A monkey monkey monkey, I'm so fun. The monkey monkey monkey monkey song is done. Also there's elephant.

SPEAKER_00

Officer monkey, do you copy? I repeat, officer monkey, do you copy?

SPEAKER_05

What does do you copy mean?

SPEAKER_00

Do you copy means do you hear me?

SPEAKER_05

Oh. Well, no. I do not copy.

SPEAKER_00

Hmm. Seems like you do. Come on, let's play police. I'll even share my police car with you.

SPEAKER_05

No, thanks, Ellie. I really want to play with my Captain Carl action figure. I just can't find it anywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe somebody stole it. Sounds like a job for the police.

SPEAKER_05

This does sound like a job for the police.

SPEAKER_00

I've had a long career as a police officer. I've been solving crime since before you were born, rookie. And after we solve this one last case, I can finally retire.

SPEAKER_05

What did you say, officer elephant? You can finally be on fire?

SPEAKER_00

No, retire. Retire is when you've been working for a long time and want to stop working. I'm pretending I'm an older police officer ready to retire.

SPEAKER_05

Ooh, I want to be a car tire.

SPEAKER_00

Retire. And that's my storyline. You can be my young and crazy rookie partner.

SPEAKER_05

Young and crazy? That doesn't really sound like me, Ellie. Bible bit monkey.

SPEAKER_00

We need to be careful out there, Officer Monkey. It's not easy being police.

SPEAKER_05

You said it, Chief. It's a coffee and donut world out there, and it's up to us to eat the sprinkles.

SPEAKER_00

You've got a lot to learn, Rookie. But you're going to have to learn on the job. Let's go find Captain Carl.

SPEAKER_06

Let's do it. Police time. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Arrest the bad guy. Arrest the bad guy. Police. Saving the day. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Chase the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Catch the bad guy. Arrest the bad guy. Arrest the bad guy. Open up. It's the police. Fighting crime, cause we are the police. Working hard to keep the order and the peace. We all deserve to be safe and protected. Treated fairly with the rights respected. To be police, well, you gotta be strong. You gotta be brave and know right from wrong. If you're ever in danger, call 911. And then the police will come in. Chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, arrest the bad guy, arrest the bad guy, police. Saving the day, chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, chase the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, catch the bad guy, arrest the bad guy, arrest the bad guy. Open up.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, monkey. Think. Where was the last place you saw Captain Carl?

SPEAKER_05

Let's see. Last place I saw Captain Carl. I remember seeing him in uh oh, oh, it was the bathroom. Yeah, it was the bathroom. I was using your toothbrush to scrub marker off my armpits.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you you what?

SPEAKER_05

To the bathroom.

SPEAKER_00

All right, we're in the bathroom. Now, let's spread out and look for clues.

SPEAKER_05

Hmm. I found something.

SPEAKER_00

What is it?

SPEAKER_05

Your toothbrush! Can I scratch my armpits with it?

SPEAKER_00

Hands off my toothbrush! Look for real clues.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, okay, dude. Chill out.

SPEAKER_00

I think I found something. But it's very small. Let me get my magnifying glass.

SPEAKER_05

What's a magnifying glass?

SPEAKER_00

It's a tool that makes small things look a lot bigger. Let me just take a look. Yes! It's a piece of cat litter.

SPEAKER_05

You found cat litter? Does uh does the cat go poopy-doopy in the bathroom? This blows my mind!

SPEAKER_00

No, the cat goes poopy-doopy in her litter box. But that means she might have been in here. Maybe she stole Captain Carl.

SPEAKER_05

To the cat cave!

SPEAKER_00

Okay, monk. The cat is our suspect. This means that we think she committed the crime or is somehow connected to it. The cat might be armed and dangerous. Do you have a weapon?

SPEAKER_05

I sure do. I have my trusty banana gun.

SPEAKER_00

Banana gun?

SPEAKER_05

Yep, it shoots blueberries. Highly dangerous.

SPEAKER_00

Then why isn't it called a blueberry gun? You know what? Never mind. I'll knock on the door. You stand back with your blueberry, uh, rather banana gun. In case the cat attacks us.

SPEAKER_05

Copy that, Chief.

SPEAKER_00

Open up, police.

SPEAKER_01

Who is knocking on my poopy palace? Meow!

SPEAKER_00

This is Officer Elephant and Officer Monkey. We need to ask you a few questions.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I see. I'd be happy to answer questions. Uh never! Meow!

SPEAKER_00

She's making a run for it.

SPEAKER_05

Don't worry, I'll get her with my banana gun!

unknown

Phew!

SPEAKER_05

Ow! Ah, there's a blueberry in my nose! I repeat, there's a blueberry in my nose!

SPEAKER_00

I'll have to catch that cat myself. I'm getting too old for this.

SPEAKER_05

You can do it, Ellie! Get that stinky cat!

SPEAKER_00

Oh, get back here, Cad!

SPEAKER_01

You get back here! I mean, now!

SPEAKER_00

Elephant trunk lasso attack! Yeah!

SPEAKER_01

Ow! Why did you do that? Meow!

SPEAKER_00

To stop you! Now where is Captain Carl? What have you done with him?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, okay, I admit it. I stole Captain Carl, but I had to do it! I borrowed treats from the Dog Father, and I can't repay her. She said that if I stole Captain Carl, my debt would be cleared. And if I didn't steal Captain Carl, she would destroy my precious poopy box! No!

