Alexithymia by Jodi Lamanna
Some call it sorrow,
grief,
sadness.
Not me.
Blocked in word, in thought,
it howls and claws,
sinks teeth into flesh
unable to express
the truth
behind a face
impassive.
...
Alexithymia, meaning “no words for emotions.” Alexithymia
presents challenges in recognising and describing one’s emotions.
