th year or however many years it's been that they've done it. They've done it every year. Uh, and then Muncie manias in Minnesota, those three are already on the calendar. They typically draw more than 50 people.

Craig (14:44.475)
one. Yeah.

Craig (14:51.17)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (14:56.39)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (15:03.45)
We know that there are events that are scattered across Europe, specifically there's one in the UK where they draw more than 50 people. So the question is, when will they put their events on the calendar? When would they like for people to come and earn this? This is going to be a brand new badge. So it's not the normal 50 attendee badge. This is going to be a new 2024 mega event badge and most likely specific to each event that earns it. So it'll be.

Craig (15:14.886)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:22.045)
You're wrong.

Craig (15:27.377)
That's really cool.

Craig (15:31.781)
Wow. There you go. And you have one more change as well in regards to events. What's the, what's the last change you've got?

Rob Vardeman (15:32.298)
Um, unique. Yeah. So, uh, yeah. So this one's the last one and it's actually the coolest one and, uh, it's event credits. So we're going to put something together to encourage you to go to those events and to thank the people who are the hosts. Um, by capping things, you'll earn little credits, um, similar to Zeds, but not Zeds. Um,

Craig (15:42.984)
Mm.

Craig (15:50.777)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:59.099)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (15:59.638)
you to use in the redeem store. So there will be some unique items in the in the redeem store, kind of like a premium section right now. There will be an event section so that you can redeem for special prizes. Cool.

Craig (16:03.238)
Wow.

Craig (16:09.467)
Mm-mm.

section.

Wow. There you go guys. If you're listening to this, you heard it first right here, right now, a new section at the redeem store is coming in. It's called events. And, uh, and when you go and attend an event, you can claim credits for attending the events, et cetera. And then redeem stuff in the redeem store under Rob. I love that idea, mate. I love that idea. That should hopefully push people more to the events. You know what I mean? Like it should be.

Rob Vardeman (16:33.648)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (16:38.114)
Yes, yes, it's going to it's going to encourage attendance, we think, especially once we launch this redeem store and you see some of the things and maybe it'll be discounted types of items as well. So we're hoping that if you've never been to an event, this will give you a good reason to go.

Craig (16:51.852)
Hahahaha

Craig (16:58.129)
Hmm. Exactly. I'm still waiting on my little, uh, my little Rob, uh, bubblehead just saying, but anyway, that's, that's a physical item. Anyway, speaking of Rob bubble heads, uh, and people wanting to sort of flick the head a little bit and go, what's going on here, the new creepy things have come in last week, I would do believe. And you didn't announce anything on any of the social media and you didn't announce anything through Munzee and then people, Rob, I'm not sure if you saw or not, but.

Rob Vardeman (17:06.203)
Uh huh. Yeah, physical.

Rob Vardeman (17:19.988)
Yes.

Craig (17:28.153)
the water cooler, they were posting and posting and posting people going, what's this? I'm not getting any points. Should I send in a support ticket? What? I've never seen these things before. Blah, blah, blah. Did you see it at all? Like it went.

Rob Vardeman (17:40.19)
You know, I took a bit of a vacation from the Munzee water cooler because I really felt like things have been going OK, so I haven't felt the need to jump in there and, you know, make sure monitor and make sure that we're missing out on stuff. So I actually missed all of that. Yeah, however, they did creep onto the map. These are the creepy presence. They're the new mobs, and they're going to be bouncing around on the map until early January. And yeah.

Craig (17:45.309)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Mm-hmm.

Craig (17:55.758)
Oh, you missed on the fun.

Craig (18:02.186)
Mm.

Craig (18:06.863)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (18:08.678)
We launched with a few. We've put a few more out. They're going to be badges and lines all the way across. They're going to be around for quite a while. So maybe, Greg, this will be one that you don't have to use magnets and magnets and magnets. I mean, no promises.

Craig (18:10.765)
Yep. Mm-hmm.

