Hi, my name is Jonathan Kant, and I live and ride on Gadigal Country in Sydney. This poem is from my new book, Finding Pan, from Five Islands Press. Go go. I fly west in a rocket 88. I take the open road, Route 66, my freedom ride. I'd escaped from AA, just enough cash for Mexican XX. On the highway, Illinois to La La Land with its tanned band of sand, where can can dances in cages do time in sing sing. Such a fang. Wish I could have seen JJ Cale play cocaine or those Texans, Z Z Top. Headline at the whiskey Agogo in Wiho on a goslow. Ain't so so. Ah, the clear waters of Bora Bora. Take me there or give me Loma Loma. Catch the seaplane back to Savu Savu. Leave Vanualivu to write bang bang headlines, eat fur soup and sip cold barbar beer on old Saigon Boulevards. Didi out of there, and home to Mama Curl Curl. Or south to ski powder at Mount Borbore. Or north to ride the cane train at Blybly. I have kin there, but no kin in Kinkin. Never never seen the lights at Min Min.
