CEO Meets Homeschool with Timea Parker

Episode 79: Break from 10x let's talk 2025

Timea Parker Season 1 Episode 79

Welcome to CEO Meets Homeschool. My name is Timea Parker, and I am both a CEO and homeschool mom to my four boys. Welcome to episode 79. This should be the first episode in 2025. Sounds even funny saying that, but man, 2024 flew by. And I'm going to switch things up from the 10x jumps that I've been working on. I want to finish what I had written down on 10x jumps, but for the next one to two episodes, we won't be talking about that. So I get in from some of the groups I'm part of. I've been getting some planning, 2025, how to have a great year. I get a lot of that stuff. In particular, there's one thing I just read and it had these three words. And I figured I would just pass this along because It resonated with me and I think it's important. So the three words were stop, keep, and start. And to be honest, the word stop was probably what really caught my attention because there's a few things that I have been thinking of saying this process isn't working the way some of this time has been utilized, isn't the most efficient, and really I need to stop. The way we've been doing a couple of things and switching it up. A lot of this is tied to more of my marketing than say the services we provide, but there's just a bit of a efficiency and to make sure that it's as productive as possible. So stop, keep, and start. And then it goes on to say like, what should I stop? Because it's just not working and you put it in perspective. We're at the beginning of 2025. So it's a great it's almost like New Year's resolutions, but I won't say that because I don't really do New Year's resolutions. It's just good to throughout the whole year. Try to be intentional. But so as we're beginning, though, it is a nice for timing sake. I thought this would be a great discussion. So what should I stop? Because it's not working. And then the second word was keep. What should I continue doing? Because it is working. We're doing it well. And then the third, which is actually a great challenge word, what should I start? And that one is, you've identified a problem or a need and you know what you need to do to solve it. Get the problem solved or to make things better. So what do you need to start? And so stop, keep, and start. I just figured I would share that today and encourage anyone listening to this. Maybe grab a journal or a piece of paper and ponder those three words and it can help you as we head into the new year. Have a great day.