Craig (18:18.63)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (18:24.053)
I'm hoping, I know right, I know, but I'm hoping that like once in my lifetime I get not just the virtuals, because only I get, sometimes I get the virtual packet, packs or thing, but I want to get the physical pack as well. So yeah, yeah. Meanwhile, Rob as well this week, just on Wednesday, just gone, the new secret zeops come out. I love as a secret zeop. I really do love a secret zeop. Tell me about this one. Tell me more information about this one. If people haven't read it before.

Rob Vardeman (18:33.878)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (18:46.15)
Well, yeah, so this one is called Operation Killer Crops. And it is, yeah, the ideas behind it are lots of fun. I don't know if you have seen a theme to it. But there is a horror comedy type.

Craig (19:02.318)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (19:08.undefined)
Mm.

Rob Vardeman (19:12.658)
movie. I don't know if you if it classifies even as a horror that is celebrating a 45th anniversary this year next month. And yeah, so there's this

Craig (19:24.049)
45 years, I'm 48, so I was three when it came out.

Rob Vardeman (19:27.45)
Yeah, there's this the mech looks a lot like the main character, I suppose, from the movie, Jack E to mech. So so anyway, there's a badge when you get that one that actually says something about I believe it's it says something little shop of terrors or something like that on the badge. So there's your idea for what

Craig (19:50.335)
Uhhhhhh...

Rob Vardeman (19:55.498)
what the theme of this event is kind of celebrating that movie from.

Craig (20:02.281)
I do, I do remember that movie. And the reason why I remember that movie is because the, the little plant itself is the same name as my grandmother, Audrey. So, yeah, there you go. Audrey, that's how I remembered it. So Audrey, yeah. But yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (20:11.062)
Oh yeah, all right, Audrey, and Audrey too, right. Audrey too at the end, and so there you go. Jackie too is what we've come up with. So it's got the pumpkin theme to it. All of the sort of design has come up that looks a lot like that, and all of this times in properly with what we just celebrated Halloween with these creepy presents with the.

Craig (20:30.717)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (20:38.097)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (20:38.722)
pumpkin Evo that we launched. And so you take kind of all those weird, weird things and put them together. And Dylan comes up with the story. And there you have it. Dylan.

Craig (20:50.405)
It's so funny I find with you guys and Dylan especially and this game how you just get, you know, at the start of something you get one piece of the puzzle you go what does this represent that by the end of the time the whole all the pieces fit together nicely and you go oh look at that whole storyline that you've got there. So yeah.

Rob Vardeman (21:06.954)
It's crazy. And the thing about it is too, there is a storyline to the Secret Zops. Dylan has written it carefully. It could be a book, because we've done this for so many years. And, and, you know, goes back to Agent Green and like there's all these different things that have happened across the years. And so he's got a story that is going on behind the scenes with all of these Secret Zops and

Craig (21:13.142)
Mm-hmm. Oh really?

Craig (21:20.163)
Yeah.

Craig (21:26.588)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (21:35.738)
different missions and objectives that everyone has. It's, yeah, I couldn't even tell you he's super creative. He actually made, he made Audrey and Audrey 2 out of foam pumpkins and made these decorations at his house for Halloween. He made them earlier this year. He goes all out for

Craig (21:38.269)
That's see there's underlying things. What goes on in his brain? Yeah.

Craig (21:53.945)
laughs

Craig (21:59.357)
Oh wow. Wow.

Craig (22:05.562)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (22:06.055)
does all the mechs designs and everything else. It's a lot of fun.

Craig (22:10.289)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Very cool. Very cool. All right, we're gonna move on now to the question of the week, if you like. Yeah. Question of the week. Sounds good. This question of the week comes from the one and only he's an American super Nate, his name is on Munzee. It's a very cool question. Super Nate.

Rob Vardeman (22:15.486)
Yeah, I think that's where we're at.

Rob Vardeman (22:24.194)
Hmm. Super. I met, I met Super Nate years and years and years ago. Yeah. Long time ago.

