Welcome to His Words Abiding in You, a podcast series intended for those wanting to develop the skill of quoting Bible verses from memory. For those wanting to work on individual verses organized by topics, there is the podcast titled His Words Abiding in You Single Verses. For those wanting to work on larger passages of the Bible, there is the podcast titled His Words Abiding in You Chapters. The episodes for both podcasts use the same format which has two main features. First, memorization is done by listening and quoting. You listen to a reading from the Bible and then you practice quoting as much as you remember of what you have just heard. Each verse is read several times during the episode and you should find that you remember more of the verse as you go through the episode. Second, memorization begins with working on short segments, usually not exceeding ten words. As necessary, each verse is divided into these shorter segments. You start by working on the shorter segments and then proceed to working on the whole verse. The listen and quote portion of the episode is then followed by a description of a memory aid that you may find helpful.
