This episode is all about vibration. Did you know that you carry a vibrational frequency whether or not you realize it? And, the vibration we carry impacts our perception, our experience and even affects those around us. Vibration is explained as the quality or level of consciousness we embody and can range from dense “3D” to expansive “10D+" consciousness. Lower consciousness is connected to fear, resentment, shame, judgment, and limiting beliefs while higher consciousness expands wisdom, creativity, compassion, and clarity. If your goal is to raise your vibration, Jenni discusses real, practical, and effective strategies to do just that.

It's been said that the greatest challenge of our time is discerning fact from fiction, reality from fantasy, truth from illusion. I couldn't agree more. Times are changing, the world is changing, and I know that you have felt it too. Now more than ever, we need a new way of seeing ourselves and each other. This can absolutely happen when we understand the truth of who we are. When truth is recognized, questions get answered, direction gets clarified, and all of that negative emotion evaporates into peace. Welcome to Truth and Beauty. Because where truth is understood, beauty is revealed. Hello, and welcome to Truth in Beauty. Many years ago, I was attending a conference for therapists. I signed up for a workshop. I have no idea what the title was, but I do remember an activity we were asked to do. We were to find a partner, someone we didn't know, and take turns thinking about a deeply emotional memory. We were not to share or discuss the memory, just to silently remember. I was paired with a gentleman who was sitting next to me. When it was his turn to remember, I began to notice heaviness and a deep ache in my shoulders, back, and arms, something that was not at all present just moments before. At the end of the exercise, he shared his memory. One of his parents had been seriously ill. Living hundreds of miles away, he had to make the long drive throughout the night, all while being worried and uncertain as to what was going on. He also told me that he remembered being painfully uncomfortable as his back and shoulders were aching the entire time. That workshop exercise was meant to prove a point. Energy or vibration can indeed be transmitted between people, quite effortlessly, in fact. But the truth is I've had many other experiences where I've unmistakably resonated with energy coming from someone else. What about you? Have you ever spontaneously felt a certain energy or vibration from another person? Were you ever in the presence of someone that, while there was nothing overtly negative about their words or actions, you could sense their energy was dark or even scary, and maybe you felt a strong urge to leave the area or avoid them? Or perhaps in the opposite way, you met someone who kind of lit you up, that the lightness or joy or love they vibrated seemed to impact you, and during or even after the interaction, you felt lighter or maybe happier. Because energy isn't something that we can see or hear or touch, we usually aren't looking for it or paying much attention to it. But the truth is we are always operating on a certain vibrational or energetic level. Our energetic level not only affects others but also gives evidence to our spiritual awareness and acts as a calling card to what we attract, what we deflect, and how we experience life. Vibration is a word we can use to describe the energetic state that is currently found within each of us. Our vibrational energy is not stagnant. It is always moving, shifting, and it can move from one level to another, quickly even. Just like in the workshop activity, our energy can change by focusing on a specific memory or thought. But our vibrational baseline also gives evidence to where we are spiritually. It can range from being very heavy, dark, dense, all the way to being something light, bright, translucent, and beyond Both of the words energy and vibration suggest a physical phenomena, something to be felt. And it's true, we can often feel our own vibration and the vibration of other people around us. But how do we feel it? Not through touch, right? At least not in most cases. We feel it through something else. The word feel is actually a little misleading. Sense is probably a better word. We sense a particular vibration through our awareness, our primary awareness, the innate wisdom of knowingness that accompanies us always, or in other words, our consciousness. So what is this phenomena that is unseen, unheard, but nevertheless experienced? The most accurate definition of vibration is the quality of consciousness we embody. What is consciousness? Awareness, or what I call primary awareness, the observational state of continuous knowingness and presence. Consciousness is and has always been. Consciousness preceded us into this lifetime and will continue on once our bodies are no longer being used. So our vibration is the quality or level of consciousness we are currently resonating with. We can also experience the quality of consciousness around us through and by our own consciousness. Is that confusing? How about this? We are each operating at a certain level of consciousness, which energetically manifests as our vibration. Our consciousness is part of all other consciousness, which is why we are able to pick up on the level of vibration around us. Remember, our truest nature is consciousness. Consciousness is. But just like the levels of a video game, there are different stages of consciousness, and each level of consciousness opens up a new type of perception that is way beyond what our five senses offer us. The levels of consciousness can be understood as an inverted pyramid with the lowest densest 3D consciousness at the bottom and the greatest, most vast, most evolved 10D plus at the top, where enlightened consciousness extends possibly to infinity. Where we are in the inverted pyramid directly influences both our perception and what we experience. So why does any of this matter? Because, again, our level of consciousness directly influences what we experience. Think about that for a second. Our level of consciousness directly impacts what we experience. It also affects and influences those around us. This is happening whether or not we are paying attention to it. Our emotional state, our nervous system, the wounding and karma we carry all help to determine the level of consciousness we currently embody. While we each have the potential to access