Craig (00:00.886)
Welcome to the official Munzee podcast.
Rob (00:03.257)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.
Craig (00:07.07)
And I'm Craig also known as Seemyshell. I started as an avid Munzee player, now proudly part of the team.
Rob (00:12.069)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.
Craig (00:19.032)
So sit back, relax today's episode. We're going to chat. Will you get buzzed by an electric eel? Will, will it make you change your skin randomly or will you be, be on the Nexus? Then, then will you be the next? I didn't even write that properly, Rob. I don't know. This is, I tried to be funny. It didn't even work. Will you be on the Nexus? Will you be the Nexus? I don't know. I don't know. Anyway, Rob, more importantly, happy 100 buddy.
Rob (00:31.497)
What? Next us? Whatever.
Rob (00:46.801)
Yeah. What? I barely feel 50. can't imagine. 100th episode. This is amazing.
Craig (00:48.748)
Happy 100, buddy.
Craig (00:55.298)
Yeah. 100th episode. Very, very cool. People are going to say, what are you going to do that's very special for you? 100 episode Rob. And it's probably the same as we always do. Just inform players from around the world what's happening.
Rob (01:09.917)
Hey, it's what we are good at. It's what we've well, well, whether we're good or not, it's what we're known for, I suppose. Having chats and filling people in about what's going on with the game. So, yeah, it's been fun. It's been a nice 100. I'd like to say thanks. I've said it in small groups, but for everyone around the world to hear thanks to you, because the whole team was basically stacked against me.
Craig (01:13.534)
Mm-hmm. That's it. Exactly.
Craig (01:23.092)
Mm-hmm. Yep.
Rob (01:39.421)
in the fact that there's not a chance that Rob can be tied down weekly for 30 minutes to talk about Munzee. Not going to happen. You came in, you organized it. You've kept me to that 30 ish minutes and and you've made me do it weekly. It's been fun.
Craig (01:45.246)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:53.101)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:56.844)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:00.611)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (02:00.789)
And maybe some of the players have thought it was fun too, but we've kind of grown an audience. so anyway, thanks to you for making this happen, because truly I couldn't have done it and nobody else on the team could have wrangled me into this either.
Craig (02:11.694)
And if you haven't heard the bit of the backstory from it as well, if other people listen to podcasts, then treasures of our town podcast with Josh, the geocaching blogger as well. Him and I do that podcast is travel podcast. That's guided by a love of location based games. And, that, that podcast was birthed in a hot tub in Florida. And at the same, that same hot tub, that same night that that podcast was birthed.
Rob (02:34.781)
See
Craig (02:39.21)
Rob, you were there, you were in the hot tub as well. And, and I was then discussing with you about how Munzee needs a podcast. So we could almost say that it was a, it twins were given birth in that hot tub podcast twins.
Rob (02:41.947)
I was.
Rob (02:47.121)
Yes.
Rob (02:53.223)
So, so, so bizarre. And yet, yes, it was January, was Florida. And, you know, you two were talking about this idea and and I was sitting there, I'd met you, you know, basically then that weekend, possibly a bit before, but but never having an actual conversation. And I was just sitting there like, OK, I'm super jealous.
Craig (02:59.849)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:03.757)
Yeah.
Craig (03:08.738)
Yeah.
Craig (03:12.397)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (03:20.537)
I want to be part of this or that or something. And I literally said, like, I don't know how, but we're going to work together on some sort of a project. And yeah, was very thankful once you guys got treasures of our town up and running, and then here you came going, okay, let's let's do this. Let's do a Muncie podcast.
Craig (03:22.004)
Yeah.
Craig (03:28.866)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:34.775)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:39.213)
Yeah. Yeah, we needed it. And I'll be honest with Rob as well. think a lot of people out there really enjoy the Munzee podcast. Every Friday they listen to it straight away. either on their cars and in the way home from work or to work or, know, that sort of thing as well. it has been every single week and in four weeks time, it'll be two years straight. So that's the hundred, hundred and four episodes is two years straight,
Rob (03:59.992)
Wow. I mean.
Rob (04:04.635)
Wow, it's just scratching my head. Unbelievable to have done this for two years. So wow. Wow.
Craig (04:09.716)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, I know. But, but more importantly, Rob, I'd love to thank all the players out there as well, because if they didn't listen, if they didn't give feedback, if they weren't, then we wouldn't be doing this. You know, we'd be falling on deaf ears. So I do appreciate every single listener out there. And that, yes, that includes you. You're driving your car, you're sitting on your couch, you're working, whatever you're doing, that includes you. yeah, we thank you.
Rob (04:22.971)
That's true.
Rob (04:31.921)
Yeah, you're like, you mean me? And the answer is yes, you.
