Hey, welcome to the official Munzee Podcast. I'm Tim, also known as Minnesota boy, your host and the newest team member, and I'm Craig also known as Seemyshell, I promise not to call you rob too many times. I started as an avid Munzee player, now proudly part of the team. Each week, we delve into munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets in and inform players from around the world just what's coming your way. It feels like I got Rob on the other side. So sit back, relax. We chat today. Hang on, Rob. I see I said it straight away. I said the first time I said it, it's Friday the 13th. What that means is that Munzee loves Friday the 13th, but, but, but we're not talking about that. We're talking about a California wrap up, Tim. Yeah, wrap up, mate. So that's what's on the cards for today. Yes, if you're interested in what happened in California, yeah, stay tuned, and we'll let you know. But don't forget, though, we do have, apparently, Tim does have a question of the week for me too, and a tip of the week as well right at the end. So, yes, a tip from Tim. Oh, I like that. It may have to change. I might have to get your tips from you every single week. Tim, yeah, I don't, I don't come empty handed to these things. This is true this meanwhile, Tim, apart from the actual events in over in California. What else you've been up to? Mate Well, Munsey wise, recently, we have released some new personal tags. And as most people that are involved with mu know, I'm the person that is creating those, making those tags. I'm not creating the artwork. That's Craig and other people, Dylan, etc, doing the design work. I'm making the physical tags and chipping out stickers. But we've created some new tags. We have a whole new set of six pack rats. Oh, that's right, plus some some more basic tags. We have the Mugo a widdles logo and one with Cappy on it. So if you're interested in any of those things, certainly go to the store and order those up, and I'll get them off to you. Or if you ever gonna see Tim at a local event as well, it's free shipping if you see me in person, that is correct. Yes, you can get them for the $10 without the shipping costs included, if you see me at an event, and also with stickers too, if you see me at an event, I can give you the 50 stickers for four bucks instead of what they cost on the website. Wow, wow, wow. Nice. You know, because it saves on, you know, mailing and postage, all that stuff. Yeah. So to maintain that, then if, if I'm from, say, Minnesota or somewhere else, where are you going to be in the next sort of month, you know, would you know, any new events you're going to we do have an event coming up in Minnesota the week, a week a week from this weekend. So I'm not sure the date off the top of my head, but yes, I will be there. Oh, that's the, that's the weekend of the I think so, 20th to 22nd that weekend itself as well. Very, very cool. Very cool indeed. Mate non Munsey related as well. I got so excited yesterday, Tim, I think I sent you a photo as well. I was super. I was like a proud plus daddy, or a flock, a flock daddy, everyone knows by now that I've got these chickens hand raised since they were like one day old, and the first one of the six actually laid an egg yesterday. So wow, she's turned into a lady. So there you go. Now, Craig, are these? Are these the ones that are laying the green eggs? No, no, no. Those ones were they brand new? So they're only like, a week old. Oh, they're still, they're still in the brewery here next to me, in the in the garage. And now these, these six, are the ones that we got, like, last year, for instance, four months ago, and they're the ones that I built the new chicken coop for as well. So, Oh, very nice. So with these new ones starting to come online, how many egg layers do you currently have? So we've got two old, two older girls, and they're, they're laying quite regularly, normally, one each a day, that sort of thing. And then we've got six brand new girls that are going to be coming on the lay very soon. One is already on the late now, so I'll be looking at at least eight eggs a day minimum. So wow, yeah. I'm amazed at the transformation your life has taken. Craig, from being living in the mobile Tuesday van traveling around the country to settling down to a little farm life. It's quite cute. I know homesteading, homesteading we like. That's the new term for it home. So mate, is there something, something different, something new? I mean, I've always, I'll be honest with you, I've always wanted to, you know, we go through chapters in our life, and I do believe I really enjoyed, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the freedom and the luxury of Tuesday. And I still got Tuesday as well. People ask me, you know, do you still have Tuesday? You selling her? No, I'm not selling her. She's