Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Marty is the CEO of Verdagy, a green hydrogen electrolyzer company based in Moss Landing, California. Verdagy is seeking to fundamentally change the way industrial-scale hydrogen is produced to massively decarbonize the most difficult sectors of our global economy. Today almost all hydrogen is produced using a reforming process which creates 10X more CO2 than hydrogen. Verdagy is developing electrolyzer technology that will fundamentally change this equation and produce economically attractive green hydrogen at an industrial scale.
As CEO of Verdagy, Marty’s commitment to addressing climate change is evident in his extensive career – spending the last fifteen years in the clean energy industry working to make solar and now hydrogen the lowest cost, most economic, and most sustainable choice globally. He is a passionate advocate for the transition to a sustainable, circular economy to eliminate the concept of waste.

In this episode, Marty, the CEO of Verdagy, articulates his unwavering commitment to addressing climate change through a distinguished fifteen-year career in the clean energy industry. Focused on making solar and hydrogen the globally preferred, economically viable, and most sustainable choices, Marty shares his leadership philosophy, the prevailing culture at Verdagy, and the company's overarching mission to facilitate a sustainable, circular economy.
Marty's leadership approach is underscored by an optimistic mindset, where mistakes are viewed as valuable learning opportunities, and challenges are seen as avenues for making a meaningful difference. Drawing inspiration from principles instilled by Toyota, Marty emphasizes the transformative potential of a collective narrative that positions work as an opportunity for positive global impact.

Verdagy places a premium on a purpose-driven culture, prioritizing employee welfare, fostering meaningful relationships, and facilitating continuous growth and learning.
Sustainability, according to Marty, involves Verdagy's pursuit of catalyzing a greener tomorrow, particularly within the context of heavy industrial applications. The primary objectives revolve around reducing LCOH and CO2 emissions while amplifying hydrogen output
The alignment of ESG goals with Verdagy's values is underscored by Marty's emphasis on employee reflection on their individual and collective purpose. Acknowledging the urgency of climate change, Marty shares that the Verdagy team is motivated by the potential impact of the company's technology. The cultivation of an "owner's mindset" is paramount, encouraging employees to recognize their role in advancing decarbonization solutions and leveraging all resources to fulfill the company's potential.
