SPEAKER_06Doc and Carolyn Podcast, episode 136, now in progress.
SPEAKER_09Welcome back.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, welcome back. You know what I did? I I took notes. I wrote some stuff down and actually brought it to the studio.
SPEAKER_09What?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, for us to talk about stuff.
SPEAKER_09You're organized?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I know it's weird, but I'm not a real doctor. I just play one on the radio. I have a broadcast background. I was in broadcasting for many years and uh ended up tran I hate saying transitioning. I wanted to.
SPEAKER_09You changed careers.
SPEAKER_06I changed careers and went into policing. I I was a police officer for 25. Long, brutal years.
SPEAKER_09Very brutal.
SPEAKER_06And ended up retiring at the rank of sergeant. And uh what have you done with your life thus far?
SPEAKER_09But right now I'm a nurse practitioner.
SPEAKER_06Nurse practitioning in your new practice, truehealinghealthcare.net. And you're expanding the business. This is exciting. You you're expanding.
SPEAKER_09I'm expanding my services.
SPEAKER_06Your services uh in true key truehealinghealthcare.net. I'm extremely proud of you. And and very sincerely I want to say that we were running uh this morning. And if you know, and and I and I wanted to talk a little bit about your practice, and I'm just kind of following you and and your uh application of functional medicine to your own life because you were sick years ago before you went, you know, visited a nurse practitioner and got on the functional medicine thing and got your gut together and all that. We went out this morning and we do uh uh we go out and work out together on days that Carolyn is home uh instead of having to go save lives at uh urgent care. But we went out this morning and we ran and we have some pretty the you know the distances aren't that great. It's maybe an eighth of a mile, but it's uphill.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Part of our It's way uphill, it feels like.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, part part of our trek when we're out. And you, girlfriend, you you really um I mean, just step for step, uh hung with me uh this time. And I'm not a great runner, but you know, I I'd kind of learned to run in the police academy, so I just been running a lot longer than me. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, and and but the thing, you wouldn't even there was a time when you really were not able to climb that hill walking. I mean, is that don't don't you think that's pretty good?
SPEAKER_09No, I could climb it, but I would be really out of breath.
SPEAKER_06And really irritable.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Me? Irritable? No.
SPEAKER_06But today, I mean, you were just there step for step for step. And I I I don't I'm extremely proud of you because I know how how did you feel doing it?
SPEAKER_09Because Oh, I thought I was gonna die.
SPEAKER_06I th I think it's amazing. I it's it's just your night and day. And I was gonna tell you on my end of things, 65-year-old version of me today would run rings around the 40-year-old version of myself.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I was thinking yesterday that this version of me at 55 is much healthier than I was in my 30s.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and that's the that's my 40s. That's the thing. I mean, it it's and it's counterintuitive because what you do, I I didn't do anything major. There were no major changing our diet. Uh was that that wasn't a major thing. We just had, and and especially for me, I've just kind of incrementally started to add better stuff and then Right.
SPEAKER_09So when you add better stuff, you're too full to eat the bad stuff. Right. But it's not always simple for people, and and because it is a not some big life-altering thing, people don't really think it makes a difference. And it doesn't in a week. Yeah, you know, it takes time.
SPEAKER_06My friend Bob L of um L Farm in Ohio used to say that nature is slow.
SPEAKER_09Yes, nature is slow, but and the synthetic things can change things quickly, but they're not healing anything.
SPEAKER_06They're just so the underlying stuff is still right.
SPEAKER_09They're just hiding your symptoms, they're not fixing what caused it to begin with.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So tell us about this expansion of true healinghealthcare.net.
SPEAKER_09So we're going to be doing bio-identical hormones. Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_06I don't even know what that is.
SPEAKER_09Well, you've heard of hormone replacement therapy. Kind of. I mean so there are synthetic hormones that doctors will write you. And I just learned that 80% of doctors, nurse practitioners, PAs who were asked did not feel comfortable even discussing hormones with their patients. And I'm gonna tell you the truth that I'm one of them. It was just never my thing.
SPEAKER_06As a practitioner, it was never your thing. Right. Why?
SPEAKER_09Um Well, because I don't do women's health and or I've not done women's health.
SPEAKER_06And so I've never I'm trying to think of um of a conversation maybe we had about it. We didn't talk about it, or you didn't talk to me about it. What what what flip for you? What what might what made you decide to?
SPEAKER_09Well, there's a need for it. I prefer that you help regulate your hormones with the food and lifestyle changes. But some people just feel so crummy that they're they can't wait and they're miserable, and so I've had patients just ask me if I would start doing it.