Craig (22:29.357)
Yeah. That's cool. That's cool. And you remember that's really cool. Um, this is a non Munzee related question, Rob says non mainland. This is a personal question now. It says, do you like pineapple on pizza? Me.

Rob Vardeman (22:37.344)
Oh.

Rob Vardeman (22:44.734)
Uh, who doesn't? Of course I do. Oh, what? That's just wrong. I don't understand that. So, hmm. I mean, this is like, this will always be a debate. You know, does pineapple belong on pizza for me? Absolutely. But not unlike all pizza, it has to be a few specific types. You know, you can't throw pineapple on with it. It actually doesn't work with pepperoni in my opinion. So, um, so you gotta have.

Craig (22:53.984)
Mm.

Craig (22:57.829)
Yeah. Whoa. Mm hmm.

Okay.

Craig (23:11.475)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (23:13.455)
in the States, we have Canadian bacon, which...

Craig (23:17.622)
You call it Canadian, but it's funny. Australian have that bacon as well, by the way, just saying it's that's normal bacon in Australia.

Rob Vardeman (23:23.534)
Right, exactly. So what I've come to find out is that Canadian bacon, as we call it, is actually just the part of the bacon that they eat here in the UK as well. It's that nice looking meaty section of the bacon, not the streaky bacon as it is called, that you know, you fry until it's blackened, at least at my house.

Craig (23:28.797)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (23:33.926)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Drinky bacon.

Craig (23:45.345)
American bacon has always got that, that a lot more fat in it, so to speak than what on the other. It really is. Anyway, moving on. Yes.

Rob Vardeman (23:49.654)
Oh, it's so delicious. So delicious. Anyway, you throw pineapple, pineapple on with Canadian bacon, which is also very similar to ham. Or you can just have ham, ham and pineapple. But in my family and in Texas, they do something rather special. They throw jalapenos on with it. So what you have is. A spicy Hawaiian pizza, so you've got ham and pineapple and jalapenos, so.

Craig (24:03.516)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (24:10.658)
Only in Texas.

Craig (24:15.08)
Oh, what?

Rob Vardeman (24:17.782)
I recommend to Super Nate because he can, he would only ask this question if he likes pineapple on his pizza, kick it up a notch, you know, elevate your pineapple pizza by throwing some peppers on there, peppers or chili, something hot. If you don't have jalapenos. Yeah. So thanks for the question. It was a good one.

Craig (24:22.357)
Mm hmm. Yeah.

Craig (24:33.481)
Yeah. There you go. There you go. Well, Rob, yeah, it was a cool question, but I do have, I did try it. I did. I'll be honest with you. I did try and cook a Hawaiian pizza the other day, but I burnt it. You know, I should have called, I should have cooked it on a low heart temperature. There you go. There you go. See? Brumptch. You know, stay for the jokes.

Rob Vardeman (24:43.735)
Hmm. Yeah.

Ah, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Craig (25:00.949)
As always guys, you can submit your questions for Rob via private message in my Facebook account, Instagram or on Discord and I've got a few more on Discord coming up in the weeks to come too. That's pretty cool. Let's move on Rob, we've got five minutes to spare now for the tip of the week, the monzie tip of the week. Again, I put this tip on there. What do you like this tip?

Rob Vardeman (25:19.666)
You know, I think this is actually a really good one. This this helps out with the Munzee blues, I would say.

Craig (25:22.573)
Yeah, yeah.

100% and this is exactly what I did because again, Rob, like yourself, I'm in an area and believe it or not, it's still in the US but there's no one no other players around me. I am the only player in the area. I've seen a couple come and go. And I've seen a few transients come through but yeah, I'm the only player in my area. And I call it Rob I call it setting up my nest. This is my nest. Yeah, I set up my nest. And how you set up your nest guys, purely and simply is quite easy. And that is you can purchase your Skylands.

Rob Vardeman (25:46.954)
I like it. Yes.

