Episode 103 — There’s Real Snow in Skyami
Think Pieces and Conversations Podcast
In Episode 103 of Think Pieces and Conversations, we step into the music lane with a full review of Future’s new album, The Real Me.
Think Pieces and Conversations is not limited to politics, news, gaming, or personal life topics. This podcast is about the things that actually catch my attention, and music is one of those things. In this episode, I break down how I feel about The Real Me after listening to the album five times since its release.
This is not a surface-level reaction. I go through the project, speak on the songs, compare this album to other Future projects, and explain why I rate it the way I do. I talk about what worked, what didn’t work, what stood out, and where this album fits in Future’s overall catalog.
No music is played during this review. Because of copyright issues on YouTube and other platforms, I chose not to include the actual songs in the episode. This review is based on my voice, my breakdown, my opinion, and my honest reaction to the album.
From the production to the energy, from Future’s delivery to the replay value, this episode is about whether The Real Me lives up to the standard Future has built throughout his career.
This is a music review, a Future album breakdown, and a real conversation about where The Real Me lands in 2026.

They want to know what we got going on today, man. What do we got going on? Today is July 10th. A lot of things, not a lot of things, but one thing in particular dropped that I was very excited about. You want to know what that is? Futures New Album. Wow, this turned into a music podcast. Wow. Futures new album. The real me. This album right here. If you're not a music fan, this podcast episode is not really for you. Um, this is think pieces and conversations, and then think pieces and conversations, anything that sparks me to have a conversation, things that I normally think about, things that I normally uh indulge in that makes me think, makes me get out of thinking too much, such as music, is gonna be something that I'm talking about. Future is one of the most talented artists to me right now. Uh future is one of the most timeless artists to me right now. But that's not the point. When it comes to music, I'm very objective. I know what I like, I like what I like. There is a bias to that, but I have a background in productions, and I have a background in I'll just say I have an ear for these things, right? I have a pretty good ear. If you if you ever went through my playlist, if I give you my playlist of just my favorite genre, which is trap music, RB, hip hop, just rap in general, you you you'll be impressed. But this album, I want to start from the first song, right? I want to start from the first song. I'm being very objective, right? Um he could have picked a better song to into to to intro his album. Uh he could have better he he could have he could have picked a better song to intro his album. I felt that the BPMs was a little too slow to follow it up with the next song after that. Um I wasn't really a fan of the beat. I Future felt very restricted on the song. He felt very um I don't know. He he he wasn't the personality that he came with on the other songs versus this song. It's like this song was just him being very uh anti-social, but still saying what he gotta say, and then kind of getting up out of his shell in the last couple couple balls of the verse of the final verse, which he says F an interview. Um that was my probably my least favorite song of here, maybe one of my least favorite songs. It ain't too many least favorites at all. Um second song. I'm gonna tell you about this. Second song, one two. Let me tell you about one two, right? Let me tell you about this. This song first leaked on the internet, but it was also blended in and put together with another song, like how Travis Scott and um Drake did that song, that very popular song that I'm not remembering the name right now. I think it's Sicko Mo. That song is famous for changing beats, right? Blending into another beat and changing beats on this album, the second song, which is one two, and number nine, snow and skiami, both songs that I liked, right? These songs were blended together. Snow and Sky Ammy was the first song that was playing before one, two, right? And I love one-two, I love how braggadocious and how he just don't give a fuck what y'all got going on, he doesn't care, like he this is how he's living his life, this is what we doing, this is what it is. The beat is awesome, everything, but the blending of Snow and Sky Ammy, which is a good song by itself. Snow and Sky Ammy is a good song by itself, it almost takes away one two and how powerful that song is because now they're separated, and I understand what he did business-wise, separating snow and skiami, and one-two. If you you can find it probably right now on YouTube, Snow and Skymy is playing. I was playing this shit. Listen, I'm playing this in the car. I'm pulling up YouTube and playing Snow and Skymy in the car, right? And I'm playing one-two because one two is blended after it, and it's sick. I might have played it, I might have gave that video alone a hundred streams on YouTube, but one two by itself, back to number two, one two, right? One two is a seven out of ten by itself. I would have put a different song as number one, then put Snow and Sky Me as number two, or maybe I would have kept Snow and Sky Me and one two together. That that that made the song less good than it actually is, and it's a really good song. He's really rapping on one two, so I might give it like an eight. It's like an eight, but it's a ten put together. Number three, no misery. I've skipped this song a few times. Right now, I'm not liking the song. I'm not liking no misery. No misery is like a six to me. After number three. What the hell is this? What just cut me? After