00:02:15.360 estate brokage um but there I started to
00:02:18.440 learn more about the real estate
00:02:20.040 industry and I got to see agents just in
00:02:22.599 their day-to-day you know lives and I
00:02:25.080 was like o I think I could be a real
00:02:26.599 estate agent this looks fun um so I
00:02:29.000 ended up getting my license and decided
00:02:31.160 that's what I wanted to do I wanted to
00:02:32.519 be a real estate agent but I really
00:02:34.239 didn't know what it entailed I was at a
00:02:36.800 small brokerage so um I didn't quite
00:02:40.080 understand that you were going to be you
00:02:41.800 know generating your own leads and door
00:02:44.519 knocking and cold calling was a big part
00:02:46.200 of the business um so I moved to St Pete
00:02:50.560 after college and started career in real

00:03:53.079 liked marketing so that's what I did um
00:03:56.079 and I started actually generating leads
00:03:58.040 through Instagram which was awesome
00:03:59.799 started seeing some business there it
00:04:01.239 was starting to grow but at the same
00:04:03.200 time I was also realizing that I hated
00:04:04.920 real estate I hated conflict and having
00:04:07.640 to answer the phone all the time um so I
00:04:13.599 like at that all that was happening at
00:04:15.239 the same time other real estate agents
00:04:17.000 started reaching out and asking me um

00:04:53.000 clients get um a weekly workout program

00:04:58.520 it kind of clicked for me like oh wait I
00:05:00.759 think I could do this for like my client
00:05:03.360 so I just started building this website

00:05:37.600 an agent uh did you realize that it was
00:05:40.360 going to be a full-time thing or did it

00:05:48.240 definitely just a side hustle I remember

00:08:16.000 you know world of it all the time I feel

00:08:19.879 time it was like you're so you log into
00:08:22.639 people's accounts and you like post for
00:08:24.840 them and and you're like yeah you know
00:08:27.919 um so it's kind of like an everything

00:08:33.479 getting at that is that I was like I
00:08:34.719 don't know who to really talk to about
00:08:37.760 this um but yeah so I would say reach

00:08:44.080 trust your gut and just like do what

00:09:39.360 a little different like nowadays videos
00:09:41.600 are huge obviously reals are huge back
00:09:44.399 then it was like Graphics were pretty
00:09:46.600 big um and that was like a way that you
00:09:50.600 could build a
00:09:51.800 community um so I started on Instagram
00:09:54.519 with like just creating Graphics that I
00:09:56.240 liked and posting them and connecting
00:09:57.959 with other agents
00:09:59.680 um through Instagram and building that
00:10:02.880 community and engaging with them asking
00:10:05.560 like what they wanted uh what they
00:10:07.959 needed what they were struggling with
00:10:10.440 and kind of building out our offer based
00:10:14.480 on that like and in the beginning our
00:10:16.760 coffee and contract started like it was
00:10:19.440 just you sign up for the subscription
00:10:20.959 and there was just like a bunch of
00:10:22.120 random templates that I made in there
00:10:23.839 and the plan was like I'm just going to
00:10:25.240 add more every month um and then I added
00:10:28.680 some C
00:10:29.920 like one of the first months and
00:10:31.519 everybody was like that was amazing we
00:10:33.480 want more of those and I was like oh
00:10:35.160 maybe I should do like a daily caption
00:10:37.160 in a daily social media post and then
00:10:39.519 from there so they kind of gave me the
00:10:41.200 feedback that like made the product I
00:10:43.079 guess but it started with the Community
00:10:44.760 First so now that's what I I feel like

00:10:50.160 or whatever it is starting with the

00:10:55.240 like kind of an idea and you're not
00:10:56.480 really sure what it's going to be yet

00:12:49.519 just like if if you get too deep into
00:12:51.440 that into like looking at other people

00:12:57.480 Oh my gosh look at all the amazing
00:12:58.519 things they're doing like I suck and
00:13:00.480 then yeah on the other hand also a
00:13:04.120 really big thing for me has been trying
00:13:06.240 to manage a team and like hiring people
00:13:09.360 and um I feel like that has definitely
00:13:12.959 been just like I mean that's kind of all
00:13:15.360 goes into like my own personal
00:13:17.279 development and growth uh I feel like
00:13:20.440 it's gotten easier as I like you know
00:13:22.519 obviously as I grow and learn and stuff
00:13:24.880 but I guess it's all it's all kind of
00:13:26.839 coming back to like just remembering
00:13:28.560 that like nobody knows what they're
00:13:30.040 doing and I'm literally just figuring it

