Welcome to the Wealth Within Podcast. I'm your host, Lonzea, and every conversation we have here is designed to elevate your perspective and support your growth with no judgment. Today I'm gonna start this episode with scripture because this one really hit me on so many different levels recently and I just need to share it. This is Genesis 1 and 11, and this is the KJV version specifically because other versions don't say it like this one. And God said, Let the herb bring forth the grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind. The whole seed is in itself upon the earth and it was so and the earth brought forth the grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, the whole seed was in itself after his kind, and God saw that it was good. I've always tried to study the Bible in uh new living translation, the NLT version, because the King James version has always been hard for me to understand. But this year I am studying King James. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I know that I've struggled with imposter syndrome before. And this really gave me a new perspective on my confidence, and I really do want the same for you. If you're having a moment of uncertainty, if you're feeling a little staggered about your goals, games, and assignments, I'm gonna share how this works changed my mind and my perspective about me feeling ready enough to go after the life that I desire. Okay, so let's break this down. There is three layers. And one thing when you read the Bible, it's not just what you read in plain sight. It is always it always means something deeper. In this text, we have grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit tree yielding fruit. So for the grass, that's gonna represent the basic vegetation, the actual grass that we have in the world, but that also represents provision, provision over our life. Um for herb yielding seed, that represents the plants that reproduce and continue life as we do, because he told us to be fruitful and multiply. For fruit tree yielding fruit, that is gonna represent mature life that not only grows but produces something beneficial. And when it says after his kind, that means each thing reproduces according to its nature. So, for example, an apple tree makes apples, not oranges, a lemon tree makes lemons, not lime. There is order, identity, and consistency in creation. Take a second to digest that because as we know that we are made in the image of Him as well, and we are all we are also gifted with seeds within us. When it says whose seed is in itself, that means the ability to multiply was built inside whatever God created. Have y'all even ever asked y'all self what seeds are being planted? Because I haven't, and that was my next question after reading that. What came to me was whatever is planted in our minds, our hearts, our habits, what are is what our spirit tends to reproduce. So, for example, if you carry the spirit of fear, you're gonna be reproducing doubt. If you carry the spirit of confidence, you're gonna be reproducing bold actions. If you carry wisdom and you're constantly looking for ways to add to it, you're gonna get wise outcomes. If you have the seed of discipline, you're always gonna come out with results. So basically, our seeds, literally, what's planted on the inside of us, just like the tree, becomes our harvest. Take a moment to just ask yourself, what are you planning? What are you currently planning in your life? What are you currently planning in your mind, in your heart? How is that showing up in your life? How is that showing up in your relationship? How is that showing up at work? How is that showing up with your self-love journey? How is that showing up for you? Is it beneficial or is it holding you back? This is a prime time to evaluate that because I believe there's a shift happening just in the world, period. People are just not settled, and not like that, but like the lives our parents live, the lives our grandparents live. It seems to me that we all want something different. So it's very important to distinguish and identify. Until you gotta take the time out to see what is going on, like what is within me, what's what's working on my behalf. After we tend to those seeds that may not be that beneficial to us, we have to focus on what's there for us to nurture and develop. So just as the tree has seeds within itself, we carry gifts, ideas, talent, vision, purpose already within us. That means all while we are going after the results in life, we have to continue to develop the current seeds to bring forth our desired outcome. For example, we might want wealth, but we're ignoring skill building. We might want more confidence, but we're feeding self-doubt. We might want more peace, but we're planting and engaging in chaos. We might want more influence, but we are avoiding growth. And that comes down to some of what we're praying for, just may need to be developed from within us. For example, when I was 18 years old, God began to deal with me and show me that I was making money an idol in my life. I was very much self-centered, very much self-reliant. I was going nowhere fast. I was like the epitome of by any means necessary when it came down to my money, not getting any sleep, not ever praying about anything that I was doing. And it got to a point where so much bad stuff started happening to me. And now I know that was because I was out of his will for my life, but it took all those series of events for me to get to a point where I did pray