Renewed Mindsets: Don't Conform-TRANSFORM
Renewed Mindsets is a bold, truth-driven podcast that digs into End Times prophecy, biblical warnings, and the call to live holy in the final days. Each episode exposes deception in today’s church, highlights signs of Christ’s return, and challenges believers to transform their minds and hearts according to God’s Word — not the world’s opinions. This is not surface-level faith. It’s a wake-up call for the remnant to rise, repent, and get ready

Light To The Nations: Advent Finale
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A quiet temple scene flips the world on its head: a child in his mother’s arms, two elderly prophets, and a promise big enough for every nation. We close our Advent journey by tracing a beam of hope from Isaiah’s “Arise, shine” to Luke’s account of Jesus presented in the temple, where Simeon and Anna testify that God keeps His word in real time, among ordinary people who choose obedience over noise.
Lauren and I read Isaiah 60:1–3, then move through Luke 2:21–40, pausing on the details that matter: Mary and Joseph honoring the law, the Spirit guiding Simeon’s steps, the tenderness of blessing paired with the gravity of prophecy. “A light to reveal God to the nations” is not soft sentiment—it is rescue that exposes and heals. We talk about how true hope refuses denial: it reveals deep motives, pierces illusions, and still offers joy. Anna’s decades of prayer remind us that hidden faithfulness can fuel public courage, and that praise often begins in long, quiet rooms.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we lean into watchfulness, prayer, and renewal. Expectancy becomes a daily ethic: read, reflect, act, and share. We thank you for walking with us through 25 days of Scripture and reflection, and we invite you to carry this light into your conversations, your choices, and your community. If the world feels dim, take heart—glory still rises over people who wait, worship, and welcome the King.

Rick
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets. I'm Rick, and I'm so glad you're here. Now, this is something special. For the next 25 days, we're gonna slow down, we're gonna quiet our hearts, and we're gonna turn our eyes towards Jesus as we walk through Advent together. Now, every day we'll take a few minutes to breathe and reflect and remember the hope that came into the world and the hope that's coming again. Hey, welcome back to Renewed Mindsets. We're about to wrap up the Advent Bible reading in the next couple days. I've got Lauren back with us today.
SPEAKER_01:Hey guys, good to be back.
SPEAKER_00:Isn't it awesome? We get to close all this out with Lauren. Um, we're in John 3.16, of course everybody knows that one through verse 21. Go ahead. Hey, welcome back to Renewed Mindsets. This is the final day of the Advent Bible reading. Today it's light to the nations, and we've got a couple verses. Lauren and I are gonna tag team this one for you, and we'll talk to you after it's over. Go ahead, Lauren.
SPEAKER_01:So we're gonna be in Isaiah chapter 60, verses one through three. Arise, Jerusalem, let your light shine for all to see, for the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. All nations will come to your light, mighty kings will come to see your radiance.
SPEAKER_00:So now we're also in Luke chapter two, verses twenty-one through forty. And we'll start off with where Jesus is presented in the temple. Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given to him by the angel even before he was conceived. Then it was time for their purification offering, as required by the law of Moses after the birth of a child. So his parents took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. The law of the Lord says, if a woman's first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the Lord. So they offered the sacrifice required by the law of the Lord. Either a pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons. The prophecy of Simeon. At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout, and was eagerly awaiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him, and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Messiah. That day the Spirit led him to the temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying, Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised. I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel. Jesus' parents were amazed at what was being said about him. Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby's mother, This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed, and a sword will pierce your very soul. The prophecy of Anna. Anna, a prophet, was also there in the temple. She was the daughter of Fanuel, of the tribe of Asher, and she was very old. Her husband died when they had been married only seven years. Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem. When Jesus' parents had fulfilled all the requirements of the law to the Lord, they returned home to Nazareth in Galilee. There the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God's favor was on him. Amen. We have made it to the end of Advent.
SPEAKER_01:I'm still sad about it.
SPEAKER_00:It is sad, but it's exciting because we read for 24 days and we led right up to this point, which is tomorrow when we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
SPEAKER_01:That's true. That's true.
SPEAKER_00:It is. So we love you. I appreciate everybody listening in every day and taking this journey with us. Uh mark your calendars next year, December 1st. We're going to just replay this because it's too good for everybody to only hear once. Yeah. So we'll see you. Well, we'll see you every week because we want you back every week. But Advent's again for another year. Enjoy your Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas. I hope the Lord blesses each and every one of you.
SPEAKER_01:Merry Christmas, y'all. I love you so much.
SPEAKER_00:Love you. Bye.
SPEAKER_01:Bye.