Craig (04:36.16)
Yeah, exactly. So yeah, thank you for listening. thank you for giving us the feedback. Thank you for giving us the questions. Thank you for giving us, you know, the, sometimes the tips of the weeks, Rob, you know, they all, get, I get messages every single week asking different questions and some of those questions make it into the podcast. Others I can just answer, you know, nonchalantly a lot quicker than, than normal too. So happy to do it too. So now, cause as I said, proudly part of the team. So it would have.
Rob (05:02.833)
That's right!
Craig (05:03.95)
Who would have thought it Rob? Who would have thought it? So meanwhile, Rob, currently at the moment I'm speaking of other players. I wake up, I'll tell you every week, I wake up every single day to cards that are around me and around my van because there's, there's happily Munzee stalkers out there and your stalkers sounds bad, but that's not when it comes to Munzee play. Um, and I'm currently, I went all the way across South Dakota last week. Um, I found some beautiful Rob, I'm talking glorious.
free spots where I can park the van. Some of the spots, I could park it on the rim of the Badlands. The rim of the Badlands, for free. Up to 14 nights you can stay there for two. So, yep, yep, yep. I've been there. went all the way across. Went to the Corn Palace as well. You've heard of the Corn Palace, in South Dakota? Traces of Our Town, yeah, that's the one.
Rob (05:55.089)
I have, think from, from treasures of our town. Yeah.
Craig (06:00.878)
So I went to the corn palace as well, walked in the corn palace, saw what it's all about and stuff as well. So that's really cool. Plenty of Munsies around there too. And the corn palace is a POI. So I love that sort of stuff too. So I love how players, especially with POIs, it signifies exactly where different things are. And that's what the POIs I think are meant to be too. So yeah, so that's what I'm going to do. I'm currently now just in Minnesota, but heading back to South Dakota today, Rob.
just travel back and north because I want to get the cash across America, South Dakota today. So, so yeah, that's, that's what I'll be doing. And then I'll head back into Minnesota for next, next week. Robert, we'll talk about that very soon. What are you being up to, mate?
Rob (06:36.957)
Well, alright.
Rob (06:45.799)
Well, I'm back home and the skies are gray and there's drops of water coming from them and it's low 60s, which is very different from Texas. Very, very different. So kind of readjusting back into my own normal habitat, which is good, but I'm not staying here long, which is so, so wild because well, you and I.
Craig (06:48.054)
you
Ugh.
Craig (07:01.23)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (07:08.142)
Fair enough.
huh.
Rob (07:15.453)
We're going to meet up in Minnesota for Munzee Mania. And I get to cap some of those cards that everyone drops for you so nicely every day.
Craig (07:19.768)
We are.
Oh, I didn't even realize either, Rob, just to let everyone know because, it was a couple of months ago now where I was, I was running after you, Rob. I was trying to catch you in the little staff leaderboard. I am now over 10 million ahead of you, Rob, just saying. there be a revenge of the Rob? don't know. We'll soon see. We'll soon see.
Rob (07:41.021)
I try not to look at that.
easiest for me if I don't.
Craig (07:52.723)
One day, but I doubt it. when I quit maybe. the events last weekend, Rob in USA, we only had the one in, Kansas and then around the world, had Hungary, Victoria, Australia. So just the three events in the world over last weekend, because as always, your will is no, it's the end of the clan wars. But, but Rob, I did say, see as well on there's a couple of people out there and the, I won't mention any names, but some people just finish. Finish.
Rob (07:56.251)
Yeah, right, exactly.
Craig (08:20.334)
playing when clan wars is done. No, don't finish playing. You play every single day. And, and I think I said to a one player as well, who reached out to me a couple of weeks ago now asking about the skins. And they said, like, you know, and they said, how do get the skins? I go, they, they stopped playing after they finished your clan wars for that rest of the month. go, no, keep playing because you need the monthly streak to get your skins. And then that will be a, a little question of the week this week. Anyway.
Rob (08:32.928)
yeah.
Craig (08:47.47)
Leaderboards, Rob, over the weekend we had good old, I shouldn't say good old, lovely, lovely lady, Colecracker7, 224,000 points in second place as always, MunzeeProf with 195,000 points, and in third, NZKiwi, 194,000 points. On Saturday, Rob.
Rob (09:06.205)
get get used to these names. we go Saturday, Cole, cracker seven 237,000 points in Z Kiwi 209,000 and Brasilia 205,000.
Craig (09:18.35)
On Sunday, she rounded out the trifecta and that is Colecracker7 again on 251,000 points, three days in a row, the entire weekend she owned. Well done, Linda, very well done. In second place, oh, again, Munzee Prof with 196,000 points. And in third place, Jerristol Cass, 190,000 points. Rob, before we move on, I've got to say this. Colecracker7, Friday, 2.24, Saturday.
