Seemyshell (00:02.264)
Welcome to the official Munzee podcast.

Rob (00:04.858)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Muncie.

Seemyshell (00:09.019)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell. I'm an avid Munzee player and here to explore this game further.

Rob (00:14.59)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.

Seemyshell (00:22.479)
So sit back relaxes today's episode. We're talking about road tripping. We're talking about sand, like going to the beach in this sort of weather. Rob, the other day, I was actually at the beach here in Jersey and there was snow on the sand, but we're not talking about snow on the sand. We're talking a lot of different things today. Rob, how have you been, buddy?

Rob (00:42.29)
Oh man, I have been good. I've been good, thanks for asking. I've been, yeah, been doing a little playing in the sand myself, looking for some of those new sand dollars.

Seemyshell (00:47.32)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (00:54.044)
Yes, yes, how many have you got so far?

Rob (00:57.066)
Ooh, 20 I think? Something like that. Yeah. Ooh, hey.

Seemyshell (01:00.607)
Nice. I'm on 27, mate. Just, I'm not humble brag. Yeah. 27, because they're on different ones like, you know, the beach POIs and we'll go through this as well in today's episode. But yeah, I noticed that I do like the theme in which they come about. So that's really cool. That's really cool. What else you been happening, mate? What else has been happening for you?

Rob (01:11.778)
Yeah.

Rob (01:18.066)
Yeah. Well, picked up the hydration hat badge last weekend from all the flat rob scatters, which I had to get that one. We talked about that's just hydration is important.

Seemyshell (01:24.488)
Oh

Seemyshell (01:31.521)
It's true and you're, you are the flat Rob. So like with an L, with an L, you've got an L on yours.

Rob (01:34.752)
Yeah.

Yeah, that's right. If I if I don't go get my own badges, then you know, something's wrong.

Seemyshell (01:41.191)
That's right. Exactly right. Yeah, I think I got my hydration badge as well. I think I got mine late on Sunday afternoon. So yeah, I skinned in scraped in by the skin of my teeth, which is really cool. Yep, yep, yep.

Rob (01:50.207)
Hmm, yeah.

Rob (01:54.862)
Just got it. Yep, that's good. So about you, I saw that you were promoted on the Munzee socials this week from all of your Munzee tutorial videos on YouTube.

Seemyshell (02:01.528)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (02:06.002)
Ah, yes!

Seemyshell (02:10.795)
Yes. The beginners, the beginners pretty much only, but hey, at the end of the day, Rob, we can always use, you know, getting back to the beginning, getting back to basics sometimes and just going, you know what? Oh, I forgot about that. Or I forgot about that. That, that series, Rob, I did a lot. I did a lot of research to get that series going through. And here's a tip for you. Here's one for you that no one really knows about. That entire series, Rob was filmed in one day. Yeah.

Rob (02:22.028)
Yeah.

Rob (02:35.17)
Wow, that's...

Seemyshell (02:35.951)
So that's why you see I'm wearing the same clothes with the same hat, the same location. Yes. It's true. Yeah.

Rob (02:41.363)
Continuity, right? I believe that's the word for it. Well, that's good. Well, it's great. And on the Munzee side, we're excited about it. It gives us somewhere to point new players in order to give them some of the basics. So that's good, and thank you.

Seemyshell (02:52.9)
Mm.

Seemyshell (02:57.035)
Thank you, mate. Let's be honest as well, because this is a very deep, deep game to play. It's not, when you just start, you think, oh yeah, I can just go around and cap a few QR codes and that's it. Oh no, I'm still learning Rob. I'm 18 months of hard play now. I'm going to call myself a hard player. 18 months, hard player. I'm still learning stuff. I mean, I learned some stuff from you and Josh, just the other weekend in Florida as well.

Rob (03:02.996)
Mm-hmm, yeah.

Rob (03:10.766)
Hehehe

Rob (03:18.946)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (03:25.219)
You know, so yeah.

Rob (03:25.414)
Yep. It's very easy to forget some of the things that are in the middle, you know, and then reminders and just learning tricks that people have known for years. So that's good. So how else have you been? Everything going all right?

Seemyshell (03:32.852)
Exactly.

Exactly.