gone from an every every day full timer to a weekender, you know? Yeah. So I'll still be using her for weekends away. In actual fact, I got another trip planned very soon, Tim as well, to get away to do a G. A Tour over in over in Mississippi. So, oh, there we go. But I'll let you know more about that in the meantime. Meanwhile, let's get on to this actual episode as well, because we have a few different things to talk about. First and foremost, in the USA, we had four events in California. Three of those events went mega status, means people or more, which is really awesome. Nebraska, Iowa, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina and around the world. Mate, we had, well, it looks like we had in Ontario, BC, Canada, two in England, one of which went mega, yeah. And one in Denmark and one in Finland. Now you gotta clear your throat. You gotta have a drink too, because we're talking about the leaderboards over the weekend. Yeah, are packed. Friday, we had 19 millionaires. Saturday, 34 millionaires. And Sunday, two millionaires. So do you want to take the Friday and Sunday, Rob or the Saturday? Which one do you want? Well, you called me Rob again. We need to turn this into a drinking game. Tim, which team? Which ones do you want? My Do you want the Friday, Sunday? Well, you know, I'll make you do the hard work. I'm going to take Friday Sunday. Okay, so on Friday we, like Craig said, we had 19 people hit a million points. Leading the pack was a good friend of mine from Minnesota, here at geo matrix at 4 million. Right after that. Eagle dad nixing the at 3.7 Marley funk at 3.5 I bike for M at 3 million. C, grade 510, at 2.3 million. Q, 20 2q. 17 at 2.2 million. Stacy Z, the Geocaching Vlogger at 2.1 million. What is that? Poppy, joppy, that's a nice one. 1.8 million. Gabe Ji, tofu girl, 1.6 million. Munsee profit 1.5 million. Battle tech at 1.3 million. NF, five 1.2 million. Bowler, Leanne J at 1.1 million. Zach's, what is it? Mua dib, I hope I got that one right. Dragons West at 1 million. And that was it. That was all the 19. That's amazing 19 on that day. And just to let you know, Tim Gary's gonna be yelling at the audio right now, because Eagle daddy's in here. Got second and his wife, Marley fancy tea. Oh, Marley, fancy tea. Yes, fancy, fancy tea. Yeah, fancy. I don't think I've ever tried to pronounce that one. No, you haven't. So that's when you ski. You were sort of breeze through that, and I went, hang on. I gotta go back, because that's Xenia. She's a lovely, lovely person. You know? It's a, it's a, it's a, I know of as a Xenia. It's a lot of it's a lot of names for one day it is, well, there's more on Saturday, Tim, Tim, I'm trying, I'm trying to really enhance the tip. I've even got your photo there video. I can actually see you as I'm talking to you on Saturday, with 34 millionaires in first place, the number one player in the world, coal cracker, seven, 4.2 million points. Second place, we have Q 20 2q, 17 on 4 million points. Third place, rounding out the places for the for the Saturday toxin, 3.4 million. The rest of the millionaires. RG foresight, 3.1 million. Wan song team, tech, 3 million points. Vato tech X numbers, nerd, 2.8 million points. Bowler's wife, mua, dib you Dak, 2.7 million points. Bowler on 2.5 million. Tofu. Girl, 2.4 million. HERBIE 2.3 million. MICHELIN 71 2.2 million. Brasilia, 2.1 million. Munsee prof on 1 million points. Stacy z1 point 9 million points. Dragons West 1.7 million points. This is one of my favorites, Jonah Johnson, 21 1.5 million points, beating his father, Jeff, vlogger on 1.4 million points. I was so proud of Jonah. Good job mate. Find a 400 DJ Miche, 25 both on 1.4 million points, beaten and plenty. SMV on 1.3 million points. Duh, birds on x and XP, two 1.2 million points. Crash bum, la soft with 1.1 million points. Gerasov, gas, Flamingo, Florio, Fisher woman, DJ King and a good friend of mine, nesmuk, rounding out their million airs for Saturday, 30 Tim 34 so Wow. Only that Jonah Johnson, one, that's going to be cool. We'll talk about that later. We will. We will. Yeah, on Sunday we had two millionaires, tofu girl number one at 1.9 million. Roxy mama at 1 million, and then in third place, beacon at 782,000 I like it. I like it. I spoke to Beacon when I was in California as well. I spoke to a lot of munzi players. But I will say that beacon. A lovely lady as well, and her husband is not a Munsey player. It's a bit of a muggle. And I said, if ever he needs to be a Munsey player, his name must be moaning. So she's beaten and moaning. So anyway, there you go. Yes. Meanwhile, this this weekend, around the world. Sorry, around the world, USA, we have New Hampshire, Kansas, Arizona and Ohio and around the world. Tim, it looks like Holland, Spain and Germany. There you have it. Have a look at the events on the