I’m your host Mary Street. I’m a survivor of childhood abuse, physical and emotional trauma and ministry burnout. God in His love and kindness walked me through my own journey of healing, restoration and powerful growth.
Now, through life coaching, counseling and more, I lead countless people into breakthrough where they find lasting freedom and have great growth. I’ve been in ministry for 21+ years and for 16 of those years was a Missionary in Tanzania Africa. While serving in various leadership roles, I have seen the good the bad, the ugly both in the church and out.
I’m passionate about helping people find freedom, find their voice and seeing the next generation rise up in mental and emotional health and become all God created them to be.

Episode 26 - Religion vs Relationship
God didn't design religion, we did. Our original design was supposed to be for relationship, and to be in the image of God. Religion says I have to be something or accomplish something in order to get His love. In true relationship with the Father there is rest, there is fellowship, there is oneness where we connect spirit to spirit and get to be sons and daughters.
If your heart is not fully connected to him, you’ll live from a place of religion instead of a relationship. Religion operates in performance, from a work mentality of 'I have to' instead of 'I get to'. Religion says I have to work or perform for His love. It demands a title where true relationship knows you get to rest in Him, He loves us because He loves us and the only thing you need to be known as, is a son or a daughter of the King. We don’t have to “do” anything to get our Papa’s approval. Connection is everything!
Are you connected?