Craig (25:55.381)
and tree houses. Now remember Skylands themselves and tree house can be purchased through the store. The Skylands you can put it at what I think is one 1000 foot radius to cap so you don't have to put them directly on your house you can put them you know you know 900 feet away for instance whatever you can cap them you can cap them from there. Now Skylands and tree houses if you're not aware they do attract bounces and they can be kept daily. But the best thing Rob came out this year when you upgraded

the Skylands and the tree houses, in my opinion, you upgraded them so premium players like myself who don't have anyone else around for instance either, we could then cap them twice a day because then we made them premium Skylands and premium townhouses, tree houses. So yes, you can cap them twice a day if they are premium. So I like that idea.

Rob Vardeman (26:27.115)
Yes.

Rob Vardeman (26:45.558)
That idea came from players, as you can imagine, you know, people saying, hey, why, uh, why don't, why don't, why don't we have it where we can capture these twice a day because bouncers land on them and they might be there for 12 hours, but they're not going to get capped. And it was like, Hmm, that's a great idea. Why don't we do that? So we did.

Craig (26:47.869)
Mm, yeah, most of yours do.

Craig (26:59.142)
Yeah.

Craig (27:02.657)
Yeah. And I will say this as well. You lit you started off with something you listened to the players and changed it because at first when they first come out if people weren't aware, when they first came out, you had a 12 hour window. So that means if I kept it at 7am, then I can cap it again from 7pm, for instance, my time. And people were saying, hang on, that means I've got to set timers and I'm missing out. Sometimes I'm only capping in once a day because I'm not awake that so you listen to the players as you do.

and you've reset now at Munzee midnight at Munzee midday, and Munzee HQ time. So they reset each time from there. And also tree houses, if you don't know, tree houses work the same way as Skylands as well. However, they are physical, not virtual. Now, Rob, I know people who've actually set up, ready for this, they've set up a full route, either to and from work or around their area. So every single day they get out and they drive around that area.

Rob Vardeman (27:33.644)
Yes.

Craig (27:57.609)
And you can set up Skylands a certain distance apart. If you want, use Cuppa Z. Cuppa Z is the best app to actually place your Skylands, make sure that they are correctly spaced apart, but not too far apart. Yeah, one of my clan members, Purple Cache, though her name is, I'll give her a shout out, she's done this. She's newish to Munzee, about 12 months in now. And she was always like, you know, normal sort of level and stuff as well.

In the last month, this month on our clan, she's been topping the leaderboard and she hasn't gone anywhere. I said to her, what are you doing? She's like, I've set up a nest. I go, what? And I had a look at her map and yes, exactly what she's done. She's set up a round trip around her neighborhood of four Skylands. So she's put four Skylands around and literally when she goes out for, grab her lunch, you know what I mean, or whatever else as well, or shops, she'll do that round trip.

Rob Vardeman (28:45.843)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (28:48.929)
and capture all her Skylands. And then of course the one near her house is a premium. So she caps that twice. Bam, she's at the top of our leaderboard now. You know what I mean? So she is raking in the points. So guys, setting up your nest correctly is the way to go. Absolutely Rob.

Rob Vardeman (29:04.842)
Set up a nest tip, set up a nest like that with a round trip pro tip. So great one. Well done. And yeah, that's really helpful.

Craig (29:06.581)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Craig (29:11.025)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yep. Exactly. That's right. That's right. And also what I've done personally myself is I've actually got a garden here near me, near my place as well. Um, that I've, I've created a garden and my smart gardens are all virtuals. And as you know, virtuals are a great garden to have in regards to bounces landing on them quite often. So

Rob Vardeman (29:23.936)
Okay.

Craig (29:33.665)
Yeah. So again, I go, I drive down to the shops and in the garden, there's one or two bounces, some there and a couple of bounces from there too. So setting up your nest is this week's tip of the week, Rob, that is all we have for this week. And we're going right on the 30 minute mark. Look at us go. So professional. There will be.

Rob Vardeman (29:40.704)