number three, this is where the album gets very, very different. It becomes exactly what I expected from a future album. The album is noticeably retrospective, much more retrospective than his last couple projects since Hendrix. Um, this is very introspective, but it's more up-tempo. It's a more up-tempo introspective. Number four, California girls. I see this as a summertime. You play this at a at a at a at a at a grill, at a cookout, at a party, at a get-together. Um, it could be played at a club too. I would have to hear that in a s in that setting, but I don't go to clubs, so that I'm not gonna hear that in that setting. I like California girls. I did. I like California girls. Um he's basically speaking about I guess he's in a room or a building full of girls. He's telling he's just he's just telling everybody how much he loves girls, he loves girls all around the world. It's kind of like a jigger song, like girls, girls, girls, girls, I do adore. It plays in that realm of Jay-Z Girls, girls song, but it's not that. It's futures version, futures own version, that he trademarked to talk about a bunch of women. Right? We got Tank Top Pluto. I'm glad we got to number five. Number five should have been number one. Number five should have been number one. If Fuchu was going to change how this um album was chronologically ordered or ordered, placed, whatever, Tang Top Pluto will be number one. But Tank Top Pluto would signal that he's not being as introspective as he actually is. So I understand the choice. I like Tang Top Pluto, I give that an eight out of ten. California girls 7.58. It's actually gonna end up being a nine or ten in the real world, though. In the real world, this is gonna go crazy, and I might actually love it even more. Cause this is only day one. Wait up, fire, classic Pluto. Um, definitely some shit you put on in the gym. Um let me tell y'all something, man. There was a lot of talk on the internet, right? And the internet has this way of shooting down an album as soon as it drops. The songs aren't going to sound as good the very first time you listen to them, most of the time. But in some cases, there is that chance where the first time you hear some shit, you know this shit is gonna go crazy. A lot of these songs, the first time I heard, I was like, yo, when I run this back, it's gonna go stupid. You run it back a second time, it's it's going crazy. I've been playing the album all day. I need people on the internet to get their own opinions. Y'all have to learn how to listen to yourself, your body, your gut, your ears, and be like, yo, I actually like this. I don't have to hive mind a fucking album. Like, I don't have to hive mind music. Music is supposed to soothe your soul, it's supposed to motivate you, it's supposed to do whatever you ask this thing to do. It's energy, it's frequency. X all day I've been seeing yo, future album is trash, blah blah blah blah. It's 7 p.m. right now. You know what happened? A lot of people have been listening to it, kept listening to it, kept listening to it, and I'm starting to see different views and reviews. That's all I'm gonna say before I finish my review. Konichiwa. Konichiwa, right? This song number seven off the real me album is Future having a lot of fun, man. He's having a lot of fun. He uh He's on his braggados, he's on his yo. I want my He wants his girls to say Kanichiwa. I don't know why, but he's saying he wants his girls to say what he wants them to say so he could give them money. Which is hilarious. He wants y'all to say kinichiwa. He telling the African in the song, say kanichiwa, she say kanichi wa. He tells her Asian or Japanese to say kanichiwa. Whatever the verse says, I don't know the thing word for word yet. I like that song. 8 out of 10. Trench coat banger. Trench coat banger. 9 out of 10. Snow and Sky Amy, perfect future record, perfect future record, made for throwing money, snow and Skymy. My absolute favorite song right now. You going to number 10. Hold on, before I go to number 10. There is a line in trench coat. Trenchcoat the hook is so powerful. Trenchcoat, he's talking about basically in this song. He's talking about he gave away his baby moms, all his baby mothers. They all found loves of their life. And I like buying trench coats basically. Fire song, bro. You just gotta hear it. You just gotta hear it, right? Snow and Skyami is going to take over the clubs. It just is. Like, this is when things start getting crazy as far as how this album is rated. This if this was pre-COVID when Snow and Sky Ammy came out, Snow and Skyami would have taken over the streets. I don't know how the club scene is right now, today in 2026, but it's definitely changed. It's definitely lessened. There's a lot less money out in these streets. Right? There's a lot less money out in these streets. So a snow in Skyami might not get the love it's supposed to get. This is a hit from Future. You know what I noticed about Future? This is what I notice. Because I've been studying music for quite a while, right? You might not know that. You might think, yo, this guy is just a gamer. He's just a podcaster. He's talking about whatever he talks about, politics, aliens, years of war, fighting games, whatever. There is something that future figured out. Future figures something out. When you train your ear enough, when you listen into other artists that try to do what future does, they fail at it miserably. You know what Future is? Future is very he tries to satisfy every part of the song. He tries to satisfy the beat, he tries to satisfy the hi-hat, he tries to satisfy the rhythm and the groove of he tries to satisfy the the feel of the song, the mood of the song. He's trying to satisfy every part of the song while not being predictable. He tries to satisfy every part of the song while not being predictable, while changing his flows up, while satisfying whatever the groove