SPEAKER_06If my thinking about what hormones are is correct, it's naturally occurring substances for in the world.
SPEAKER_09Right, like um estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, okay, cortisol is a hormone.
SPEAKER_06So so what are bioidentical hormones? Why are they different?
SPEAKER_09There are different kinds of hormones. They're synthetic, they make hormones for humans that they take from horses. And what makes bioidentical different is that they are identical molecularly to the hormones that you have in your body. So they don't cause all the same side effects.
SPEAKER_06So each each person would have almost a tailored hormones for their for the for for their individual needs?
SPEAKER_09Yes, there are compounding pharmacies that can put the dosage for each hormone that you need into one dose.
SPEAKER_06Has that been along for around for a long time?
SPEAKER_09Um you know, I had an appointment when we lived in Ohio with a doctor and I considered getting them, and I wish that I would have because it would have saved me a lot of illness.
SPEAKER_06Oh wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_09Because if your hormones are imbalanced, it can cause um chronic illness.
SPEAKER_06When will these expanded services be available for everybody?
SPEAKER_09Um, I'm thinking I should be done in about eight to ten weeks.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so that's coming soon. Yeah. And of course, here on the podcast, this is not medical advice because you aren't seeing and evaluating and assessing anybody.
SPEAKER_09Absolutely. It's just educational purposes only. I'm Carolyn Kilgore, founder and provider at TrueHealing Healthcare.net.
SPEAKER_06Why functional medicine?
SPEAKER_09Because you're more than just a list of symptoms. Traditional care often masks the problem, but functional medicine digs deeper to find the root cause.
SPEAKER_06What makes True Healing Healthcare different?
SPEAKER_09We move away from the one size fits all approach. We look at your environment and your lifestyle to create a roadmap tailored specifically for you.
SPEAKER_06What if someone really wants to make a change?
SPEAKER_09If you're tired of feeling fine and want to start feeling great, it's about proactive wellness, not just reactive treatment.
SPEAKER_06What's the deal with telemedicine?
SPEAKER_09As long as you're 18 and have an internet connection, you can have a visit in the privacy of your own home or anywhere else in Texas. We're able to order labs or prescribe or whatever else you need.
SPEAKER_06True Healing Healthcare.net for the great state of Texas.
SPEAKER_10The Locke Carlin Podcast!
SPEAKER_06I want to thank uh our world. I want to thank our listeners around the world for for listening to our little podcast here. We have uh last five episodes new listeners in the United States. Okay. What? Yeah, and Japan and Argentina and Chile. That's so awesome. Also, we have new listeners in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, uh Osaka. That was Japan, Osaka, Japan.
SPEAKER_09Osaka.
SPEAKER_06And uh the UK. So nice to have you aboard. So cryptocurrency, we forgot last week to to talk about it. We promised that every week we would give you um and and at least a price. And last week we forgot, and I checked, it was 59.7.
SPEAKER_09Oh.
SPEAKER_06Last week. And as I look at my trusty watch, it's 61,000 right now.
SPEAKER_09So it's moving in the right direction. Yeah, it popped up today.
SPEAKER_06Popped up about 5%. Um Sony Corporation has officially announced that it will cease the production of physical game discs for all new PlayStation titles starting in January of 2028. So the change takes effect for all new games released in January of 2028. Games released before this date will continue to be supported as physical discs. A digital-only future is coming. New titles, new titles for for the PlayStation will be available exclusively through the PlayStation store or digital retailers. While the new games will no longer come on discs, they will be sold at physical retail stores in digital-only formats, such as download codes in a box.
SPEAKER_09One more thing bites the physical dust.
SPEAKER_06So listen to me. So if you are a gamer, get one of your games, if you're near one of your cartridges, one of your discs for your Xbox or your or your PlayStation, pick that bad boy up and hold it in your hand. Hold it in your left hand. Now in your right hand, put a dollar bill.
SPEAKER_09Both gonna be on. Poof. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06They're both going to disappear. This is not financial advice, not even close. It's uh let me check the uh check the price. Oh wow, it just dipped.
SPEAKER_09We we did have uh one investment that did that was a huge risk. Why do you have to bring that? That did really bad. So I'm still good with this for now.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, copy that too.
SPEAKER_09We won't discuss that one.