calendar. And you see any of the pink highlight events? They're the special, special events for the event streaks as well. Big events, though, coming up around the world in July, 10, 1112, they're in Netherlands. Have a look at those. Ohio July, 23 and 24 Munsey in Midwest geo bash. That's all the CO existers out there as well. Tim, are you gonna go to Midwest year bash this year at all? You know, I don't know yet. July is a busy month, usually, but not very possibly. Yeah, it's closer to you than what it is to me. Mate, just saying. So, yeah, and then September 18 to 20, do you want to say it, or should I? Oh, see you join in. See people complain I say that wrong, but you joined in. See, and you're from Minnesota, and you join in, so no one else can complain that I say it Minnesota, you should not miss mundsey media in Minnesota. If you want to attend a mega event this year really conquered in Minnesota, you will not be disappointed and tell us before we move on as well. The September 18 to 20. What's a you know, we weather like, what's it like up there to do your walk around, to grab your cake and stuff as well? Oh, yeah, in September, I mean, it could be up in the 80 degree range, but more likely it's going to be somewhere in the 70s during the day. Beautiful weather here in September in Minnesota, great Fall is a great time to visit here, and that's and that's low to mid 20s for everyone else in the world. All right, Tim, first and foremost, we're going to talk about the march bonus events. They're coming up. Firstly, we have throwback Thursdays every Thursday and scatter Saturdays. We saw some scatter Saturdays on the weekend. Tim, what your opinion of the scatter Saturday? Well, I mean, it's hard to get a real opinion of, like, what it would be in a real situation, because we were in an unreal situation in Los Angeles at those big events Saturday, with everybody there playing all at once. We had the map just kept loading with scatters, loading with scatters. It was crazy. I look forward to seeing what it's going to be like on just a regular Saturday here at home, see what it looks like. Oh, that's true. It wouldn't be anywhere near as bad. And so when we're talking about scatter Saturdays, what we're talking about is, if you grab a Munsee that normally scatters and normally scatter, say, two or up to three, it will now scatter up to six. So up to not always six, up to six. So it's extra scatters from caps on Saturdays. The throwback Thursdays is double EVO bounces deploys on every Thursday as well. So double EVO bouncer deploys. So that means you can get your quick grows in nice and early as well. So do it that way too. Have you been getting your quick grows in? Tim, no, I don't think I really have. Oh yeah, I did not. I missed out on the Thursdays. So I'm going to pay attention to that this week. Yeah, you should. You should, because you know, you, you know you're not letting the team down. I'll say that rob the one at the moment letting the team down. Yeah, I don't know. Most people probably know the three of us, me, Craig and Rob, are in a clan together, and we're, we are a bit competitive, a bit competitive and trying to get our little icon on all of the spots, all the different lines in the in the clan wars, but yeah, but right now, yeah, Rob's kind of probably holding us back, but that's a good question for you, Tim as well. I want to know because I thought it was only me, and that is in the clan requirements, not the actual group requirements, not the individual ones, but the group requirements. Who out there as well wants to see their icon next to that group requirement, to show that you're leading your clan. You're the only one like you and I, the only one team you know. I think other people care about that. I think when you look at those group requirements, you want to see that you're not the one that's holding the one that's holding your clan back. You know, you want to be leading the way. Yeah, exactly. I thought it was only me. I thought maybe it's just my competitive nature. But no, because, I mean, before you joined him, I'll be honest with you, I didn't see Rob's face on there at all. Yeah. Well, that's okay. He's got a lot to do. Otherwise. In March, bonus, bonus events, we have the last two weekends of March, which are double point weekends for only mailbox owners. Mailbox owners, if you don't have your mouth, you've got a mailbox team, I've got a mailbox. You don't have your mailbox yet, get your mailbox. It's a stereotypical mailbox where, if. Move. It will move with you as well. So great for the streak lovers out there as well. So yeah, grab your mouth. Speaking of streak lovers, Tim, I got my four year badge the other day. Four years, four years. Streak badge the other day. Man, I know that's very good. I can't, I can't say anything about my deploys, because