Seemyshell (03:39.575)
Mate, yeah, yeah. Everything's really good. I'm actually, I'm a bit of a road trip at the moment too, in my car going, heading south, warmer weather, mate, warmer weather. And what I've noticed is I've got, I've got a bunch of, uh, of generic, um, I was gonna say, I'm gonna say geriatric there, but no generic, generic stickers. Not me just yet. Uh, generic stickers. And I've been like trying to replace ones that have been painted over. They've been scratched off. They've been, you know,

Rob (03:52.866)
Hmm.

Hahaha. Yeah.

Seemyshell (04:07.431)
And I'll be honest with you, I'm currently now in, in Delaware and it's, it's unloved here, Rob today, as we record this on Wednesday, it's cruisy day and sleepsy day. All the, all the virtuals are not a problem. I don't think virtuals go to sleepsy that often, but the, the physicals, man, they, there's so many physicals here that are just unloved. And so you can't cap them all, but you just, you know, if they're in a Duncan

Rob (04:14.698)
Oh.

Rob (04:25.375)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (04:35.175)
car park, whatever, I'll cap it as a buy a coffee, you know, like.

Rob (04:37.902)
Yeah, absolutely. Sometimes there are just too many to make a big dent. So yeah, it's all about choose a parking lot. Go walk through it or be looking for some exercise, drive to a park, you know, that kind of thing. Yep.

Seemyshell (04:44.714)
Exactly.

Seemyshell (04:50.536)
Yeah, exactly. And I got the idea too, from one of the, what do you call it? The people who put in the videos for the Munzee Monthly Moments. Her name was Purple Cash Eater and her resolution for January was to actually try and hashtag fix the game board, she calls it. So I think that's a really cool idea. Yeah. Fix the game board, go out there and yeah, she's going to try and put out the generics, et cetera, in place of those that are missing.

Rob (05:08.758)
All right. Yeah.

Seemyshell (05:18.171)
for everyone around her area and her town and her road trips as well, which is pretty cool. So anyway, we've got a lot to get on to today. Events from the week the week that was we only had the one event in Ohio Rob, that was it. That was it. Very quiet weekend. But in saying that I would have loved to have been there because it was such a quiet weekend. Like almost every player put at least one card in Ohio for that for those people to cap because

Rob (05:22.85)
Very nice.

Oh, so much. So much.

Rob (05:33.982)
Yeah, yeah. Quiet weekend, yeah.

Rob (05:45.27)
Nice. Yeah. That's great. Yeah. On the leaderboards on Friday, we had B-Fy one, one four, and they were two hundred and thirty five thousand points. Jaroslav Kaz at one hundred and eighty two thousand and Aloha Kaz one hundred and seventy two thousand.

Seemyshell (05:46.723)
We just do. That's what the Munzee world's like. So yeah, yeah. Leaderboard, Rob.

Seemyshell (06:07.007)
Oh, do you reckon that Jaroslav Kast and Aloha Kast are just distant relatives? One's in Hawaii and one's in Europe.

Rob (06:14.23)
Uh, yeah, one's in Europe. I'm not sure exactly which country. Yep, they must be. So close.

Seemyshell (06:19.359)
Well done to those three on Saturday, we had Jack Sparrow at 225K, XP2 at 216,000 and Muns Prof at 216,000 as well, but just under like I'm talking 200 points difference. Muns Prof missed out on the bridesmaids spot. He likes the bridesmaids spot. He gets third on Saturday instead of second. So there you go.

Rob (06:39.622)
Yep, that's him. Then on Sunday, we had our number one player in the world, Whelan, at 326,000. Aloha, Kos, who's our number one deployer in the world, by the way, 215,000. And then here comes Jack Sparrow again at 205,000.

Seemyshell (06:44.726)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (06:51.55)
Oh!

Seemyshell (06:56.087)
Yeah. Names we regularly hear, but I'll say this. Whelan for me is now W Helen. I'm just going to say it. Oh, he's W Helen from now on and he's going to enjoy that. Not, but anyway, exactly right. And he, and he heard it as well. So apparently, apparently the story behind it, Rob, did you hear the story behind it? No. So apparently, um, they have in Minnesota, obviously they have so many events up there every single month.

Rob (07:02.606)
Hahaha.