237, Sunday 251, they are very close together. Munsey Prof on Friday 195, on Sunday 196, very close together. Do you think Rob that most of their points, because they're big players, comes from cap on points and deploys?
Rob (10:02.301)
would say a very high percentage of them do. Yeah, other than them getting bouncers, you know, so they're they're gonna, they're gonna balance it out with their bouncer runs. And if you look at Saturday's points, third place was 205,000 on on Friday and Sunday, Munzee Prof was 195,000 and 196,000. So if he was still in that 195, that explains why he didn't make it into second, third, you know, fourth. Yeah.
Craig (10:06.912)
They would... Yes, yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (10:16.844)
Yes.
Craig (10:26.412)
why he's Exactly, he'd been on fourth on Saturday. But that's a good point out there, what you just said, and these players, big players, they've actually set up their little bouncer runs, as you like to call them too, where they've got tree houses and sky lands that they can bounce. They can cap not every single day, they can cap it every single day, or sometimes twice a day if they're premium.
And they do a, like a loop run as they go around to their shops. And they might go get their morning coffee and do the loop run and get all the bounces. And then in the afternoon, that's what I need. You know, I need some pasta for dinner. So they do the loop run again and get all their bounces again for the second, second time in a row. So that's what that happens. So you, if you're a new player and you go, how can I do this? You can definitely set up your own little loop runs from there. So that's exactly what they do.
Rob (11:15.825)
Yep. You just got to build it.
Craig (11:17.258)
It's, it's not rocket science. He's got to build it. If you build it, they will bounce. Rob, Rob, Rob, and the events this weekend, though, this weekend, we in USA, we have Arizona, California, Ohio, and New Jersey. saw as well, which is cool. Let's see. And around the world, mate, we have.
Rob (11:23.215)
Nice.
Rob (11:37.181)
In the UK we have three in Germany and one in Finland.
Craig (11:41.107)
in Germany, look at that. But more, not more important, I should say that because, you know, just big events coming up. I slip of the tongue all the time. Big events coming up though, Rob, on September 12th to 14th. This one here is Munzey Mania in Minnesota. I cannot, again, I cannot emphasize enough. Seven events, three days. If you're coming to Munzey Mania, bring your bombs, bring your blasts.
Bring your ma- whatever you want to bring, bring it all because you're gonna need it. Brings the caffeine too to stay awake to try and get them all as well. boosters, yeah. All the stuff. That's right.
Rob (12:16.593)
Boosters boosters caffeine. Yeah Saturday gonna be a long day for events like we're gonna be there if we're gonna have some fun and Yeah, everybody buckle up
Craig (12:26.326)
Mm-hmm.
Yep, yep. If you can't be there and you want to be part of the fun too, don't forget you obviously placing cards and other things around the area. I would suggest Rob placing blastable items. So in other words, cards are blastable, tempverts are blastable, those sort of things, even flats are blastable. And have a look at where all seven events are. You don't need to put a card on every single event location because it's going to be hard to get in a spot. So what you can do is have a look and you
Do the in-between. People are gonna be there for the entire weekend and they don't stay near the event locations. They stay in Airbnbs, they stay in hotels, they drive around, they go around near other, what do call it, Munsey Gardens as well, so things like that too. So look out for those areas and you might be able to place quite a few different cards and stuff along main thoroughfares.
Rob (13:19.547)
Yeah, the the events on Saturday, I was looking at locations there in Hastings, which is kind of southeast of the Twin Cities. And it's actually about a half hour drive from where I'm used to being for the events. So this is like an entire new area. I was looking at one of the locations. There were maybe 30 virtual types. Now, this is last week, so I'm sure that it's different now. But but yeah.
Craig (13:22.734)
Mm-mm.
Craig (13:28.834)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:32.75)
Perfect.
Craig (13:37.379)
Yeah.
Craig (13:42.03)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (13:46.802)
Blastable it will get you more points. That's for sure. And if you have things that scatters will land on just the regular virtuals, then again, you'll get a lot more cap ones from that from, you know, all the scatters. So be wise.
Craig (13:49.942)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (14:01.446)
Exactly. Very good point. Yeah. But yeah, play wisely and play smart too, Rob. This game is more about techniques and tactics than it is about just going around and scanning a QR card on a pole. There's a lot more involved in this game. So anyway, Rob, moving on to December 7th in Newmarket, England. That one's growing as well. Make sure you have a look at that. And if you can make it, put in your Will-O-Tens.
Rob (14:17.859)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (14:28.422)
January 16, 18 Munzey Mecca in Florida and March six and seven Munzey madness again in Southern California. More about those, in, coming episodes, Rob, as we get closer and closer and closer. And as the, the, the organizers reach out to me and give me some more information, hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. That's all right, Rob. All right. Moving on to the developments this week. Not much is.
Rob (14:48.573)
Good one.