I let that go again a few weeks ago. Streaks, the deploy streets are definitely a harder one to keep going. No doubt about it. You just because you just forget, unless you, unless you, you know, have some sort of alarm for yourself, you actually just figure out your deploy. So that's it. Yep. All right, Tim, let's talk about the Munsee madness recap over in California. First and foremost, I think we should start there with the interviews. Now we have three interviews, one from vato tech, and the other one from RG Forsyth. And also I spoke to spoke to Jonah Johnson. So Josh's son, he's he's back in the game as well. So here is vatic RG Forsyth and Jonah Johnson, I'm now currently with vato tech, and he come up to me said, Craig, Look, is there something I've got something interesting to tell you about my statistics. And I'm always after statistics. First of all, welcome, vatic How are you mate? Hey, life is great partner. This has been a wonderful three events today, one event yesterday, yeah, yeah. And it's clear blue sky here in Southern California, exactly now, what is this statistic that you want to share with myself and the rest of the listeners I at this event went over 2 million captures. 2 million captures. Million captures. So that's you find that on your stats panel as well, 2 million. Let us know what what you the listeners are listening now. Are going, okay, what are you captured, too? So I looked at mine because I had to look at mine, and I'm at, I'm at 1.7 million now, 1.7 so 2 million, that's still a lot. I've still got 300,000 captions to go. There's that's a lot. Keep trying, my friend. Keep Do you think I'll ever get there? Well done, mate. And have a safe travels back to from, you're from Phoenix, Phoenix in Arizona as well. So safe travels back. And did you fly in, or did you drive across? Drove across by seven hours. Nice, nice. And getting all the ones on the way back too. I take it. There's not many left. All right, mate, you take care. Thank you very much. Take care. Safe travels back to Alabama. Thank you, mate. Still at this event here, too little bit windy, but I've got RG Forsythe with me too now. And she said to me, Craig, I have something to tell you, but I'm not gonna tell you. It's gonna be live. So first of all, welcome. Have you had a good weekend so far? I've had a great weekend. This has been an epic Muncie weekend. Perfect. So what's that? What's the interesting fact or tidbit that you want to give me for the for the podcast? So I have made 100 million points back on the top 100 and today, I'm number nine so far, but I'm not done, yeah, but back into the top 100 with with 100 million points, and we're talking overall leaderboard here. Yeah, the overall Yeah, well well done. Then what's your secret? Then to success for today, there isn't any. Just keep on capping. Just keep on capping. Yeah, yep. And if you enjoy yourself windy this afternoon, but it's been a lovely couple of days. Oh, it's been wonderful. Yes, Yep, perfect. And worry about you from which state? Las Vegas. In Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada. I heard a rumor that, you know, there may be some events coming to Vegas, Nevada, but we'll soon see. This is what I've been hearing. Look at that. You heard it here, working on it. You heard it here first saw the podcast. Thank you so much, and congratulations. Well done. Thank you. Bye. I'm back here now. I'm with a young player. That's right, everyone knows Joshua, the Geocaching Vlogger, but he's got a son, one of one of his sons, too. Jonah, you're back here. Mate. Walt, I haven't seen you for a little while. You are actually living to the LA now you're in LA lives in LA now. Yeah, nice. You got a nice job in LA, too. Yeah, it's great. I'm working at a podcast. It's pretty fun. Yeah, and now I'm on a podcast on a different one, exactly. Well, mate, let me know you've re downloaded the app today as we speak, you log back into your account. You remembered your password first, somehow, somehow. And the password is no, just kidding, but, but yeah. So what do you think you've changed? You've seen changes in app since? How long has it been since you played last? I would say it's probably been. I'm going to go with a safe answer and say, like, 10 years. 