SPEAKER_02Welcome to this Kingdom Minute with your host, Kimberly Blakes on the Doc and Carolyn podcast. So I was just scrolling Facebook and I saw where Sonny Hoston from The View just said something uh outrageous once again. I I really do think that they do this for views and to stay relevant, but they are irrelevant because all they are doing is pushing anger and victimhood. So she said, because of the effects of slavery, that many blacks cannot get a driver's license or buy a car. That is a lie from the pit of hell. I've had a state ID from the time I was 15 years old, no, 14, because I was trying to get a job. But these are the haves telling the have nots that they cannot have it. Imagine that. They got it, these people are black. Whoopi Goldberg is probably one of the blackest women I've ever seen. And she's sitting there on TV every day pushing victimhood. Michelle Obama sat in the White House, a black woman, and all she talks about is being a victim. And she's not a victim. She wasn't even raised poor. But yet and still, these people use this so that they can keep their voter bases in line so that they can stay in power. But because they have lost hold of that power, they are pulling out all the stops, and they are lying right to people's faces. And this is why you have to get your identity from the word of God. Can't nobody else tell you who you are except for the being that made you, that created you, and that will be God. God is the creator, and he can tell you what your use is. And when you get into that use and you flow in that use, you are unstoppable. Thank you for tuning in to this Kingdom Minute with your host, Kimberly Blakes, on the Doc and Carolyn podcast. You can find me on Facebook at Kimberly Blakes, and I also have a podcast called The Faith Frame Perspective. I'll see you guys there.
SPEAKER_06We've we've done a show about this before, about Operation Mockingbird. We have and MK Ultra.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, and I mean I've been hearing about it for a long time, but I've always also heard that you're a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy. Conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theorists, if you believed it. Well, they're having hearings.
SPEAKER_06They have that they're having another set of congressional hearings because there is a lot of speculation and suspicion that they're back at it. That that some element within the government is back at it.
SPEAKER_09I have no doubt. And because people can't, people aren't born this stupid.
SPEAKER_01This sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it really happened. The CIA's top secret experiments that sought to gain control over people's minds. Fox News Mike Emanuel has a story.
SPEAKER_00This hearing is about the crimes committed by the Central Intelligence Agency against the American citizens and the decades of secrecy used to conceal them.
SPEAKER_05Congress shining a spotlight on one of the most notorious chapters in the history of the CIA. MK Ultra disseased research and experiments in the 50s and 60s with mind control.
SPEAKER_01MK Ultra was one of the most secret government programs in American history.
SPEAKER_04The ability to seize the control of a person's perceptions, memories, and ultimately their behavior.
SPEAKER_05Historian Stephen Kinzer says the CIA chemists behind the operations sought out, quote, expendables in foreign countries to use for experiments.
SPEAKER_01Human beings who would not be missed if they disappeared. What amounted to a license to kill, issued by the U.S. government.
SPEAKER_05Kinzer says the U.S. was willing to do anything it could to gain an upper hand during the Cold War. Ultimately, the CIA labeled MK Ultra a failure, but that may not be the end of the story. The program officially came to a close in the 1970s, and the files associated with it destroyed. But whether or not it really ended then and there, well, that depends on who you ask.
SPEAKER_06That's right. I mean, that's we we really did kind of want to make that point that it's that it's odd. And and you must have people like this in in your family as a listener. Somebody that their belief system is is rooted on fantasy. They they you know, they're they're believing things like um I don't know, not not just the biological stuff. I mean, but but even if you question COVID, I mean, we know now that gain of function was that that came out this week also, that gain of function that Dr. Anthony Fauci actually did fund the research, not just for one lab, the Wuhan lab, but they funded research for 30 different labs uh around the country, around the world. Also in Ukraine. So there isn't hear the Ukraine one. Yeah, yeah. Um, that's a big part of it. So there is so much happening in the world that it has uh I don't know. It it just and plus with the release of this new you know, Steven Spielberg movie. Have you have you been hearing people talk about disclosure? No. And they're yeah, disclosure is the new uh Steven Spielberg movie, and he's saying that if it, you know, if you see this movie, it'll make you doubt your faith in Jesus, and they're propagating the idea that aliens are the origin of mankind and not good grief, not Yeshua. So it has been difficult to stay grounded in the truth because we're getting we're getting bombarded with with fake information and misinformation, and and again with that Operation Mockingbird thing with MK Ultra, and I don't know how much you know about MK Ultra in the first place. I think I mentioned that earlier, but um they would, and this has been all documented, like I said, they're doing congressional hearings now, but this all came out, a lot of the records were destroyed, but it came out that to see the effects of LSD, for example, on individuals and to be able to observe it, they were going, they would have agents go into say a local bar and befriend somebody that's sitting having a drink a drink, kind of isolate them and slip them some LSD and just watch and just take notes and just watch how they would react.