SPEAKER_00

The dog father. My arched nemesis. I should have known.

SPEAKER_01

So, uh, can I go now? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you can go. To jail for a long time. You'll never see your litter box again.

SPEAKER_01

Not my precious poopy box! No! Meow!

SPEAKER_05

I'm at the hospital! I'm at the hospital! Cause I got a blueberry stuck in my nose! Cause I got a blueberry stuck in my nose! Cause I have a uh actually, you know what? It's kind of boring here. I wish I was out playing police with Ellie. Ooh, at least this hospital has books.

SPEAKER_07

And now a story. The ongoing adventures of Captain Carl. Volume 12. The tree. Captain Carl was flying high above the city when his superheroing picked up a cry for help. Help! My baby! My baby! cried a woman in distress. Captain Carl zoomed toward the woman below and sang his song. Here comes Captain Carl As he approached, he heard her cry again.

SPEAKER_06

Help! Help! My baby kitten is stuck in the tree.

SPEAKER_07

She pointed very high up into a large tree next to her. Captain Carl landed by her side. Please, can you save my kitten? asked the woman. Are you kidding me? said Captain Carl. I can't get up there. It's way too high. What? But you were just flying. Yes, but I can't get up there. I would help, but I have a fear of tall trees. Doctors can't explain it. Also, I just twisted my ankle landing here, so I couldn't help even if I didn't have a fear of tall trees. Also, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, and frankly, I'm just not really in a superhero kind of mood. Well, why did you come down here if you weren't even going to help? The woman asked. I was just curious, said Captain Carl. Try calling firefighters or the police or something. Best of luck. He leapt off the ground and started to fly. However, he accidentally flew directly into that very same tree, crashed into it. The impact shook the tree and knocked the kitten off the high branch. The kitten landed safely right onto Captain Carl's big soft butt.

SPEAKER_00

Officer monkey, there you are. I can't believe you're in the hospital. How are you holding up?

SPEAKER_05

Officer elephant, I'm so happy to see you. I'm hanging on. But just barely. Did you catch the cat?

SPEAKER_00

I did. She said that she stole Captain Carl and then gave it to the dog father.

SPEAKER_05

The dog father, your arch nemesis. Great work, Ellie. I wish I could help you, but I'm stuck in this hospital for at least 25 years until I recover fully from my tragic injury.

SPEAKER_00

Actually, Monk, I talked to the doctor and she said you could just pick the blueberry out of your nose.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, really? I can pick my nose. Pick up my nose. Pick up my nose. Oh, got it. And it still tastes good.

SPEAKER_00

That is gross.

SPEAKER_05

Let's go find the dog father and save Captain Carl.

SPEAKER_01

Captain Carl is mine.

SPEAKER_04

And the cat is in jail taking the blame. My plan is working to perfection.

SPEAKER_00

Not so fast, dog father. We caught you red-handed. Hand over, Captain Carl.

SPEAKER_03

Elephant and monkey? How did you find me?

SPEAKER_05

We'll ask the questions here. My first question is, why do they call you the dog father? You're a stuffed unicorn. And my second question is, why does your accent keep changing?

SPEAKER_02

I'll ask the questions. I'll give you back happen call if you give me a hundred dog treats.

SPEAKER_00

That's not a question. But that is a different accent. And we don't have any dog treats.

SPEAKER_04

Didn't you buy the dog treats at the grocery store? Seriously, just like pick an accent, okay?

SPEAKER_05

Your voice keeps changing. And no, we didn't get dog treats at the grocery store. Didn't you listen to the episode? I didn't want to be greedy, so we didn't buy the dog treats.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. No, I I didn't listen all the way. I got bored. Well, now what do I do?

SPEAKER_05

I'll ask the questions here.

SPEAKER_03

You'll go to jail.

SPEAKER_00

Not a question. But yes, you will go to jail.

SPEAKER_04

No, I won't. You'll never catch me.

SPEAKER_05

Oh no, she said we're never gonna catch her. What are we gonna do?

SPEAKER_00

Evil villains always say that. She's standing right in front of you. Just get her.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah. Handcuffs! Pcha! No! Oh, Captain Carl, I've missed you so much! We have so much to catch up on!

SPEAKER_07

Thank you for saving me, monkey. I would have saved myself, but I have a hole in my sock. And everybody knows you're useless when you have a hole in your sock.

SPEAKER_00

This case is closed. I can finally retire.

SPEAKER_05

Ow! I just got another blueberry stuck in my nose! Ah! So, Ellie, what are you gonna do now that you're rewired?

SPEAKER_00

You mean retired? And now that I'm retired, I think I'm going to take a nap.

SPEAKER_05

You deserve it, old friend. I'm gonna get to work on getting this blueberry out of my nose. That was so much fun! We got to play police and arrest the cat and arrest the dog father and save Captain Carl. Uh, my favorite thing is to play with my friends and use our imagination and act out silly stuff like that. And playing police is probably the best thing ever. I want to arrest everybody. That was cool. We had fun with you. Let's do it again. We'll find more fun things to do. Oh yeah. Oh, it's not done. Uh monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey. Ow! Ah, there's a blueberry in my nose! I repeat, there's a blueberry in my nose. Yeah.
