We are currently going through a monetary reordering, and lately things have been very volatile in the market. This begs the question, what are the best ways to win or thrive during a recession? What steps can we take to position ourselves well not to take any of this on the chin if S@#! hits the fan?
In this podcast, I go over key things I have done and that I think many others should consider doing to weather and succeed a potential recession. Specifically, I go over the following:
- Prepare diligently when times are good to build resilience for tougher days.
- Reduce debt and minimize outgoing expenses.
- Explore opportunities to create multiple streams of income.
- Eliminate unnecessary spending, such as:
- Car payments.
- High-cost mortgages.
- Anything requiring financing.
- Subscriptions, flashy purchases, and frequent dining out.
- Shift focus beyond just the market—prioritize strengthening relationships.
- Maintain physical fitness and overall health.
- Avoid obsessing over daily price fluctuations; instead, invest time in upskilling and pursuing activities outside your 9-5 job.