about it, and I was like, okay, well, what do I do? Because when I got this to I got this to pay, and I'm not making enough. So how do I be honorable about the way that I'm going about it? And the whole time I was going after money, and I didn't even have the capacity to hold the wealth that I thought I was going after. My mind wasn't in the right place, I had no patience, I was not relying on God, not even using my gifts. He tells us that our gifts will make room for us, but I wasn't even spending enough time with myself to understand what I was good at. I was just going off exhaustion and vibes, honestly. But now at this point in life, where I am today, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, even physically, is the result of everything that I've been through. So who I am today really does give definition to my past. It has helped me to reframe all that I thought was bad into oh, I needed that to happen, which is a great place to be in because now I am the type of woman that has the capacity to be in alignment with the wealth that I see and be in alignment with the with the habits it takes to get there, which leads me to the next point of embracing the process, because what we consistently plant and nurture becomes what we live. I heard this quote before, I don't I might have even been before I had my baby. Of what you do every day is your child's childhood, and that's also the same for us, though, because what we do every day is our life, as crazy and simple as it sounds, our reality right now can be what we need it to be, as long as we're constantly shifting our habits, our mindset, our perspective to be the person that has the capacity to live that type of life, then we can have it, you know, we can have it now. I feel like a lot of times we put it off as if, oh, one day I'm gonna be able to do this, or I'm gonna start doing this one day. But you can literally start now and be closer than you were two weeks ago. You get what I mean? We don't have to keep putting off what we want. It's not a certain amount of money that you can make right now that'll help you be that person. It's not a certain type of apartment or house that you need to live in to be the person that you desire to be, it's not a degree that you have to have. That's it's nothing in your way but what you believe in the seeds that you have within you that's stopping you from shifting into that new level of life. If you have the vision, you are continuously working on uprooting the bad seeds and watering and nourishing and developing the good seed, and you believe in what you're doing, and slowly but surely as you do the work, you will start to believe that it's possible, and you will start to shift, and that's the identity chain, and then it'll make more sense of why you don't need nothing else because in that moment where your identity shifts, you'll start to take the aligned action, you'll feel it, it's an overwhelming feeling when there's something inside of you that you just want to do, you love to do. Maybe it's not your main job, maybe it's something on the side, but you feel like this is my thing for me. The podcast, I was in my head for so long about the podcast. One of my biggest insecurities is my voice. And the when I put out the podcast, I was so nervous and I talked myself out of it so many times that the like a couple of years ago, and as soon as I dropped it, the biggest thing people tell me is that I have the perfect voice for a podcast. I had to get out of my own way. I had to spend that time with myself to realize this is a gift, and if you don't use it, you're probably gonna lose it. You know what I mean? And it was it wasn't until that point where I started to make decisions to align with this vision. That gave me a level of fulfillment that I probably wouldn't have gotten doing anything else. Not to say that there aren't any other gifts, but if I didn't believe that I could take a chance on myself. Which brings me to another hidden gem in this scripture. In this scripture, it tells us that God said, and let the earth bring it forth, the grass and everything. But God is the one who made the command. So even with divine intention, it often still works through natural processes, and that's why we have to understand that we're not behind. We all have our own relationship with God, and we have and we're in different stages of our growth, but we always have to remind ourselves not to compare because it's really on us at the end of the day. He gave us the vision, but you still have to go through the steps to develop yourself personally, develop your gifts, develop your mindset, all those things. You have to be a person, you have to start that journey of becoming the person that gets to receive the vision. So, in the event that you find yourself in a season where you feel like you're lacking clarity, vision, or the discipline to keep going, remind yourself of the dream life because you're actively creating. Ask yourself, how bad do you really want it? And are you okay with the change that comes with it? What seeds are you planting daily? What kind of life am I reproducing? What is already inside me that needs cultivation? Am I judging myself in a grass season while expecting fruit tree results? If this conversation gave you clarity or shifted your perspective in any way, share it with someone who needs it and make sure you're following the Wealth Within podcast for more. And remember on this journey to be gentle with yourself because we are always becoming.