10 years. Wow, wow. So what changes do you think you've seen the most in that in 10 years? Well, first of all, the app has completely popped off since I've been on the app, because I was looking to leaderboards, and I was like, Oh my gosh. I remember when a million points is a lot, and now people are way in the stratosphere. Yes. So first of all, I think that there's like, an implementation of, like, new stuff and like more points that is making it seem like more enjoyable, not only to the people that have been playing, but new players being like, Oh, I get a bunch of points from this virtual and this virtual alongside with the campground thing. I thought that was cool. Oh yeah. It feels like I remember when I played the app interface field, really, just like, I'm genuinely just looking, oh, you're the camp hub, yes, right? Hub, yes, yeah. It feels like it's actually a game. I don't know the interface. The interface is like, the biggest chain. And for the better. And so you actually one of those players who enjoy Cappy too, Little Unicorn. It's funny. At my at my home, my dad has, like, I don't know, like, 500 of them in his claw machine, and all the other all the other things are gone. So now we're a Cappy family. Yeah, exactly. Well, my Welcome back. Welcome back to the Munsee family and get out there and capture more. You would have had your, probably your best day ever, then today. So fast. Yes, I hit 2 million points, and I know that's not a lot, but it's been, it's been a long time coming and and my goal is to start playing again so I can pass my friend that I used to play with. Oh, that is still ahead of me, yeah, and he's a steer. He's still playing your friend, I don't know, reach out. Reach out and check. Yeah, he kind of fell off in the leaderboards a little bit. So yeah. Well, my suggestion reach out and check, and join in that clan together. Yeah, your own clan. There's clans. Oh yeah. Oh no, there was clans. When I played, I got lots to talk to you about. Thank you very much, buddy. There you go. Tim, so yeah, they had a great time. Yeah? And I'm really excited about the way that you're gathering some audio at events. Craig, it's really it brings some other voices into the podcast. It's really cool. Yeah, and some other ideas into the podcast as well. I mean, for instance, with vatic, you know, when he's telling me about his 2 million Munsee caps in total. That's a statistic that I didn't even sort of pay much attention to. And then I did. I had a look. Tim, how many Munsey caps Do you have? Have a look on your just I just looked, and it's 839,000 that's still good. But how long have you been playing Muncie for, since 2011 July 20. 2011 take 2 million monthly caps. I looked at mine, Tim, and not to flex or anything, but I'm at 1.7 million, yeah, but I've done a lot more travel. I've done a lot more travel than Yeah, running, running backs and things on freeways that'll do it exactly right, exactly right. And don't get me wrong, Tim as well, a lot of people using the VAX all over, you know, California, and it wasn't cleaning up the map that much. Yeah. And RG Forsythe, getting back into the top 100 that's a pretty exciting. She was excited about that. She was, she was, she'd been into 100 before, instead of, you know, she went on vacation for a while, and this, that and the other and life got ahead. And so she's dipped out of the 100, but she's back into the top 100 now too. And Jonah Johnson back after 10 years away from the game. It was interesting to see and talk to him about what was changed in 10 years. Yeah, yeah. Being a good friend of Josh's here in Minnesota. I've known Jonah since he was a much, much smaller child, and it was really cool to see him. He's now living out in Los Angeles. That's why he was able to come by to the events. And really cool to see and see him and catch up with him, well, that he's doing in his life. And, yeah, getting him back into the game after 10 years. And he was, yeah, he was just amazed at how it had changed and all the different things that you can do now that you could not do 10 years ago. I love it too, because he got back in and I thought to myself, Okay, I'm gonna have to look at, you know, resetting his password and all that sort of stuff. No, no, it must be his age. He logged straight back in. He remembered his password, he remembered his email address straight in. Even Josh was amazed when he's standing there too. He's like, wow, that's simply amazing. And then, and then the best part him finishing the day just ahead. And I'll be honest as well, like I saw Josh in Jonah. When I say that, I mean the competitive nature that Josh has. Yeah, Jonah's got that as well. And Jonah saw he was, I think he was at 500,000 or something like that. And he's like, This is amazing. This is incredible. I love how many points you can get now. Because, you know, he had just on a million points from 10 years ago, and that was it. And so he thought he was pretty pumped then, but now he's got over a million points in one day, yeah, but he saw his dad and he went, that's who I'm going to beat. And so, yeah, he he even went out of his way. He tried to follow us to dinner that night, but he went out of his way, and it was another 10 minutes later than us because he was trying to get a fire in front of his father. So very cool. I love him. I love for him. Competitive nature of Muncie. Tim, yeah, the competitive