SPEAKER_09And that is so unethical and evil that if I listened to this podcast 15 years ago, I would have thought you needed a trip to the nut hut.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and and we've we talk about this all the time. I mean, even even with with Fauci and the COVID thing, it's it's impossible. I shouldn't say impossible, but to me it's very difficult to ascribe that kind of evil to a person. I mean, how many people died from COVID? If you if so are you so are we suggesting that through the gain of function research that this lab uh deliberately enhanced this virus and then it escaped? Or the worst theory is that it that it was uh released intentionally.
SPEAKER_09At this point, I'm kind of feeling that way.
SPEAKER_06You really are? Yeah.
SPEAKER_09And it's not only the people who died from COVID, now the people who have died from the from the vaccine. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. And they're in some of these pharmaceutical companies are trying to keep record sealed for almost a hundred years.
SPEAKER_09Right.
SPEAKER_06So vaccine injury and these are supposed to go to prison. So Sunday morning, we are very early, we get a call from uh dear friend of ours. He's a police officer, retired police officer, good friend of mine. He's been on the show before. This brother uh officer, uh who whom I mean I I trust him with my life. I mean, we worked in the same district. We've been uh in some very, very tight spots together uh on the job.
SPEAKER_09So and he's just a very kind and genuine person.
SPEAKER_06He is as smart as a whip. He he's just just just a great guy. But he begins to break down to me um his journey. He went to uh religious schools from the time he was in kindergarten through high school and even some some post-high school um uh seminary study, kind of. But through all of that, through kindergarten, through middle school, through high school, then post-high school, he never opened the Bible, never, never read the school scripture was not learning from scripture was not part of the curriculum. I don't I'm not quite sure about that. Do you remember because you were there, we had him on speaker. Did I ask him?
SPEAKER_09But I I wasn't listening to your whole conversation, but um but I don't think you did ask him that. But it was just that was kind of shocking.
SPEAKER_06But that's common, but think about it. That that's fairly common. I mean, yeah, for for most people, most people are are people of faith. People believe in the idea of Jesus, they believe in the creator, but in terms of picking up the this that that book and reading it and actually reading it, it's and and the and the thing is you can't read it like a novel. You can't open it up like your favorite uh novella and start just going through it, you know, and and read it like a book. It's you know what scripture says about itself is that it is living and powerful. Um, something that's that's given uh supernatural living uh spiritual nutrition for human beings. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_09That's why you can read the same th thing over and over and you get something different out of it.
SPEAKER_06Something out of it, right? With the weird state of things that now truth has become completely subjective.
SPEAKER_09Right.
SPEAKER_06You know, uh you can you can believe whatever you want, and I can believe whatever I want, and we go our separate ways with our own truths, and you know, that is so there is no foundational floor of truth. There actually is, but in the the culture would suggest otherwise. So we decided that we would, for the sake of people, and and that my testimony is that when I first got saved, and this goes back many years, I got saved into a church where the pastor, my first day at church, said, Where's your Bible? And um I don't think I had one. I just go, hey, I'm I'm a church, I'm ready to you know hear the word or whatever. And I ended up buying a uh buying a Bible, and he ended up saying, uh, read it. I said, read it, read read it. What do you what do you what are you suggesting? And yeah, and he said, Yeah, start in Genesis and and and just go. If he said, whatever you have problems with, whatever you don't understand, he said there will be a lot that you won't understand, but start with just start reading it. So I did, and over time, over over the course of uh probably a couple of years, I read uh the the the Bible from front to back twice. And that was many years ago. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to play the audio Bible. We're going to play Revelation, all of Revelation, starting in verse 1, chapter 1, verse 1, and uh take it from there. We did want to give a brief overview though, a little bit of a synopsis about what the book of Revelation is, according to scholars, 19 approximately 30 years old. So this document is a couple thousand years old. We're using the NIV, the New International Version, and we're using that one not in favor of any other. It's just one that we can all understand. But we're just gonna let it play. The overarching message of chapter one, verse one of Revelation is one of immense comfort despite the intense persecution the early church is facing and the isolation John was experiencing. The church is never abandoned, Jesus is actively walking among his people, holding their leaders in his hand, and ultimately reigning in absolute sovereignty. So without Let's go to chapter one, verse one.
SPEAKER_03The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. John to the seven churches that are in Asia, grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth, to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos, on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet saying, Write what you see in a book, and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea. Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, Fear not, I am the first and the last and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and Hades. Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are, and those that are to take place after this. As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
