Living life on life's terms often means dealing with unexpected hurtful, and even painful situations. These situations remain outside of our control and we lack the power to change or abate them. We can and should deal with them in their entirety. The pain, the loss, the isolation, the exhilaration, the joy, the laughter. All of life's ups and downs feel what we need to feel and then move on. Faith in the God of our understanding propels us through these life events. Faith that with GOD everything is already alright. It is because of this faith that using is not an option. What used to be my go-to, using a drink or a drug to evade feeling anything is now not even an option. This is the power of God in recovery. The unbelievable becomes actual. Recovery is GOD-initiated and God-sustained. Listen as Trent reveals how using is not an option for him in his recovery.