Rob (07:07.251)
Yeah, exactly. We heard it at the event, so that means we can call him that too.

Rob (07:18.126)
Um, no.

Seemyshell (07:25.095)
So they got a brand new Munzee player came into their, their events and was talking to people, whatever as well. And, uh, and he, she introduced, he or she introduced themselves to Weelan and, uh, Wellan and he, he said, hi, I'm Wellan. And she's like, look, she said, Oh, I thought it was W. Helen in front of everyone. I thought you were a girl. I thought you were W. Helen as like, and everyone, everyone heard us. So that's it. That makes it, uh, that makes it. Yeah.

Rob (07:50.99)
It sticks forever until he uses the button and changes his name. Then it sticks. I know, I agree. I agree.

Seemyshell (07:55.919)
He can't change his name. He's number one. Exactly. Current events this week, Rob, coming up this weekend. Only two in the US. Again, another quiet weekend I see as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But in February, Rob.

Rob (08:05.966)
finishing out the month, that's where we're at. And yeah, that's because we've got February event packages. So that information was released this week, which was pretty exciting. And so normally we'd talk about this and what happened this week. However, let's talk about it now. So the package is $75. And so the hosts that pay for this, you get the choice of a badge and icon from the options.

Seemyshell (08:14.267)
Yes. Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (08:25.251)
Yeah, let's talk about it now.

Rob (08:36.39)
that are shown on the blog. You get an emerald pin for all attendees. It's 50 exclusive February Munzee Mixer cards. Five flat lose, five flat robs, because we wanna be at all the events. And you get the proximity restrictions removed. It's going to take it so that you can deploy those things a bit closer. It's still got the normal 100 foot event pin rules.

Seemyshell (08:38.104)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (08:50.159)
Exactly.

Seemyshell (08:59.234)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (09:03.094)
And there's also a February Munzee Mixer Host badge, which I've seen, and it's actually pretty cool. So yeah, there's some good stuff in this package. And so yeah, what I would say everybody needs to do is check the calendar because there were events on for Florida for February already. But with this announcement going out earlier this week, there's new events that are being added around the world.

Seemyshell (09:10.748)
Oh... Row.

Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (09:24.555)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Seemyshell (09:32.047)
Yeah.

Rob (09:32.106)
So far the biggest one, because I like to look for, you know, which ones are big. So far the biggest one is here in the UK and they've got over 20 showing up. I've seen Herbie is making a pretty big push because he got his previous event to 46 and once, um, once there to be a mega on the south coast of England. Yeah.

Seemyshell (09:36.145)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I don't know.

Seemyshell (09:44.56)
Push

Seemyshell (09:48.743)
Mm-hmm. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah. That's fair enough. And look. Yeah.

Rob (09:55.286)
And then we've got a few Dutch events and one in Canada that aren't too far behind. They're almost to 20 already as well.

Seemyshell (10:02.303)
Yeah, I did see on the water cooler this week, Rob, as well, someone asked about the mega events. And I sort of tried to push them to say, look, yeah, we spoke about this on the podcast several times and it is in a blog anyway. And if people put the blog post on there too. But just to give people an idea, okay. Yes, you can attempt to host a mega. You won't know it's a mega until after all the attendees have capped the event on the event day. That's how it works. But if you are pushing for one, reach out.

Rob (10:11.924)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (10:32.259)
give me a message, private message me or Rob even as well, but probably me better because you know, Rob is busier than what I am.

Rob (10:38.439)
Yeah, you probably respond to a lot more than I do.

Seemyshell (10:42.063)
this is true, this is true, and say, look, hey, Craig, can you please push my event? This is the date and this is the location, which it is, I'm trying to make it bigger, I'm trying to make it mega at the moment where it's so many numbers, and there's so many in our area that can attend. And so we will mention it on this podcast as well. So yeah, make sure you reach out to me. And a few people have, Rob. So there's some large events coming up after February in California.

Rob (11:05.176)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (11:10.203)
There's one in March 8th and 9th, so far with 35 attendees. It's making good progress towards their goal as well for going mega. ACT in Australia, Rob, reached out to me. Yes, this is a possibility to be the first Munzee mega in the Southern hemisphere ever. That's in ACT Australia on March 30th. And that's actually coinciding, that's coexisting, Rob. Because there's a mega on the same day of geocaching mega. So it's not.

