Recovery is a process involving the removal of wrong and lies from our lives. Recovery is the demonstration of subtracting wrong decisions from our decision making process. Recovery remains the essence of critical thinking that is minus lies and negativity. Truth is positive and needed to ward off the temptations of lying. Remaining in the right means subtracting the wrong. God is the power supply for our life in recovery. It is the truth that comes from God that empowers us on our daily road of life. Truth is a way of life. Truth seekers follow God and struggle to maintain that which is right. Listen as Trent explains why his recovery requires subtraction.

Welcome to the Recovery is a Process of Decisions podcast. This is Trent Thomas, your peer report recovery specialist. This week's episode is entitled Recovery Requires Subtraction. Recovery requires not being stuck on ourselves, but unrevealing our dirt by cleansing ourselves of our pride, ego, self pity, self gratification, ridding ourselves of ourself, moving from self-gratification to selflessness. Recovery is subtraction, not adding to but subtracting from one day, one moment at a time. Hopeful instead of hopeless. We are not as unique as we think we are, for we are not alone. Every story of recovery is a testimony of God's power, a overcoming of obstacles, a reversal of decisions, a gaining of power from a power greater than ourselves. Living life on life's terms requires faith, faith in our higher power, belief in His power. To overcome adversity requires strength of character, perseverance, faith in our definition of a higher power. To struggle on is a recipe for success. Recovery is defined by removing wrong from our decision making, by subtracting anxiety and lies from our daily practices, enhances our determination and ability to overcome anything. The power we exert in our struggles prepares us and strengthens us to maintain our walk for that which is right. Living right requires subtracting wrong from our daily practice. Subtracting bad decisions moves us in the right direction. Subtracting negativity produces positivity. Subtracting wrong thinking frees us up to move in a forward direction. Recovery requires truth and understanding. Understanding that truth is the treatment for the disease of self-deception. Right thinking revolves around finding and stating the truth. The truth about ourselves and the truth in how we live. Truth is positive. The lie is negative. Living a life of truth propels one into a positive lifestyle, a right way to live. A seeker of truth pushes his recovery to the forefront and subtracts lies from his life's decision making. Recovery requires subtraction.
