Recovery is an improvement. A step forward, a upgrade. Recovery demands making the next right decision. Recovery is a move away from bad past decisions and a step into making better decisions and getting more rewards and less consequences. Recovery for me is a constant state of gratitude. Grateful for each new day of life. A new day to improve, get better, be better, do better things. Make better decisions and receive more rewards. Better is a state of motion, movement in a positive direction. Recovery is a update on all bad past practices. Recovery means receiving better outcomes from better decisions. Listen as Trent relates how recovery has been a upgrade for him.

Recovery is a process of decisions.
Welcome to the Recovery is a Process of Decisions podcast. This is Trent Thomas, your peer support recovery specialist. This week's episode is entitled, Recovery is a Upgrade. Recovery is a step show. Recovery is the greatest show on earth. People will watch you upgrade, and many will applaud your achievement. However, some will reveal jealousy and hate. My response to them is give them something to hate. Hate is a result of the hate they have for themselves. The struggle you maintain each and every day is beyond their grasp. Because of this, they hate. They hate what you do, what you have begun, your desires, your accomplishments, your goals. They hate your honesty. Your truth is a bright light on the lies they manifest. Their laziness is apparent through your growth. Your accomplishments is a reminder of all they should be doing. For those that understand, you become a guiding force, a reconciling of what they should be doing. How you live is a beacon of inner light that shines brightly. Your spirituality is a wake-up call to their need to see and hear the God of their understanding. You seek what you have in common with, and they stand upon what's different with. The need for harmony and serenity is abjectly apparent in your life duties. Your inner peace is a love song to their soul. It propels, it inspires, it manifests growth and prosperity. Your life is a series of highlights of things you've overcame, of adventures you have surmounted, of life you have lived. Your experiences, good, bad, and otherwise, are rich in lessons learned and bear the weight of who you have become. Recovery declares the best is yet to be. Recovery stands as a work in progress. Recovery declares you are still in the oven, not yet completed, but on your way. Your guiding light is God's presence. His force propels your very next breath. You are, you exist, you are blessed. Recovery is life, and my life is recovery. I congratulate all who are in recovery, recovery from anything, because regardless of what you are recovering from, the steps of recovery are the same. Living life in recovery is in and of itself a blessing and a reward. The reward for making the next right decision. This is what we get to make more decisions. To be of the ones who state what they used to do is a blessing. The gift is in the life we get to live, to be born again, to be given a renewal of life, a second chance at living, to be awoken each day with a brand new mandate to just do better. Better today than yesterday. Each day is an upgrade, a level of improvement, progress in a journey filled with new hills and valleys as directed by God, his wisdom, his mercy, his forgiveness, his power, his timeline, not ours. Faith is in the waiting. Waiting on God requires patience and understanding. The understanding that with God all things are possible and achievable. God needs nothing from the natural world to achieve his purpose. His will will be done with or without our permission or assistance. God's will is absolute and undeniable. God cannot be halted or persuaded. What God issues forth will come to be. Everything God does is truthful. Recovery mandates truth. Becoming a truth seeker has become a mandate in my life. Seeking the truth in life is a vital collective of recovery. Recovery requires truth. The truth about ourselves, how we live, what we do, what we used to do, what we know. Truth seeking is a function of my daily existence, who I am, what I do, where I go. Truth is what I seek in all my affairs. I choose to be truthful, to tell the truth. To be a truth seeker is a conscious decision on how to live. My recovery is what I want. Recovery is how I live. Recovery for me is a decision to live and not die. Recovery requires my participation, my energy, my willingness. For that reason, I am recovery, and recovery is me. Recovery declares I am a better version of me. My life is upgraded, a step up in improvement. When I am striving to do better, be better, I am at my absolute best.