nature of Muncie. And also it was really refreshing to see, let's just say, a younger person, yeah, yeah. Really get excited about the game. Yeah. This is true. This is true. I mean, we knew our clientele, and you know you were not the median age group of our clientele. Yeah, I'm bumping up into it. Craig, I will turn 60 later this year, so I'm bumping up into that. Wow. They get so Rob, turns 50, 60, wow. You're the, you'd be the oldest member of the team now 20. Tim, probably right. You are. I'm sure you're right. I'm sure you're regularly, all right, Tim, tell us a bit more. What are your thoughts that happened on California? Mate, the Munsee madness. We had, we had a really. We had a really great time. The weather was cool. It was a little windy on the main day. On Saturday, was pretty windy that day, but we dealt with it. And you even got your drone up in the air, which I was amazed at, that that thing handled the wind so well. But yeah, we had a really great time. I did walk around and capture some of the pins and sold some tags. And really had a good time talking to some of the players. I talked to a couple of players I was especially you deck. I had a really good time talking to you deck about personal tags and what they are and what she can add to her munze game by by getting some of those. And so, yeah, it was just a really great time to connect with people that I don't normally see because they live farther away than from here. That's true. That's true. And I did say as well, of course, you know our good friend Munsey, Prof Frank, he had to get all those brand new tags. Were you talking about at the start of the side of the episode when it comes to the widow's ones and the pack rats and all the new ones that he hasn't got before? And the best part about it Tim now as well with the new Nexus. And so he got them all Friday and then by Friday night, he was in his hotel room, and he just basically one button click, and he connects all of those Munzee tags to his Nexus. And then come Saturday morning, etc, people were starting to tag his cap, his Nexus, and they were capturing all those old, new ones that they haven't captured yet, too. So he was getting lots of points. They were getting lots of points, and everyone was happy. And then you Nexus, Tim, so yeah, it's, it's the Nexus has changed the game with the personals. For sure, you don't have to carry all of them around. No, isn't. Unless you want non premium players to cap all of your tags, then you're going to need to bring them. But at a big event, most people are premium players. There's some hardcore players. Man, they're, they're all premium players, yeah? So they can cap that nexus. And, you know, you can cap the Nexus every day too. You get little points, yeah, exactly every single day, even if you've, even if you kept everything that's attached to the Nexus, you still get the Nexus every single day. Exactly. The events themselves, a Friday night, they had one event of the evening at a nice outdoor an outdoor only Chick fil A, so you had outdoor seating stuff too. That was really nice. And then on the Saturday, they had the three events, and in two of them were in parks, and one of them was at a like lunch stop as well. People ask me, Tim as well. And I'm going to ask you, put it on you, on the spot here. How do I get a big event started? What's some, some sort of ideas or tips that you can get for people to if they want to host a big, a big event? Yeah. I mean, my first suggestion would be to find a couple other players that want to do it with you. You can have up to four hosts on an event. So get three other people and get together and do it. Do it as a group. It makes it so much easier. You can spread the cost, obviously, that's the main thing, but also spread the work. Each each person has different talents, and so you can bring those to the table and then put together a really nice event. Yeah, exactly one of the things, well, make sure you get it on the calendar nice and early. It does help. You can't grow something until it's actually on the calendar. You know, how can I grow in a week? No, you gotta. It's got a fester over a few months. Yeah, and especially if you want to do a big event, if you're doing a big event over the weekend, over a weekend, say, multiple events, you you really want to get that out early. I mean, a year in advance is not too long for people to plan where they're going to be and where they're going to spend their travel dollars. So yeah, get it on the Get it on the calendar. I will say this after listening to a few, a few players at Munsey madness as well. There may, may be a new big event coming up, Tim after Minnesota. So in November, in November. And do you want to know the location? I can actually even say that I would love to know the location, Viva Las Vegas. So you heard