To fully explore our conspiratorial times, we revisit the 2006 "masterpiece" The Da Vinci Code, adapted from a Dan Brown novel and directed by Ron Howard.
The film centres on a shadow war between two ancient and secret societies, a Great Awakening that will reshape the world, and solving puzzles hidden in the art we take for granted every day. Remarkably similar to the contemporary QAnon conspiracy theory, we discuss the film in relationship to conspiracy movements, the Catholic Church, COVID-19, and the invention of the Langdoncore genre defined almost entirely by whack style and bad cinematography.
