It's a reflective reinvention of James Bond set against the backdrop of civilian oversight of intelligence agencies, changing gender roles, terrorism, and youngsters using gadgets better than me. Is Skyfall a patriotic ode to institutions in a time of change? How does the film resonate with us today?
