Recovery is a action word. Recovery requires energy and effort. Recovery is a tireless effort at self improvement. A relentless drive to improve. Recovery mandates doing the next right thing. Recovery is a inside job. Only you can fix you. Recovery begins and ends with you. Recovery is a mindset of seeking the truth. The truth about you. Your triggers, your faults. Recovery is self reflection and self awareness complete with self realization about the disease you suffer from and its daily treatment. Recovery demands bettering oneself each and everyday. A realization that perfection will never be achieved, but improvement is a necessity. Doing better is a everyday challenge and main stay of recovery. In recovery perfection is not required but improving is absolutely demanded. Listen as Trent speaks on how recovery mandates he just do it every single day.

Recovery is a process of decisions.
Welcome to the Recovery is a Process of Decisions podcast. This is Trent Thomas, your recovery peer supports business. This week's episode is entitled Recovery. Just Do It. Recovery is an action word. It is a verb. It requires willingness and activity. Recovery requires energy and effort. It is a tireless spree of self-will, self-improvement, and self-involvement. It is an inside job, a need to work on oneself. Inspired by God, activated by you. Only you can fix you. Self-determination is the cornerstone of self-improvement, a deep desire to better oneself, an imaginative effort to be the best version of oneself, a self-implification of self-empowerment, to rise oneself up to new heights, to achieve the highest levels possible, to conceive and rise from the pits of despair to a mountain of achievements, self-recognition, and self-awareness from the mind of you. Recovery is most definitely an inside job. Recovery demands a clear focus on you, your flaws, your triggers, who you are, what you do, what you see, where you go, who you are in the company of. A total change of you from the inside out. For your life, everything must change. You must be born again. Become that inner child and learn again what to and what not to do. Listen, imagine, fall, then stand and walk. Stumble, fall back down, get back up and stumble some more. Learn to stand, then walk. Listen to learn and learn to listen and to just do better. Better today, better than yesterday. For me, I learned to lean on the stories of others. I allowed their truths to lead me. I became a truth seeker. I sought out their experiences. Their mistakes became my chalkboard of life. I learned by watching what stove they touched. I learned you cannot touch every stove, but rather one must learn from the mistakes of others. Learning from others' mistakes became my life lesson on what to and what not to do. I went to meeting after meeting, hungrily seeking truthful lessons on life. Truth is contagious, and I could not get enough. Day after day, I listened for more and more. Truth became my calling card. People I didn't know were sharing their most embarrassing truths, free of charge, just to teach others what to and what not to do. Recovery is the greatest show on earth, and I am so happy to be a part of it. Recovery is a blessing, a gift from the God of my understanding, a gift I gratefully cherish and welcome into my life. Each new day is a blessed opportunity to just do better. Never perfect, just improved. I earnestly seek a better version of me. I firmly believe that as long as I strive to do better, I am at my absolute best. Recovery is my life, and my life is recovery. With this blessing, I am born again. My gratitude has no limits, as each new day I get to just do better.