Craig (14:57.218)
big is happening this week, which is a good thing because you know, everyone's getting into the clan wars now. There's questions about the clan wars coming up as well. So things like that too. not much big is happening. However, we got to refer to last week, last week's episode, Rob, we talked about these Nexus versus Omni, which is the two words that they gave for these new personals. Well, Nexus won the race over Omni on the poll on YouTube. Thank you everyone who voted for that as well. I thought that was a great idea too. So it really enjoyed that. It was.
Good to see them, were neck and neck for a little while, Rob. So, but there's a question, Rob, that come back. First and foremost, what is gonna be these Nexus personal munchies? Just re-interact where they are again.
Rob (15:28.743)
Yeah.
Rob (15:37.734)
Okay, so the Nexus personal is going to be sort of a next level above the premium personal. So the premium personal linked all of your regular personals. This Nexus personal is going to be something that a premium player can capture that and it will capture all of your premium personals and it will capture all of your personals.
Craig (16:01.592)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (16:04.241)
So you're going to get a lot more cap on points from everything that's happening with this one. It is. Yeah, it's it's going to be something that is premium only. And if a non premium player captures it, then, you know, they just get the points. It does not go through and capture everything. So the easiest explanation to wrap all of that up too long didn't listen is it's a personal.
Craig (16:10.638)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:16.45)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (16:33.615)
last. So it's going to get all of the blasts. Now, you know, if let's say I've kept five of yours, and you got 10 since the last time I've seen you, I can capture that Nexus personal again, and it will go ahead and capture all 10 of your newer ones. So yeah, this is all, all exciting stuff. And it's a product that we're working on now that we have the name, we're going to finalize all those details. And you'll learn more about it very, very soon.
Craig (16:34.925)
Yeah.
Craig (16:50.402)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:53.805)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (17:03.377)
I will say though, Rob as well, not leaving it out. If you're a non premium member, there's nothing stopping you from sitting there and actually capping every single personal individual still. You can do that. Absolutely. You can do that. This is just a premium feature to make life easier for premium members. Just like how you can hide all your capped Munsies, virtual cap Munsies, you know, that sort of thing too. So that's just a premium feature. So that's all it is. It will not stop you though from capping the, the personals, but one.
Rob (17:12.202)
yeah.
Craig (17:32.038)
at a time. And if you're looking at doing that one at a time and you've got Munzee Prof there, then it's going to take you a while to say that because he's got, he's got hundreds of them. Munzee, exactly. Frank, listen up very carefully, mate. I think the first one is going to come to you for this new Nexus personal. I'll just say that I'm going to chuck Rob under the bus straight away and say the first one's going to get to.
Rob (17:38.715)
will.
Rob (17:42.041)
Yep. Or the personal books that I carry. Yeah. It takes a while.
Rob (17:54.042)
If he's in Minnesota, I might put it in his hand personally. depends on if I can. I'm trying. I'm really trying, Frank. I'm trying.
Craig (17:58.127)
if you can, you're trying to get a maid, you're trying to get them. They are a physical, they are a physical item. They are a physical QR code. They are on like a middle tag of some sort. haven't worked, you haven't worked it out yet. Exactly. But there was a question came through on Facebook, Rob, in regards to this as well. And that is, the premium star Munsies come back? Because the premiums allowed you to, to cap the premium. Again, people don't know if you cap this premium Munsy that linked all your personal to that premium Munsy.
then you can cap it because you need to cap it when you go to events to place all the the personals at that event. That's what that's what the premium style was for.
Rob (18:36.881)
Wrong word, not cap deploy. So the owner, yes, the owner of the premium personal had to deploy that one every time the same way that you do for every personal, the premium personal when it's deployed, it brings all of the attached personals with it. Yeah, so that's it.
Craig (18:39.662)
Sorry, deploy.
Craig (18:47.478)
Yes. Yeah.
All of them together. Yeah. Yeah. And so the question, the question was from Facebook, will these premium stars come back or will the Nexus take over the role or the job of the premium?
Rob (19:08.731)
I don't know. That's that is one of the final pieces that's left that is remaining. I can tell you one thing. The premium star will not come back. The only way that it will be a star is if we print we print a star on a rectangular shaped tag. That's the only way that that's going to happen. The premium the star shape blank was gone.
Craig (19:10.008)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (19:19.874)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (19:28.398)
Hahaha.
Rob (19:35.581)
many, many years ago. So we can't get it. I found one that's four inches wide, which is far too wide for a personal, would hand size basically. And that's like, no, thank you. Don't need to have that. So, so
Craig (19:36.002)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (19:47.47)
Wow. I'm looking in the metric four inches. going, what's four inches in metric?
Rob (19:52.678)
Yeah, I don't know a lot enough enough that it's wider than you want for for hanging with a bunch of other personals. So, yeah, no good there. Yeah, so we'll see if we put the premium personals back if we are going to carry on with those, then yes, those would come back in the store and the Nexus personal would as well. If you've never had a premium personal, then yeah, you would probably need one of those.