00:13:35.519 time yep I mean it's not even been that
00:13:38.120 long and you've built such an incredible
00:13:39.440 company so obviously you've been very
00:13:41.480 consistent even if it felt like Peaks
00:13:43.519 and valleys which everything does like
00:13:45.160 life is Peaks and valleys but um the
00:13:47.880 consistency is my takeaway from what you
00:13:50.240 just described that's for sure uh so how
00:13:52.519 does one even figure out what to PR I
00:13:55.759 know that pricing and packaging and all
00:13:57.279 that can be kind of taboo to talk about
00:13:58.480 but we're not about taboo topics here we
00:14:00.600 talk about everything exactly um how how
00:14:03.040 does one even determine what what to
00:14:05.199 charge for a service like this it's
00:14:07.600 really hard especially even thinking
00:14:09.800 about when I did social media management
00:14:11.759 that was so hard to figure out what to
00:14:13.839 price or what to charge people um and
00:14:16.759 there's so many different methods that
00:14:18.160 people use for that and so when I
00:14:21.360 started I had no idea what to price
00:14:23.759 things I literally I don't even know how
00:14:25.480 I came up with it I just was like
00:14:28.199 there's going to be three tiers because
00:14:30.000 I think there like with these types of
00:14:31.839 businesses there has to be three tiers
00:14:33.920 so we're going to have the small one
00:14:35.240 which is I decided it was $9 a month $14
00:14:38.560 a month and then $19 a month and I just
00:14:41.160 and there was no like method to that so
00:14:43.920 yeah I had no I I just had no idea what
00:14:46.160 I was doing and then but then I realized
00:14:49.639 once I launched everybody signed up for
00:14:51.560 the $19 a month nobody signed up for the
00:14:54.040 smaller packages I just don't think
00:14:56.040 there was enough in there like there was
00:14:58.279 no Val value in the smaller ones even
00:15:00.480 though I was I don't know so $19 a month
00:15:03.040 then I decided a few months later um
00:15:07.360 maybe like I launched in September of
00:15:09.160 2019 in Spring of 2020 I decided to
00:15:12.079 raise the prices to $34 a month and I
00:15:15.279 decided that everyone who signed up at
00:15:17.199 $19 a month could be grandfathered in
00:15:20.199 and um just like the ogs you know yeah
00:15:23.639 um so we moved everyone to 34 or not we
00:15:25.880 didn't move everyone it now was $34 a
00:15:28.199 month and um and that price felt really
00:15:31.399 good for a while and also keep in mind I
00:15:33.519 was adding more and more value like in
00:15:36.680 to the membership it was just like we
00:15:38.240 kept adding things so it kept being more
00:15:40.560 things that people are getting access to
00:15:43.120 um and then like I think it was about a
00:15:45.519 year or so later decided to raise the
00:15:47.600 price to $54 a month and everyone who
00:15:49.839 was at $34 a month was grandfathered in
00:15:51.959 at $34 a month um and it's been 54 for
00:15:56.560 quite a while now I feel like I kind of
00:15:58.240 settled on that price and I feel like
00:15:59.759 it's a good price um yeah but Pro tip if
00:16:02.399 you want to sign up do it now because be
00:16:05.560 grandfathered in exactly so maybe that's
00:16:07.680 kind of what's working is people are
00:16:08.720 like I got to get in now yeah um but I
00:16:12.839 so but now looking back if I could have
00:16:15.120 told myself if I was having a
00:16:17.519 conversation with myself when I was
00:16:18.880 trying to figure out what to price it I
00:16:20.360 would have been like price it high you
00:16:22.360 know CU it's it's hard to people were
00:16:25.319 not happy even though like people were
00:16:27.759 being grandfathered in they would email
00:16:30.120 us and be like infuriated and we'd be
00:16:32.759 like you're going to be grandfathered in
00:16:34.360 everything is fine and they' be like
00:16:35.680 okay yeah but people get very upset when
00:16:37.880 you raise the price obviously sure so
00:16:40.680 it's much easier to start high and then
00:16:43.399 always run if it's too high just have a
00:16:46.839 sale have a sale yeah like promotions
00:16:50.199 are that yeah yeah and you can always go
00:16:52.560 down on the price um but it's much
00:16:54.839 harder it's much easier to go down than
00:16:56.639 it is to go up so if I could go back to
00:16:58.639 myself but also I still didn't feel like
00:17:01.279 the value was there for I wouldn't have
00:17:05.000 priced it at $54 a month back then right
00:17:07.640 it got there um but also don't be afraid
00:17:10.079 to raise your prices like I feel like I
00:17:11.599 could have done it earlier um so yeah do
00:17:15.839 you do you I guess we've talked about
00:17:18.679 like the the consumer that you're adding
00:17:20.439 value to and that makes a ton of sense

00:17:25.079 pitching copying contracts or when you
00:17:27.480 have pitched copy contracts are you
00:17:29.480 having those conversations with
00:17:31.280 investors or I know this is self-funded
00:17:33.320 but like how do you think about pitching
00:17:35.799 the value of your brand and being really
00:17:37.640 crispy and concise on like the value
00:17:40.120 prop the mission statement all of the
00:17:41.760 things that one who's going to invest in
00:17:43.679 the business or you know I don't know
00:17:45.520 that would potentially want to partner
00:17:46.640 with you care about like how do you
00:17:48.440 think about getting really tight on
00:17:51.320 representing your brand when you're
00:17:52.559 talking to a partner an investor anybody
