Exploring police militarization, borders, poverty, gendered violence, the drug war, imperial violence, and the degradation of a rules-based system of law and order, Sicario is a stand-out in recent western cinema. How does it thread the needle between depictions of violence with the allure of fascist asthetics? Why do we live in the Warhammer universe now?