Craig (20:01.133)
Mm-hmm.
No, that's fine.
Craig (20:15.138)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Rob (20:22.601)
and the Nexus in order to attach everything to the premium, then update that and then the Nexus being that one thing that you cap one and it gets all.
Craig (20:24.287)
Right, yeah.
Craig (20:33.078)
It gets all of them from there. Yep, that makes sense. That makes sense. And just again, a bit further as well, someone like Frank, for instance, who has hundreds of these, they do weigh a fair bit. They weigh a ton, these things. So this way, Frank, yourself, you can actually grab your Nexus only, and you can then fly to California for the events, for instance, you know, that sort of thing too, and not have all that weight in your luggage. No? No?
Rob (20:58.237)
Not if not if he wants to skip over all the non premium players, you know, he's still got to have them for the non premium players, right? Yeah. Sorry.
Craig (21:07.15)
of course, of course. there you go. Well, it's up to you then, Frank. You do, you play the way you want to play it. If you want to, if you want to skip over all the non premiums. I didn't say Frank Rob did, but anyway, Rob moving on, moving on mate to these new, these brand new electric eels. These things look, they look very similar to what the,
Rob (21:15.421)
If he likes, if he likes second place, then hey, leave them at home. It's all good.
Craig (21:34.146)
The glow worms were about a year ago or so we put out some glow worm things, but tell us about this new electric eels.
Rob (21:41.362)
Yeah, so these are player built gardens that we're going to be using Cuppa Z for. So Cuppa Z gardens. You'll find a template that's in there that's called the electric eel. And the only way that you can build these things that qualify for what we're talking about is by using that template. The blog is very detailed with pictures and step by step information. Thank you, Tamara, for putting that together. Everyone needs to actually go and read that.
Craig (21:58.093)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (22:06.337)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (22:08.941)
look at those pictures and build it. If you can't understand how to do it, there is a very handy contact and he's talking to me right now. So contact him. He can try and help you. I have a feeling a video might be made. There's usually videos that come from various players on these types of things. It's pretty technical, but everyone can do it. It will be possible. So these are it's eight virtuals.
Craig (22:16.974)
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Craig (22:24.536)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (22:31.266)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (22:36.795)
like regular colored virtuals that you can change the color so you can change what color your eel is. And then there's two electrics. So the electrics are on both ends. So this is an electric eel and you as a player, can build one and put it, you know, where it's helpful for you. Everyone has an opportunity to deploy in these. So there's going to be a special section on the cup of the gardens page where you can find them.
Craig (22:57.443)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (23:05.917)
You get a badge for deploying one and you will get a badge for deploying 10. So we will need plenty of gardens, but don't worry because MHQ is going to be creating some of these in various locations all around the world. So everyone's got a chance. We did this in a very uncomfortable for way uncomfortable for me way last year where we transferred the ownership to Munzee and then I had to go and confirm them all. my gosh. So Sam has hooked us up with a much better way to do it this year.
Craig (23:16.749)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (23:26.716)
that's
Craig (23:32.815)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (23:35.301)
This is something that gives you a chance to build an electric trap. C.Machelle, tell them more about this electric trap.
Craig (23:40.439)
Yes. Before I go onto the electric trap, Rob, you said that limit of one per player, that that's a limit of one per player that you can actually build. However, when you said the badges, you said if you deploy 10, then you get a badge. What you're meaning is deploy in other people's electric eels. Yes.
Rob (23:50.908)
Yes.
Rob (24:00.22)
Yes, but you will have to deploy 10 total or deploy one total for a badge. The badges will be delivered at the end of September once all the gardens are completed. So if you go in and there aren't any, just hold tight. I'll be putting more out. Craig's going to be putting more out. We're going to be building more. And we're all going to be builders of electric eels.
Craig (24:08.162)
Yes.
Yep. Yes. Yep.
Craig (24:21.578)
Yep. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. As I said before, limit of one to actually build yourself, but deploy in as many as you like. So, and go from there. So all over the world. Absolutely. Absolutely. Now we get onto the electric traps. The reason why these are actually so good.
Rob (24:34.845)
All over the world, why not?