the highest levels of consciousness, we are often held back by these things. We are also restricted by the belief systems that are rooted in our human existence to the exclusion of our greater selves. When we allow feelings of fear, resentment, shame, or bitterness to dominate and control us, our consciousness is limited, and our perception follows suit. What we experience is also limited. We don't see the options and opportunities that are actually there. The beauty of the world around us and in us is hidden. As our level of consciousness increases, our perception also increases. We see what we didn't see before. We begin to access a greater perspective. New levels of wisdom, creativity, and compassion unfold. Clarity and understanding dawns So if we have access to different levels of consciousness, how do we move up the ladder? First of all, we need to take a minute to soak in the beautiful truth that we do have the ability to raise our consciousness, raise our vibration. No one is excluded from this, and this is important, no one needs to become someone new. It is not about changing who you are. It is about knowing what is true, which is that our natural state is one of peace, love, wisdom, and worth, and that anything that happens to get in the way of this organic baseline is just an obstacle blocking our vibrational path. But once we make the decision to change our level of consciousness, funny enough, we need to take a breath and fall back. Raising our vibration is both a practice and a process. The goal is not to reach the highest level possible, like getting to the finish line in a marathon, but instead to approach each moment with awareness. The real goal is to be present, to notice every single step you are taking in that twenty-six-mile journey. Raising vibration is also not about dogma. It is not about a set of beliefs that you adhere to or preach. It is not religion. It is about choosing to work at living in a way that allows your true self to shine through the darkness and density of the 3D world. If this is intriguing to you, if you are finding yourself thinking, "This is so cool. I wanna figure this out. I want to increase my consciousness. I want to raise my vibration." If this is you, let's talk about some strategies you can use to do just that. Number one, acceptance and gratitude. These are actually two different things, but are very much connected. Acceptance is about allowing, appreciating the fact that everything that is experienced is happening for a reason, even if it is hard to figure out what that reason is, and then the important fact that none of it is personal. Nothing you experience has anything to do with who you actually are. Judging, blaming, avoiding, and resisting are all aspects of the lowest 3D consciousness. They have always been a part of humanity's struggle. But in our current world, for many of us, it seems like there's been an uptick in societal judgment. Or perhaps more likely, it just isn't as hidden as it once was. When you see or experience divisiveness around you, instead of participating in it, give yourself permission to step back and allow. Participating only lowers your vibration, and I think this is where people get confused, feeling that they should fight for what they believe is right. The thing is, judging, blaming, and shaming is not what's right, even if it isn't the initial intention. If you feel compelled to get involved in an issue and take an action to support someone or help someone or make a difference in a real concrete way, by all means, follow your heart. But if you are finding yourself arguing with people, gossiping about others, or even ruminating about the wrongs of the world in your own mind, reconsider. Instead, try to step back. Allow. All that is happening just is. You don't need to control it And then consciously work at focusing on what is positive and good in your own life and what you see outside of you. Appreciate. Practice gratitude. Try keeping a nightly thankful journal where you write down anything that happened throughout the day that you feel some gratefulness for. Ask yourself, "What is working in my life?" And take a moment of appreciation for whatever this is. This might seem silly or a waste of time, but practicing gratitude is actually a very real and powerful step towards raising your vibration. Next, watch what you consume. Remember the part about our vibration being picked up and affecting others? Yes, we are affected by those around us, the people in the room, as well as the people we watch on TV or follow on social media. Keep in mind that everything influences consciousness. I remember when I was doing my college student teaching practicum at a high school in Milwaukee. My supervisor asked me to create and teach a unit on current events. I actually told her no, which when I think about it today makes me laugh. I remember telling her that I don't like watching the news, and I would appreciate a different topic. Even at 21, basically still a kid, I was sensitive to what felt like the extremely negative bad energy coming from the local news channel. That was over 30 years ago. What is available to us today, I think we would all agree is many, many times worse, and it is present 24/7, not just the 5:00 or 10:00 news. It is literally in our hands almost every minute of the day. Pay attention to what you are consuming, and if it is making you upset, angry, tense, annoyed, choose to disconnect. Change what you watch, what you intellectually and emotionally ingest. Refusing to partake in the societal or political drama does not make you a bad citizen or someone who doesn't care about others. It just means that instead of playing along, you are rising above. Policing others isn't helpful and doesn't create anything positive. If you love social media, view reels and posts that bring you joy, that make you smile, that authentically resonate with you. Music, dancing, sports, puppies, travel, fashion, hiking, whatever it is that you enjoy. Change your algorithm. Three, care for your body. Just because our bodies are temporary doesn't mean we should ignore or even worse, abuse them. They offer us something of true value, and they deserve to be honored. So while it would be nice to get the go-ahead to eat and drink whatever we want while forgetting about exercise, unfortunately, that is not the case. Raising our vibration is also connected to how we treat our bodies. Eat well. Eat mindfully. Drink alcohol in moderation or not at all. Alcohol actually disrupts