Rob (11:17.111)
Yeah.

Rob (11:21.258)
Yeah.

Rob (11:28.599)
Yeah.

Rob (11:34.409)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (11:39.716)
Not hard.

Rob (11:40.991)
They've got a really good chance if they can present this game in a co-exist manner to some people who might be like-minded. Just need to be a bit open-minded, I would say is what needs to happen. Maybe they can get that event nice and big. That'd be great.

Seemyshell (11:43.68)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Seemyshell (11:56.027)
Yes. That's exactly right.

Yeah, that would be awesome. And then of course, Minneapolis on May 10th and 12th and Rob, I'll be there for that one, will you?

Rob (12:10.762)
Did you say will I Man I don't know I'm not even sure about California March 8 through 9th yet. Yeah, I know

Seemyshell (12:12.395)
Yeah, will you? You don't know yet? I know I will, mate.

Seemyshell (12:19.279)
Oh, wow. Wow. I'm looking I'm looking ahead. I'm hoping to be I haven't got things sorted yet. But I'm hoping to be California March at nine. And I'm hoping to be Minneapolis, May 10 and 12. So it's on my calendar. Yes.

Rob (12:31.614)
I'm right there. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm hoping to make both of them just waiting for a couple of things to fall in place. So yeah, so like Craig said, if you are looking to have a big event, your numbers are growing, we happen to overlook you. Apologies, we do try and scan this, but we'd love to hear from you so that we can talk about you.

Seemyshell (12:42.574)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (12:53.841)
Okay.

Reach out, man, reach out. Look, just like that song, as Josh would say, reach out, everybody. Anyway, I'm not even gonna sing. For a singer, Rob, I'm a good dancer, but anyway. Yeah. Developments this week, what's happened this week? We just, we touched on it, Rob, at the beginning of the episode, sand dollars. We touched on it, but let's talk about it further. Sand dollars, I think, I think personally, I love this idea. I think it's a great idea. You've got sand dollars for everyone, and then you've got the

Rob (13:01.89)
Ha ha ha!

Rob (13:05.502)
Exactly.

Rob (13:12.918)
Yeah, we did. Yeah.

Seemyshell (13:24.711)
cake bits as well that we've learned about in the last couple of episodes, the cake pieces for events, event attendees. So Sand dollars are similar to cakes, but they're different.

Rob (13:33.822)
Yeah, so the Sand Dollars are what we like to call a limited time credit. So LTC for an abbreviation, just because it makes it makes it easier for us to kind of shorten terms. So there is a nice long blog written up about the Sand Dollar credits. You collect them, you go to the redeem store, and then you're able to redeem those for lots of great.

Seemyshell (13:39.227)
Oh.

Seemyshell (13:50.203)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (13:55.248)
There is.

Rob (14:03.162)
items. Premium members, imagine this, premium members have options beyond those who are just our normal players. So I think what might make sense, Craig, is if I just read these things off the blog, because that is our job to read the blog to the players who don't like to read for themselves. All right. Exactly. So if you've been wondering how can I get these Sand Dollar credits?

Seemyshell (14:10.277)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (14:15.911)
Mm-hmm. Okay. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, Josh, with a GCV. Yeah, that's right. LAUGHS

Rob (14:31.562)
Here's how you've got a chance. You have a chance, and it's only a chance with all of these, it's not a 100% guarantee. So by capturing the sand sculpting specials, which we'll talk about in just a second, you have a chance with greenies, with aquamarines or water mysteries. You've got a chance with event pins, but it does not include the pink event indicator pin.

Seemyshell (14:36.122)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (14:43.812)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (14:56.598)
You've got a chance with select January greeting cards, which include the new Wild Weather cards and the MunsPack January 2024 card and the Motivational Messages cards. The beach places, which you mentioned earlier, and then there are also all of the myths have a chance of giving you Sand Dollar credits and two Sand Dollar credits are possible with some of the water or ocean themed.

Seemyshell (15:11.598)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (15:25.426)
myths which include like Poseidon, Hydrus, all of the mermaids. And Craig, there's one more spot that you can get these and that is through crates. You can earn three, four or five, depending on which type of crate. Is it guaranteed? No, it's not. I will tell you that those have to be new crates. So if you're carrying crates from the past, before right before we launched this, there will not be

Seemyshell (15:38.338)
I don't know.

Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (15:48.555)
Uh oh, that won't be.

Yeah.

Rob (15:53.846)
Sand dollar credits because those were already packed your crate was already packed You need a new crate One more thing about it though They're actually the owners of a few different types of Munzees have a chance as a cap on reward. Yeah, so for those who don't read the owners of like aquamarine or water mystery, you've got a chance of receiving credits from that and then also the

Seemyshell (15:57.512)
That's right. Yeah. Makes sense. That's right.

Seemyshell (16:07.783)
Oh, yeah, yeah.

Seemyshell (16:16.6)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (16:22.322)
You have a chance of receiving a cap on reward from the cards. So get those special cards deployed. That's a suggestion for you.

Seemyshell (16:27.)
my couch as well.

Seemyshell (16:32.663)
Well, I love this, Rob, because in my travels in this last week as well, I took a ferry with my car as well, actual vehicle ferry. It was one of my first times I've done it. Even from Australia as well, we don't really have them. But across from New Jersey into Delaware, right? Along that straight, there was like, I'm talking, seven or eight virtual submarines, which I thought were really cool. Kept a few of those there on the list.

Rob (16:45.451)
Yeah.

Rob (16:48.846)
Okay.

Rob (16:56.122)
Oh yeah, that is an entertaining place to put them, right? Yeah, that's good.

Seemyshell (17:01.763)
Exactly, exactly. But my favorite cap, my favorite cap was a floating, floating hotel, Rob, which I've now got a room in this floating hotel, which is pretty cool. So there you go.

Rob (17:12.702)
Well, there you go. That's very entertaining. I mean, you never know what people are going to do. And sometimes taking a ferry is the best way to get those caps. Cool.

Seemyshell (17:20.132)
I know.

Seemyshell (17:24.274)
Exactly. And I did get some sand dollars as well from the, uh, from the submarine. So anything water related, as you said.

Rob (17:30.442)
Okay, yeah, so submarine isn't even listed specifically on here, which means, oh, my goodness, are you kidding me? There are other types that might triggers sand dollar credits. You heard it here first, because, yeah, that is a secret or not a secret. But that is sort of one of those.

Seemyshell (17:34.326)
Oh.

Seemyshell (17:38.107)
Did I just... I let the cat out of the bag?

Oh, there we go! There we go!

Seemyshell (17:52.195)
anymore.

Rob (17:54.73)
One of those behind the scene things, we do have some additional pieces that we'll toss them out there. We just wanted to give everybody a good list to start from and then see what kind of chatter we might get on the water cooler.

Seemyshell (17:57.136)
Oh... Yeah.

Seemyshell (18:02.895)
That's fair enough.

Seemyshell (18:07.495)
Exactly. Well, you can hear it now. I'll let the cat out of the bag. I was trying to listen into when you said submarines, I'm thinking, did he say it? Did he say it? And I don't think maybe I overlooked it maybe because sometimes I'll be honest, Rob. Sometimes I do get confused about the names of different Munzee things and whatever. And I know submarines, they're an evolution. And I know that about it. And you didn't say the word evolution. I'm like, I didn't say that. But he

Rob (18:11.991)
Yes you did.

Rob (18:28.514)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (18:35.734)
Ha ha ha.

Seemyshell (18:37.007)
I'm thinking he said water related type products, which obviously a submarine is. So there you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There you go. Ha ha.

Rob (18:42.099)
Mm hmm. Yeah, you know, so there's always a little tricks. You know this, you go in, you check the redeem store all the time because you never know when I might feel like adding more stuff in. So, yep, same rules.

Seemyshell (18:47.637)
Of double game. Yes.

Hmm. Yeah, exactly. Right. Oh, quick question for you. Quick question for you regarding the redeems of the sand dollars. The actual types of things you can get is going to change that we've had over time as well, like over like a week or two, what is it roughly? Or you're not going to say you're just going to say, get in now.

Rob (19:04.478)
It is. Yeah.