Craig (24:41.718)
I've spoke about this a while ago and a good friend of the podcast as well, Vado Tech, he was very adamant in regards to his electric traps that he likes to call them. And what they are is this, is the electrics that are used themselves. They do three different scatters. Those scatters land upon other virtuals around it. So hence the reason why these electrics are like one to the tip and one to the tail. So the three...
electric scatters will land on the virtuals nearby those electric scatters. The best part about the electric traps is this. Yes, you can only cap the electric once. As always, like any other, a lot of other munchies, you only cap it once and then the electric, you know, get the three scatters, that's it. But, but if a bouncer lands on an electric and you cap the bouncer, you're capping the electric underneath, which then triggers the scatter of that electric again. So what that means is,
You can either A, just wait to randomly see a bouncer come on it or B, if you wish, if you're sitting there and you think, you know what, I need some extra points for today or whatever else as well. You can put a magnet, Rob, put a magnet on the electric, but there's a trick to this. You put the magnet on the electric. You, got a hold off. You cap just the one bouncer first, and then you cap the scatters. The next bouncer will probably be on there. Don't cap it until you've kept the scatters of the first one.
then cap the second bouncer and those scatters, et cetera, et cetera, for the four that you're gonna get as the magnet takes place. and I'll be honest, Rob, these scatters, they're actually decent points, mate, too. They're quite decent points. So I like them, I like them. So there you go. That's the electric eels. You wanna know more information about the electric eels, as Rob said as well, go to the blog, have a look. It's extremely detailed, Tamarie did really good job for it, too, so.
Rob (26:16.539)
Yes they are.
Craig (26:31.638)
I'll be honest Rob, I could even say, almost say that a five year old could follow these instructions. It is.
Rob (26:37.639)
mean, it's a very good walkthrough. The last piece about this is that we do also have a virtual pack that's available in the store. The you get eight virtuals at a very discounted price plus the two electric mysteries. So if you don't have the supplies so that you can get those two badges, we've got it discounted in the store. So check it out.
Craig (26:46.396)
yes, that's right.
Craig (26:51.117)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (26:59.022)
Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Rob, look at the time already. It's getting away from us. we're moving on now to the, this one came up. I'm talking about now this one came up, I'm going to say six months ago or so. And that is the skin randomizer. How can you randomize skins? I mean, you know, I, I want to, I don't want to change out my skin. What are we talking about?
Rob (27:23.473)
Well, you know, it's not your own personal skin, but these are the skins on different bouncers and, you know, all types of bouncers. So we've got some skins on like the very original, what we call the legacy unicorn. people have earned these skins or purchased them and done different things throughout the years to get them. this has been one of those requests that's come up from time to time. Like I would love for there to be a way that.
Craig (27:31.053)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (27:39.32)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (27:47.17)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (27:52.22)
when my legacy unicorn is capped, then it just randomly chooses one of my other skins just so that there's different skins on the map all the time for everyone. Yeah. The same thing would be true for like, you know, the garden gnome from a couple of years ago that was the streak bouncer. You know, if you complete the streak every month, then here's a different skin. Well, if you've got 12 skins,
Craig (27:59.855)
around the world. Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (28:06.583)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (28:15.181)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (28:16.637)
or 13 of them, then what happens is you have to actually go in and manually do that. Well, not anymore. Now we've got the scan randomizer. So what is the skin randomizer? Well, it randomizes your skins so you can turn it on, you can turn it off, you can do it in the app, you can do it on the website. It randomly chooses after a after a bouncer is capped, it randomly chooses what the next is going to be. So please use it. It looks cool.
Craig (28:30.499)
Yeah.
Craig (28:40.792)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (28:45.966)
And it really does. And I will say, please use it for everyone's sake. And what I mean by everyone's sake is Rob, if you have a look at Cup of Z, you can actually see which skins you haven't capped before. So there's some people out there that are really hunting down that gnome, the one with the soccer gnome or the football gnome, whichever country you're in, you know, those sort of things. They're hunting down that particular gnome and that's the only gnome they haven't capped yet. And because it's been, main reason is because people just don't change their skins out.
of these, once they have a gnome, they just leave it be, whatever else. This way, go into all your skin bounces and click that button to make sure they all get randomized. Therefore, it throws out all a lot more different variety in the world of Munzee too. So I think that's really, really cool. So we'll do that too. So that's the skin randomizer. That's what that was going to be. And that's coming out very, very soon. Meanwhile, Rob, you got here shipping update. What the ship are we talking about?
Rob (29:30.609)
Yep.
Rob (29:42.768)
Yeah. Well, you know, sometimes shipping happens from different places. And we've been working with shipping over in England now, you know, for the last nine, 10, 10 months, which is a really long time. The UK has bumped shipping prices up a couple of times during that. And so anyway, I've been looking for a chance to
Craig (29:43.822)
You
Craig (29:49.847)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (29:59.576)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:06.926)
yeah. Yeah.
Rob (30:13.051)
move that elsewhere, get some different types of production of things like, I don't know, Nexus, personal things of that nature, going and well, we've got a volunteer, I'll be talking to that guy next week. And yeah, so live and in person, I'll be talking to him and it's not you. So they are there in Minnesota.