it here first. It's a possibility. It's not on the calendar yet. There's people talking about hosting this as well. So it's just a possibility for the time being. Keep your eyes out. Keep your ears out onto this podcast, because I'm telling you now, as soon as it gets on their calendar, I will be talking about it and spooking about it the whole time. Because if you're from, I don't know if you're from England, if you're from Germany, from Holland, all those Netherlands, all those big European countries that do play Munsey a lot, and you've never been to the US. Now that would be the time to come over for like, a week or two to the US and start off your week in Vegas. Yeah, I know. And one of the big advantages with Vegas is, I know from Minneapolis, there's quite often some pretty cheap flights going in there. This is true, and some quite pretty cheap accommodations as well, providing this and what, that's what the hosts are the possible host to try to do Tim they're looking at when there's not much going on. So the prices are lower. When it comes to the accommodations that you can see, you can still see. They want to be able to still see Vegas. Because, I mean, there was only last year where I went to Vegas and they had half the roads, everything blocked off for the for the Formula One. See. So you're the one that's the only one of the only road tracks in the world. And so they have that blocked off. They even have the Bellagio fountain stopped. Stop because it's all blocked off. It was very disappointed. So you don't want to come fly over all the way from England to Vegas and not see the Bellagio fountain, for instance. You know that's iconic. So they're trying to do it whereby there's nothing else there. And so you can actually enjoy Vegas, for Vegas, as well as all the munzi events. So there you go. You heard it here first. If you didn't hope it happens, let's hope it happens. I'm I'm, look, I'd be looking forward to, I'd have everything cross, all my fingers crossed and dotted. My eyes crossed, my t's a whole lot. So all right, Tim, that anything else you want to recap from the California events, no other than just the fun that that we had there, it's a big events are always fun because you always see people from around the country, and yeah, it's fun to catch up with them. One thing for for Joshua, the Geocaching Vlogger, and I, we, we flew together from Minnesota back and forth on Sun country airlines from Minneapolis, and got nice prices on those flights, but unfortunately, on the return trip, they bumped us to the next day, delayed our flight to the next day. We were supposed to go out on the Red Eye Sunday night, and we didn't fly out until Monday at about 530 Oh, PM, oh, so, like, almost what, you know, 20 hour delay, yeah. So it turned out that it ended up really nice. They did. They did compass, some hotel rooms and some food money. So we, we took advantage of that. We did a little geocaching and more Munsee play. Visited the academy motion pictures? Museum? Nice. Nice. In Hollywood, nice. So we did have some fun, but it did, you know, extend our trip a little bit. But this is true. Speaking of Josh, the Geocaching Vlogger, as well, make sure you have a look and follow his channels, because he's bringing out. I think it might be even this weekend. I'm hoping it's this weekend where he talks about events. He eventually, you, you did some event see with him, Tim as well. Yeah, we did a really nice, a good, long form video about events. He and people can take a look at that. Yes, check out Josh's geocache and vloggers YouTube channel, and also just watch his social media, because he did a lot of tiktoks and shorts and all kinds of things about, about events. He about painted rocks, about Munsee geocaching. So if you want to catch up on all that stuff, check it out, all the things, all the things. And I'm sure as well, the team will be spreading the spreading the word of Josh as well when he puts out that, that long form content about events. Because I'll be honest Tim as well. What were your thoughts, personal thoughts on playing events? He at the event? Well, it was, it was fun to go back to it. I'm a long term Muncie player. You know, vency used to be part of Muncie many, many years ago, and we would include it in the Muncie mini events here in Minnesota on our Friday night event, just to do a fun scavenger hunt thing, and we would compete and see who could do it fastest and and see who could get the best photos in the thing. And, you know, so there's all kinds of things to do with it, and it was fun to get back to it. The thing we did here this weekend in Los Angeles was kind of a basic Munsee, basic setup for the event. See, whereas, you know, kind of generic, where is this go and do these things, it's kind of a thing where you could do pretty much anywhere with