Rob (19:10.746)
I don't know what we wrote. I know that we've discussed everything. I know that these, the Sand Dollars themselves can be redeemed up until March 15th. So we're talking about, you know, this was basically gonna be about an eight week campaign. So while this is going on, there are waves that we're sending in. So Sand Dollars, Beach.

Seemyshell (19:17.567)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Seemyshell (19:24.046)
I'll talk to you later.

Seemyshell (19:28.543)
Mm-hmm. Yep.

Seemyshell (19:38.343)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Look at you. Of course, Siri. Was that? I was going to say, surely that was Dylan. That's not like.

Rob (19:40.106)
Waves, right, so there's waves of prizes coming. I know, that was good, right? I gotta say, I came up with that, yeah. Nope, it was being called weak and then because we changed a few things, it was like, let's call them waves, yeah. So anyway, so yeah, the Redeem store will change and for those who are not familiar with how that happens with these limited time credits, we usually do remove wave one.

Seemyshell (19:55.211)
Yeah. Yes.

Seemyshell (20:05.168)
Hmm.

Rob (20:09.854)
as wave two comes in. So it will wash itself back out to see and it will take those prizes with it. Woo.

Seemyshell (20:11.6)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (20:14.851)
Oh, look at that. Exactly. So get in while you can basically as soon as you get sand dollars, have a look and see what you can and grab for them because yeah, don't let them go to waste. Don't let them wash out with a tide.

Rob (20:24.702)
No. The last thing you wanna do is be sitting there on March 15th with a lot of sand dollars in your hand and nothing to spend them on.

Seemyshell (20:34.119)
And exactly right. What are you going to do with virtual sand dollars? They're not even going to appear on your account anymore after the March 15th. You're not even going to see how many actually you missed out on. So yes, get in fast and get in and get what you can. Cause there is actually a limit as well. I did notice on a lot of the products, a lot of the items. So there's so many cards you can grab with some of these sand dollars and all that. And once that, once you've got your limit, then that goes off your screen anyway, I've noticed, which is pretty cool.

So yeah, I'm just going along and grabbing whatever I can every single once a week, you know, maybe twice. It depends on my dollars. So go from there.

Rob (21:02.146)
Yep.

Rob (21:07.614)
Yeah, spend them if you got them. So.

Seemyshell (21:11.979)
And speaking of sand, let's move on to the sand sculpture specials. Rob, more sand stuff.

Rob (21:18.378)
Man, there is sand everywhere. Sand in all the right places this time. So that's the good news. You know how sometimes you're like, how did the sand get in there? This time, this time it's good. So we've got some tools that are out there on the map and a couple of little sandboxes. There's a turtle sandbox, which is physical, and there's a crab sandbox, which is virtual.

Seemyshell (21:24.472)
Yeah. I was waiting for you.

Seemyshell (21:29.935)
Hahaha

Seemyshell (21:42.171)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (21:45.686)
These two are going to be bouncing around the map until Sunday, March 10th. And so watch the map for those. When you cap them, they scatter different types of tools. And so this is sort of a unique, a different approach to some of the bouncers that we've done in the past in the scatters. So with this one, as you cap more of them, more of the sandboxes, then you can

Seemyshell (21:45.871)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (21:59.141)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (22:06.861)
Yeah.

Rob (22:14.522)
the tools that it scatters are going to be leveled up. So you're gonna go from a shovel to a sand rake and then up to a sand trowel. So in order to build really nice sand sculptures, you have to have better tools than just a shovel and your fingers, you know? So, yeah, so. Yeah.

Seemyshell (22:17.957)
Oh.

Seemyshell (22:24.614)
Oh

Seemyshell (22:28.463)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (22:31.931)
Wow, wow, I like it. A lot of thoughts going into this one too. I like it. That's really cool. Yeah, yeah.

Rob (22:37.374)
A lot, a lot of thought has gone into this one, you are correct. This was a big little, a big little, a big project that was started back in December and we wrapped it up once we got into the new year and we've got some really, really great art for the badges, sand sculptors that Andy put together. So hopefully everyone can get out there, cap the sandboxes and then all of the tools that get scattered as well.

Seemyshell (22:54.693)
Mm.

Seemyshell (22:59.184)
Nice.

Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (23:05.347)
That's awesome. That's I will say I've only got one sand sculpture so far. It was a virtual as well. And I did drive out of my way a little bit because I saw it on the map. I went, Oh, I've got to get that one. So yes, this is what happens. Hmm. Oh, yeah.

Rob (23:16.302)
I actually have one as well, that's it. And as we're recording this on Wednesday, I capped it about three hours ago. So, yeah, yep.

Seemyshell (23:23.879)
There you go. See? There you go. So if you think you're missing out because you've only got a couple of these sand sculpture specials, don't be. Don't be discouraged by these sort of things. It happens. It happens to the best of us. Because there is only a limited amount that was placed out and about for the time being. And then you're going to increase them slowly over time or...

Rob (23:38.401)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (23:44.352)
I think we have 1,500 that bounced. I'm not 100% sure. Things can increase, things can decrease as well. The waves may wipe them out, I don't know.

Seemyshell (23:47.792)
Yeah.

Okay. Yeah. This is true. Exactly. You never know. So get in while you can make sure you if you again, it's a motto Rob or my motto. If you see it, cap it. That's it. If you if you see it, cap it. That's it. Don't hold back. Don't hold back. Unless there are cruisies or sleepsees and you need them for your clan for the next month and you've already you've got your enough for this month and no one else plays around you. That's a different story.

Rob (24:00.897)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (24:04.266)
Absolutely.

Rob (24:14.754)
But if you're road trippin', get everything you can.

Seemyshell (24:17.319)
Everything you can, everything you can. Mind you saying that I do have a friend of mine in my clan as well. And they've set out the fact that they're not going to cap the cruisies or sleepsees in the area until like, you know, the next month or whatever. What happened? A brand new player started and all the sleepsees went away. She was like, Oh no, they're all gone. They're a hundred points each.

Rob (24:33.904)
Oh.

Rob (24:37.45)
Oh, all those points because they're like 100 points each and so they left thousands of points on the map. Oh wow. How nice of them to share with new players.

Seemyshell (24:47.195)
Exactly. Yeah, yeah. She was very good though. She did reach out to the new player and say, look, you know, I'm glad to have a new player in the area. If you need any help, whatever, let me know. So that was really nice.

Rob (25:01.028)
But don't ever cap my stuff again, right? At least there was, oh, no, she was just nice?

Seemyshell (25:04.952)
But, but no, it's just, it's just nice because you think about it, Rob, brand new player. I remember back before I was a, uh, a cruisy specialist, whatever you want to call it. What, what do you call yourself when you get that, that little, a Z crew before I was a Z crew member, I remember, you know, just capping everything I can, not it never, it never came up on my screen. And then, and then I do remember where I was. I was in Australia when I became a Z crew member, Rob, and I

Rob (25:15.731)
uh, Z-Crew.

Rob (25:25.281)
Yeah.

Seemyshell (25:31.627)
I looked and one day everything come out, all these different colors and the purple virtuals and the orange, I'm like, what the, what is happening? And I went nuts. That one day I got like thousands of points because I just went nuts. Anyway, we've got to move on. We're 25 minutes into the episode already, Rob. And we haven't even got to the question or the tip of the week. Let's get to that, yeah? All right, question of the week. This one comes from George Cashman on the water cooler. And he says,

Rob (25:38.274)
Mmmhmm.

Yeah.

Rob (25:46.466)
Woo!

So close. Yeah.

Seemyshell (25:57.175)
I wasn't playing it last January so I was wondering when to expect the resellers to come out with their skinned glass guardians. Yeah, that is a good question.

Rob (26:04.542)
Ooh, it's a good question. The experts in the water cooler pretty much answered it for me. And they said, you know, that those usually come out February, March. I think that our first year, they actually were beyond that, maybe even June. So I will give the exact answer of between February and June.

Seemyshell (26:11.697)
Hehe

Seemyshell (26:16.848)
Mm-hmm.

Seemyshell (26:21.367)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Seemyshell (26:29.559)
That's nice. That rounds it right down to everyone. That's good. I wonder what they're going to be there because I mean, I think about the hedges last year, Rob, and I really enjoyed how the resellers had the hedge skins of what they were around. So you had obviously, you know, the space coast, you had the manatees in space coast, you had the kangaroos down in Australia, you know, so that was really cool. I can't even be able to split anyway. That's right. England. Yes. Yes, that's right.