Craig (30:15.843)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:19.459)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:23.309)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:30.03)
Wow
Craig (30:34.894)
So they're in America, aren't they? So what you're saying, Rob, is very, very soon that we'll be able to get America, USA, we'll be able to get USA packages or products shipped, such as generic stickers, those sort of things as well, or?
Rob (30:51.771)
Yeah, so that stuff has been shipped from England this whole time, unless I was headed back over to the US. And then obviously, we'd ship from there. Yeah, so we're going to be basing everything out of the US once again.
Craig (30:54.626)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:59.254)
Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (31:03.512)
So you to.
Craig (31:07.287)
Everything everything or are you still gonna be shipping to the UK and from England? Yeah And not not not Europe at all Europe nope. okay, sir to to
Rob (31:10.845)
Only to the UK from here. Yeah, so. Nope, don't think so prices. Everything, everything's crazy. It's all still very much up in the air, which is why I'm not giving every single detail at this exact moment, even though you're asking me 42 detailed questions about a boy in Minnesota. You're asking me all those questions. That's that's the info that I have.
Craig (31:24.482)
Yeah. Too much away. Fair enough. Fair enough. I'm squeezing. I'm squeezing.
Craig (31:37.455)
All right, Rob. All right. You're not going to tell me that's fine. Let's, let's move on to the Munzee question of the week. And this one is in regards to the September clan wars. And again, Rob, I woke up this morning. The question was again asked on the water cooler. And that is what are streak bouncer scatter points and why are they different to scatter points in the clan wars?
Rob (31:39.515)
Ha ha ha ha ha
Rob (32:00.466)
You know what the problem is here? The problem is that we've given too many fish over the years in terms of plan requirements. We've given way too many fish. So I'm going to quickly teach everyone to fish because it's actually very easy. All right. When you go to the rewards and you click, this is in the Munzee app. It's also available in the cup of the app. I'm going to give you the instructions from the Munzee app because that's official. OK.
Craig (32:02.732)
Hmm?
Craig (32:13.026)
I don't know what you're talking about.
Craig (32:26.7)
Yeah. Yeah.
Rob (32:27.547)
When you look at the rewards and you go in and you're looking at the challenges, okay. I'm choosing level three because level three is where we have 500 streak bouncer scatter points. All right. So that's written down at the bottom and I'm scrolling all the way down. Now there's a castle. There's how many points we have. And then there's the face of the person who is leading, right? If you click on the castle, what happens is it pops up and it says challenge.
Craig (32:31.981)
Yeah.
Craig (32:40.365)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (32:50.593)
Yes, yeah.
Rob (32:56.239)
Earn points from capture, deploy and cap on of all garden gnome, flamingo, hedge, glass guardian, mushroom scatters, aka streak bouncers. And that my friends is how to fish when it comes to clan requirements. Okay. Every single clan requirement has this information. His name is Sam. You're welcome. And thank you to Sam for getting this built literally years ago.
Craig (33:02.798)
Craig (33:11.895)
Wow.
Craig (33:17.804)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (33:24.807)
So everyone who ever asks a question about what it means, it's been built since time began. Not quite. But anyway, you hear that you hear that piece in my voice of like, we've talked about so many of these things. It's time for it's time for everybody to just go click the button.
Craig (33:24.888)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Craig (33:34.831)
since time began. So just to re-enter it. Yes. That's okay. That's okay. For people to, it's quicker to click a button than it is to ask these questions as well. So just to re-enter rate, the app, you go in the app, the second one with the clan wars, the orange clan wars down the right hand bottom corner, you click on that. Whichever level you wanna look at, know, whatever it might be.
Rob (33:50.173)
so much quicker.
Craig (34:04.078)
Click on that level. Once you get into that level, individual challenges, the orange, there should be orange individual challenges, things like the fire and stars and ticks down the side. And then there's the group challenges. Those colors, those orange things and the blue things are clickable. You touch them and it show you exactly what you need to do to bring those up. That's how that works. So they are clickable. So touch, touch, touch away.
Rob (34:30.641)
Yep. For example, one baby moose teapot deploy. I don't even know what that means, says me, not anyone else. I click on the little shield. It says deploy one baby moose teapot through premium section of redeem store. Sam wrote those words like five days ago. So that's the newest one. This happens every single time. There's a new requirement. He puts it in the app.
Craig (34:34.2)
Touch away.
Craig (34:40.599)
Yeah.
Craig (34:49.88)
Told you.
Mm-hmm. Every.
Rob (35:00.091)
This has happened for several years. Thank you, Sam. And don't correct me if it's only been 15 months. It's been in there a while.
Craig (35:06.742)
He will, either way, he'll correct you. He corrects me on my grammar for goodness sake on the podcast. Meanwhile, Rob, that don't forget as well, you just reminded me, make sure you do redeem your moose as well. I just did it right then and there as we spoke. wow. Yeah. Wow. Very good, Rob. Very good. All right, mate. Moving on to the Munsie request of the week. And they are the request is this can be quite quick as well. Anything happening with the tourism Munsies, the black.