just turn it on and go, but you there event, see, is also very customizable. If you order an event, see, for an event that you're having, you can set up the question, the kind of questions you want to ask, the kind of things you want people to do, and all of that. And so, yeah, it's going to be fun to see how it goes forward. Yeah, absolutely. If you want more information again about events, he as well. Hit up, hit up Lou and she'll discuss with you about events. Because it was Robin Lou that put on eventually, there again, Tim that was close again. It was just like a testing one for for them as well. Yeah, where they had, like things, where you had to take a photo with, you know, something with a V, like Vardaman sort of thing. But all those things were actually automatically approved. Whereas you can have it set up, therefore you have one person or a group of people that are actually admins for it as well, and they have to approve your photos and approve your video and approve this, prove that. So I do like that solo event. So, you know, maybe Lesh family or or W Helen Prince, if you're listening for the Munsee mania in Minnesota, maybe that, okay, those two would do a fantastic job at they do everything. Well, I'd love, I'd love to see Tim as well, some prizes. For instance, you know, for first, second, third or the most, then the MVP. So the MVP of the photo, MVP of the most points, for instance, the quickest, you know, all that sort of stuff too. So there's so many things you can do with events. You as a. Event host. So the mind bottles, lots and lots of things, so many questions, even scanning QR codes. You know, go back to old school events in munc, where you can scan a QR code, the whole lot. There you go. All right, Tim, we're running out of time now, well, at a well over time. Munsey question the week, mate, do you have a question for me? Just a quick one, just a quick little interest Question of the week, Craig, I think most people that play Munsey have their favorite bouncers, especially the mechs. People love mechs. I have a favorite mech. And I was wondering, if you do, I will tell you mine first, mine. And this is not, you know, kissing up to the boss. I like the old, the old Vardaman. The name of it, the Star Wars, the Darth Vardaman, Darth vaderman, that's the one. Yeah, the Darth Vardaman. I just like the look of it and the tie in to Star Wars. I think it's pretty cool. Yeah, well, mine itself is the squad porn star, and he laughed, because the way I say, okay, but no reason for it. Number one is that, you know, it's blue and it represents SMS team. You know, back in the day, that's something when we had that rivalry, which, yeah, another tip for everyone out there listening later on in this episode, and that is, there may be another rivalry coming up in the not too decent future. Meanwhile, also, also Tim as well. That one there for cogs for points. It is a good quality cog for points. Three cogs to redeem points are as well, 100 points for deploys. And then you get 10 to 50 cap ons with 250 points for the captures as well. So that's older archives after five caps. So that's lots of different things there. I like it because it's only three cogs, you know. So for those players out there with with minimal cogs, then, you know, you can still get those sort of stuff as well. So that was, that's my favorite in general. Also Tim as well. While we're here, give us a tip, a Tim attempt Tip of the Week. Tim, a Tim Tip of the Week. So yeah, while we were in California, I was out with Joshua, and we were doing some caching and munseying, and I fell, tripped over something, fell on the ground. And my tip is make sure that you've got a nice screen protector on your device, on your phone, because, you know, that's like a, you know, realistically, $1,000 thing you're holding in your hand, right? So you want to, you want to, you want to be able to keep playing munzi. You don't want to have to stop because you broke your phone. I felt hit really hard, the phone on the ground. That screen protector shattered on that thing. It was like shards of glass coming off there, but I literally just peeled it off and the phone was perfect. Nice, nice. Can you imagine? So I'm just saying, if you want to keep playing, Munsey, don't lose your ability to play. Get out there, but keep it safe by keeping that thing protected. Oh, good tips. Tim, you come up with some good tips anyway. All right. Tim, that ends another official Muncie podcast. Thanks for joining us on this Munsee adventure. Don't forget subscribe, rate review on your favorite podcast app and join us next week for another informative episode. And remember, munze is more than a game. It's a worldwide community of mobile game players. So keep scanning, keep discovering, keep that Munsey spirit. Lover, 1230, boy, there he goes. You.