calls for, even if he needs to stick to a certain flow for a certain amount of time in order to satisfy what the song is telling him. You're not gonna know what I'm saying if you're not really into music. Listen, objectively speaking, because people think that I'm biased with futures like oh he only makes good songs. I literally said his first out of the first five songs, I did not like two or three of them off this album. The first I'm being very objective, so I don't give a fuck. Sun mastered this music shit, and he's getting better as every album goes. I'ma be honest. Let's go to number 10, build a bitch. Let's go to number 10, build a bitch. Alright. This is the misogynist out anthem. This is the great misogynist anthem right here. This is the great misogynist anthem, build a bitch. That's what people gonna say. The people that are soft and they politically correct, they're gonna call this album or this song right here misogynistic. You know what this song is? This song is the list of things that we like in a woman, or I guess that future likes in a woman because he's rapping the song, singing the song. It's just like what a woman would say when they're asked, What do you look for in a man? That's all this song is. This song is that in a song form for a man though, every man, man, let me capitalize that word man, M E N, right? That believes in what he says, does what he says, stands on his principles, goes with his own opinion, his own objectivity. Build a bitch is probably his favorite song on his album, if not top three on his album. The song Build a Bitch is top three, if not top one. On that man, whoever's a fan of future, whoever could relate to this song, to the concept of this song, they are going to love build a bitch. If I'm lying, if we buddies, if we really rock, if we on the same wavelength, make sure you don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Number 11 radio. This song right here fits well with the album. I like the song when it came out as a single, right? I did like it. I don't know what he could have put out to play on the radio. I think he wanted to throw people off with radio. I think he wanted to lessen the expectation, even though I thought radio was a great song. But radio plays more so on the pop side. It plays more so on the mainstream. I'm trying to go pop side, but it's still street because of what he says in his verses. Radio fits well in the album, 7 out of 10, 7.5 out of 10, maybe 8. I like it. I don't I don't skip it when I play it. It's a good song. 2018. This song 2018. When I first heard it, I played it the first time, right? It threw me off, and I was liking the song and hating it at the same time. But I was like, yo, let me skip this shit. Cause I don't feel like hearing this voice right now. I don't feel like hearing this type of voice right now, right? Ran through the album, went back to 2018. Crazy how I say that. Song is 2018 going back to 2018 as if I'm time traveling. This song is in reference to Slavina going on a cop. That shit he did with Kendrick Lamar off the uh Black Panther album. He brings back the voice of this song, he changes his voice, he brings it back, and that song is gonna end up being a very big song, probably the biggest on the album. It's probably gonna end up being the biggest on the album. That's a hot is that really a hot take. A lot of people are gonna be annoyed hearing this. They're gonna play it a couple times, and it's going to intoxicate. This is a sleeper banger. This might be Song of the Summer. If it does what it's supposed to do. I don't know. This is a 9.5 10 out of 10. Because I know what this is gonna do. Even though I know it's a 10 out of 10 objectively, I'd rather play other songs. But I know I'm gonna hear this shit. Guaranteed I'm gonna hit 2018. Money over everything, number 13. This is gonna motivate a lot of people. Um this is a listen, this album is a man's album. I'm be honest. This is a man's album. Um this is a man's album that's that enjoys you know speaking about what he really thinks about whatever he's going through. He's not sugarcoating nothing. Money over everything is future not sugarcoating how the world really works. Especially in his world. Money over everything is motivational music for that guy that just realized certain things. Power-wise, when it comes to his his girlfriend or whatever. He wants to go on a vacation or he wants to buy more assets. He reaches a certain age, and he's like, Yo, you know what? I gotta tighten up, I gotta really stand on what I want to stand on, really work towards what I want to work towards, and take my family to another position. This is what money over everything is about, number 13. Even though it's trap, even though it's what Fusion does, says what he says, indulges in certain things that he may or may not indulge in. This song says that Uptempo, great song. Um it's gonna do what it do wherever it goes, 8.5 out of 10. Off the hinge. Let's talk about off the hinge. Let's talk about off the hinge. Um this song, right? This song is my second favorite song on the album. Next to Bill the Bitch. Off the Hinge is 2026 version, in my opinion, of March Madness. Off the Hinge is in my opinion, 2026 version of March Madness. He's telling you things is getting off the hinge, and you could put everything in the bubble when he says what he says on the song. 9 out of 10. This is day one of me playing Fugitors album. I played it five times, right? I don't know the lyrics, I don't pull out rap genius. Oh my god, he said this. Even though in Snow and Sky Amy, he does say I got more holes than Nick Cannon, and I get fresher than Nick Cannon. He he rhymes it, but he says that on Snow and Sky Amy. It's not a diss, Nick. You get a lot of holes. I'm saying I get way more than you. That's it. Back to off the hinge. Off the hinge, great song, great for working out, great for motivating yourself, great