Rob (35:19.227)
I put it in three hours past the, yeah, because I remembered this morning.
Craig (35:36.478)
Munzee-owned tourism Munzees.
Rob (35:38.81)
Absolutely nothing. There has been a hold for five years. One player. Thank you, Linda, has put together a very large database of other tourism. And these we have a couple of countries in that list as well. People contact and ask questions about them. We've just put it on hold. It has a couple of pieces that we need to complete. We just haven't been able to get to the point of pushing the button to put new ones out there.
Craig (35:43.096)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (35:47.597)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (35:58.754)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (36:08.726)
Are you going to put new ones out or are you going to refresh the game board?
Rob (36:12.957)
There is no refresh the game board. I don't even know what that means. We're going to put new ones out there.
Craig (36:16.694)
Refreshing, but by refreshing the game board, mean sort of wipe all the tourism on these off and start them again.
Rob (36:24.311)
no, definitely not. We would never do that. That sounds completely crazy. Why don't we do that? You mean like cap them again?
Craig (36:29.536)
I would. would. Well, because not all the tourism Munsies are actual tourism Munsies as they were intended for now. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. All right, Rob, go on, mate. Hit them up with a Munsy tip of the week. This is yours. This is your baby. What are we doing for tip of the week?
Rob (36:38.917)
You and I will have to talk about what on earth that means off air. I have no clue what you're talking about.
Rob (36:52.401)
Hey everybody, build your electric eel garden somewhere local to you. That's that's the tip. All right, put it nearby because you know where would be a good spot. Don't go building it all around the world. We don't need you to do that. If there's a location that's accessible to many players in your area, why don't you choose that one? If there's a location where you know it's along the highway or something where people travel across that path often.
Craig (36:59.082)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (37:21.989)
you'll help everybody get more points. Choose that. Just make sure that it's somewhere, you know, that makes sense for you. That's the whole point of building a garden is so that it helps you. MHQ, as I said, we will be building others around the world. And if we need more people to do that, we will tap you on the shoulder and we'll say, hey, could you build five more gardens? Because we know there are people who really know how to do this and know how to choose good locations. So thank you, everyone.
Craig (37:37.294)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (37:42.669)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (37:48.367)
Exactly. would, I would suggest, it's a suggestion only, don't do interstates, don't do big highways, that sort of thing as well, because once you tap the electric, where it scatters itself as well, it depends on which direction you're going, you're not going to pick up all the scatters. It's impossible when you're doing, when you're a passenger doing that sort of speed. So I personally would not choose a, an interstate. That's just my opinion.
Rob (38:11.055)
And after 100 episodes together, it's going to shock you to hear that I personally would say put them right along the edge of an interstates just because there's going to be so many captures that go through. And yeah, you may miss a scatter or two, but hey, that's life free and easy. That's just how you go.
Craig (38:20.424)
Whoa, whoa. No, no. I'd rather, but I'd rather put it for my I'll be honest with you, I'm going to be selfish. I'd rather put it somewhere where I can cap it and I can then magnetize it and get the bounces and to get the rewards from it too. that's just me. I would put it, I'd put it for myself rather than others, but that's just, that's just the way I play.
Rob (38:38.437)
I agree. I agree.
I that so so would I but I'm just saying if you're gonna put one out there for other people. Anywho.
Craig (38:50.27)
Rob, Rob, mate, before we move on, congratulations buddy, 100 episodes. This is going to be the longest episode we've done so far and why not? We didn't think we had much to talk about, but we ended up, did. But Rob, in the other way, this ends the 100th official Munzee podcast.
Rob (38:58.353)
Yeah. Sorry, everyone.
Rob (39:10.929)
Wow, if you haven't listened to all 100, please go back and thank you for joining us on this.
Craig (39:14.446)
I haven't even listened to Bill 100.
Rob (39:20.305)
me either. Thanks for joining us on this excellent Munzee adventure.
Craig (39:24.942)
Don't forget to subscribe, rate and review. And I'll say this as well, if you haven't subscribed, subscribe. If you haven't rated this a five star, which it absolutely is, guarantee it, this is a five star rating. Rate this five star in the app in which you choose, whether that be on any podcasting app, Spotify, all that sort of stuff too. So iTunes, the whole lot. But otherwise, Rob, they're gonna join us again next week for another informative episode.
Rob (39:50.434)
And since we're going off the cuff, I'll add an odd comment here. Remember, Munzee is more than a game. It's a worldwide community of mobile game players.
Craig (39:52.468)
Yeah.
Craig (39:58.414)
Keep scanning, keep discovering, keep that Munzey spirit alive. 1, 2, 3, Happy 100, mate. Well done.