our spiritual presence. So while I personally believe that there can be a place for enjoying a glass of wine or a cocktail, just like there can be a place for enjoying an ice cream cone or some french fries, be mindful and choose thoughtfully about what and how much you consume. Also, and for someone who has never met a food she didn't like, I say this completely without judgment. The reality is the consumption of animals, particularly those with a nervous system who experience ill-treatment and measurable fear before death, that negative energy gets trapped in the flesh that we eat. It is there. It affects us. I am not saying that you should become vegetarian or vegan, but I do think it is important to at least recognize this truth and in our protein-centered society, consider appreciation and respect for the animals that gave their lives to make ours better We all know the benefits of exercise. If you are not a gym lover, or even if you are, add walking into your life. Not occasionally or a few times a week, but every day. Walking is free and easy. It makes a huge difference to our physical health and our emotional health, and it helps to raise our vibration, specifically when we walk outside. Being in nature raises our vibration. So walking through the neighborhood or at a local park or on a nature trail doubles, maybe triples the benefit. And if for any reason you're not able to walk outside, find a way to sit outside, even for a few minutes each day. So yes, you matter. Your body matters. Taking care of yourself is a concrete, action-oriented strategy that along with all the other benefits will also serve to raise your vibration Meditation. Meditation is also something to seriously consider. I know that many of us find meditation extremely challenging. Meditation to one of my therapy clients, they come back the next week and tell me that they just couldn't do it. This always makes me smile because pretty much everyone has the same experience, especially in the beginning. We are extremely used to operating from our thinking minds. When we are asked to create space, not necessarily to stop thoughts, but rather to see the space behind the thoughts and rest there for a while, it really is a tough ask What does this space even look or feel like? And shouldn't I be doing something more important? Meditation is such a vital practice for raising our vibration, and honestly, for mental health in general, and it certainly deserves more time than this little mention. So I encourage you to do some research and consider adding some form of meditation into your daily routine. I think the easiest way to begin is to download a meditation app or look on YouTube for free guided meditations. Guided meditation serves as a bridge to deeper meditation and is a great way of learning what meditation can feel like, as well as learning how to create a routine around it Another strong strategy for raising vibration is doing for others. You've heard it before. Practice random acts of kindness. Smile more. Commit to smiling at everyone you see. Do some volunteer work, or the next time someone is talking to you, really listen. Connect. Use your energy to make them feel heard. When we give of ourselves to others in an authentic, aligned way, it speaks to our highest nature and reminds us of who we really are okay, I've talked about this next strategy many times before, and it is another big topic that deserves way more than a passing mention. But practicing forgiveness on the daily will a hundred percent increase your vibration and will support you in moving towards higher levels of consciousness. Forgiveness isn't about pretending you aren't angry or hurt or resentful. It's about allowing for whatever feelings and thoughts you have, but then at some point, choosing to forgive whomever or whatever triggered the negative response within you. Then equally important is to forgive yourself for having the thoughts and feelings in the first place. If you really want to master this strategy, it needs to be a daily practice, not an occasional thing. Any time you notice negative thoughts or feelings, it is an opportunity. Even just observing everyday irritations and silly, ornery thoughts with awareness is a great way to start. It builds the same muscle that will be needed to deal with deeper, more painful wounds. I will say that for most of us, it is easier either to ignore or stuff, as we say in the therapy world, our negative or painful feelings, or at the other end of the spectrum, to find comfort in ruminating or regurgitating our hurts and pains. Both keep us stuck in lower levels of consciousness. Instead, allow feelings to come to the surface. Give them time and space to be felt, but then consciously choose to release them, even if the releasing is repeated many times over. While not an overnight process, this practice does offer true and lasting healing and will raise your vibration and ultimately your level of consciousness. And finally, remember your intrinsic worth, which I get is sort of a what came first, the chicken or the egg scenario. If you are struggling with a lower vibration, you are struggling with seeing your intrinsic worth. That is a fact. And when we struggle with seeing our true selves, it can be very challenging to rewrite the narrative. But here is something to try. When you talk to yourself or make choices about your day or bigger choices about your life, pretend that you are your own dearest and most valued friend. Speak accordingly. Do accordingly. Forgive accordingly. Every time you do this, even if it feels a little forced, you are taking a baby step towards a more accurate self-understanding and a greater consciousness. I will leave you with this. One of the lowest vibrations we can carry is the belief that we are fundamentally lacking, broken, or unworthy. One of the highest truths we can remember is that our worth is intrinsic. It is not something we earn. It is something we recognize. As you finish listening and go about your day, I encourage you to ask yourself this question. What state of consciousness have I been living from lately? The truth is, consciousness and all of its infinite vastness is something the overwhelming majority of people on this planet neither fully or really even slightly understand. But here's the thing. We don't need to understand the truth of consciousness in its entirety to benefit from its reality. Notice, observe, question. Where are you now? Where would you like to be? You are light. You are love. You are holy