Rob (26:53.282)
Dragon the dragon from England and the bear the bear from Munzee Madness because he's 1849 he was a big bear guy, California

Seemyshell (26:58.507)
Oh, that's right. That's it. There you go. Exactly. There you go. California bear. So it makes sense. It makes sense. I wonder what the glass guardian skins are going to be. I think you've got an idea, Rob. You say that as you laugh. You didn't even slow down your speech then Rob. Jeez.

Rob (27:10.766)
So, so do I, so do I. Ha ha ha.

Rob (27:19.282)
Not even a little bit. That tells you how close we are to launching them. I have no idea what they might look like. Honest.

Seemyshell (27:27.095)
Anyway, let's move on to the tip of the week. This one's from an anonymous tip, anonymous tipper. And they say deploy cards one week early at event location so they can expire within an hour of the event, of the start time of the event, then watch them expire and deploy again as they expire, as yours expire. We saw this happen live.

Rob (27:47.606)
we watched this happen and I actually was sitting there like, how are people deploying cards right here on top of us? And I was like, somebody's cheating. And unfortunately, that's where my brain jumps sometimes, first. And then we all started talking about it and it was like, no, cards are expiring while we're sitting there at the event and new cards were popping up instantly. So, very cool.

Seemyshell (27:53.744)
Heheheheheheh Yeah!

Hehehehehehehehehehe

Seemyshell (28:03.123)
Yeah. Yes.

Seemyshell (28:12.051)
Yeah. Instantly for it. So yeah. So these people are getting like double the amount of caps and they know, they know that all event attendees are going to be there at that time. You know, I mean, obviously some people walk out and around and to do the, uh, to do the pins and whatever as well, but predominantly you always come back for the cards, you know, but it was funny, Rob, uh, sitting there watching Josh.

Josh was laying down because he's from Minnesota. So I was getting cold and chilly up there. So here he is in Florida, laying down on this artificial turf near the glass house. It was really beautiful place. And he's just looking up the sky and he's doing something on his phone. I think he was capping. And I just said, I said, Can you see this cards from up there? Can you like, you know, because you just look at the sky doing it like, he's like, Oh, no, I'm so relaxed, you know, so it was good. And he's one that said to me, he goes, you know, there's more being published, like every almost every second I went What

Rob (28:52.646)
Yeah.

Ha ha.

Seemyshell (29:01.923)
And I had a look and yep, sure enough, there's another four, there's another five, there's another three, there's another two. I'm like, yeah, how has this happened? So that's a good tip of the week, Rob.

Rob (29:02.157)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (29:10.206)
It is anonymous, I would guess, because the people who already know this probably didn't want that shared, because you know, you've basically just split all of the event deploys. So be sure that you're doing it pretty close to the start time. I would recommend not deploying six hours after the event because you're not gonna get as many caps. Yeah, people move on. So there you go.

Seemyshell (29:16.967)
Exactly right. Yeah, exactly.

Seemyshell (29:27.013)
I mean.

Seemyshell (29:31.027)
No, gone. Exactly, exactly. And here's, I'm gonna expand a little bit on this tip and that is temporary virtuals. Remember, they're out for a whole month. So you can actually place them more than one week ahead of time. Cards are one week, temporary virtuals are 30 days. So you can place up to 30 days before the event. So I place them 29 days just to be on the safe side, Rob. So yeah, I just put 29 days. And then you get a spot normally too, which is really cool.

Rob (29:46.485)
30 days? Yeah, yeah.

Rob (29:54.198)
Yeah. Yep.

Rob (29:59.466)
Yeah, these things archive. Yeah. So they archive like down to the second from when you deploy just so everyone's clear.

Seemyshell (30:00.529)
Until everyone was seen.

Seemyshell (30:05.347)
Yes, yeah, down to the second. So right now, so that's how it works. All right, Rob, so this ends another official Bunzi podcast.

Rob (30:12.067)
Yep, that's true.

Seemyshell (30:33.051)
So keep scanning, keep discovering, and keep this Munzey spirit alive. Rob, one, two, three, Munzey on! Yeah, it must be the distance. It's so late for me. It must be the distance.

Rob (30:37.47)
Munzee on! I was there... I did it.