for getting money, great for just upping your dopamine so you can get your job done. Introspective future number 15. I seen some of my homies on the internet say that future will never get to Hendrick's future, right? People said that. If I could, is an example of Future stepping into that bag, but this is more rap. Matter of fact, let me play it right now. I'll just edit it out the video. Alright, so in this record, very introspective, it's up tempo, but it's more um the feel of it is perfect for what he's talking about. He's talking about his son, he's talking about uh just you know being the boss, understanding what it comes with. If I could, if I keep talking about regrets, he's talking about if I could be, you know, I guess the the the creator or God, if I could have the power to do this thing, then he would do it. So he's talking introspection. I can see this song being on Hendrix. This is a Hendrix song. Let me listen to Big Moment. I like Casting Spell. I like Casting Spell. That's gonna be a sleeper. Sleeper. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is uh yeah, this is Hendrix. This is signature Hendrix. Um, this is about a 9.5 10 out of 10. This is crazy. This is crazy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Big moment is crazy. Big moment is crazy. Cast the spell, I love cast the spell. That I get at the same rating. Let's talk about kick real quick. Kick number 18. 17 was cast a spell, 16 was big moment, 15 was if I could. Kick the first verse off kick. I said this on Twitter. Right? I said this on Twitter. I said the first verse off kick is literally the best verse, the best flow on the album, best flow on the album, first verse future kick. Futures first verse off of kick. Yo, this is how I know you this is how you know when somebody loves music, they understand that you could as long as you land this shit where it's supposed to land this shit at, you could really do some damage to these flows. You don't have to be mechanical with it. You don't have to be uh uh uh uh formulaic with it. A lot of people that try to copy future, they try to be formulaic. This shit, he was bugging when he did this first verse. This is the best flow on the album. The first verse was kicked. Hollywood did not like it. It might be big in one of them white boy movies where they snort and coke or whatever. They doing all that. I don't like Hollywood 6 out of 10. Feeling I give. The only thing I don't like about feeling I give is that it seems it sounds like a song that it wasn't really meant to listen to the words. The words are very far in the background. You could play this while cleaning, you could play this while reading a book. Um, I liked feeling I give. There was this emotion there, but I wanted to hear what he was actually saying. So I give it like I like the feel of it 7 out of 10. Alice is gonna be a big song, not my favorite song, but Alice is gonna be Grammy Pop. They're gonna put it on one of these big movies, a Marvel movie, or some shit like this, or maybe Alice in one of them. I don't know. Number 22, Idle Eye, four-fifth favorite song in the album, probably four-fifth, top five top five song to me. Um, hold on. My was up. Okay, everything good? Yeah, everything's good.
SPEAKER_01Hold on, baby for um, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It was raining like crazy outside.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_03I said it was raining like crazy outside.
SPEAKER_01Really? Oh wow, this is a windy one.
SPEAKER_03It wasn't that windy, it was raining.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03All right, be safe, be safe. Um let me go back to Alice real quick. Alice was produced by f uh Pharrell. I could tell he produced a lot of futures direction when it came to the song itself. Um it's gonna be a big song, objectively. I don't like the song, right? I don't like the song. Not really my thing, but it's gonna do something. Like, it's gonna do something. It is what it is. Eye to eye favorites of top five. Earlier in the video, I wanted to talk about futures last album compared to this. This might not be popular, right? A lot of people might not agree with me, and I want to tell you one thing before I tell you my answer. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a shit. So this album in its current state right now, listening to five times in a row. This album is better than the last album. This album is better than the last album. It's more introspective, it has less skips. I think his first album had more skips, way less introspective. It was a lot of things that you can't really relate to on his last album. It's very superficial. It wasn't really talking about him, even if his life may be considered superficial because of his status or money or whatever. That's not the point. There are still things that a rich person might do or a famous person might do that can relate to the common man, such as falling in love, such as getting your heart broken, such as telling your homies you're gonna win, such as your telling your homies to believe in you, uh fake friends, all this whatever that happens in real life. He got that introspective on the album, even though he talks about his normal things. Future got more experimental on this album as well. He wanted to give us good records, but he wanted to be a lot more take more chances. He took more chances and he went crazy on this album. This album is better than the last album. Make sure you like, comment, subscribe to the channel. Um, I guess this is a Think Pieces and Conversations episode. I don't do music reviews on the YouTube, so we're gonna consider this a TPNC podcast music episode. Make sure you like, comment, subscribe to the channel. Did you like Futures album The Real Me? What songs did you like? Did you hate the album? Did you love the album? What was your top three favorite songs on the album? I'm out of here.
