What if you've already done all four of the other leaps? What do you do now? Does that mean you're done with leaps forever? Well, I'm glad you asked because in today's final part of this series, we're going to talk about the leaper who has already done all the leaps and has the shirt to prove it. You ready? Let's get started. Welcome to the Taking the Leaps Podcast with me, your host, fellow leaper and coach Rachel G. Scott. This podcast inspires you to take bold leaps of faith, but you won't be doing it alone. As we journey together through the fisherman, shepherd, builder, tent maker, and trailblazer leaps, my hope is that you will see how God is with you every step of the way and begin to confidently trust him as he leads you into your next leap. It's time to live a leaping lifestyle. You ready? Let's go. Well, welcome back to the final episode of Reintroducing the Five Leaps. I have enjoyed taking time to explain more about the leaps to you, and my hope is that now you will have greater clarity, excitement, and curiosity about the leap God is calling you to take. Now, for our final leap, we are going to talk about what is called the Trailblazer's leap. The word trailblazer is used more in our modern culture than, say, shepherd or tent maker or fisherman. And unlike the other leaps, it's not a word that can be found in the scriptures. However, this leap is very special, not only because of how it came about, but because of who it represents. So today, we will be discussing where the leap came from, who got called to this leap, and three important things to know about this leap. Now let's dive into what the Trailblazer's leap is. The Trailblazer's leap is when a person has already done all four of the leaps, meaning the fishermen's shepherds, builders, and tent makers, and they are now able to lead the way for others to take leaps. The Trailblazer understands that leaping is a lifestyle. And although they have in one season or another already done all of the leaps themselves, they are prepared to leap in the present or future as God leads them. So who is a biblical character that represents this leap? If you said Jesus, you're correct. Jesus went before us in every leap and modeled for us what it looks like to live a leaping lifestyle on this side of eternity. He took the shepherd's leap when he relocated from heaven to earth. And the tent maker's leap when he came to dwell among us as savior of our world, carpenter and leader. He performed both ministry and career duties. Both worlds and responsibilities occupied space in the same season until he went into full-time ministry, which is when he took the fisherman's leap. When he walked away from his family business as a carpenter to go into full-time ministry at the appointed time. And he took the builder's leap when he returned to his father after he had finished his work here on earth. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a leaping lifestyle and the greatest trailblazer of all times. The main scripture for this leap is John 6.38. And it reads, For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but to do the will of him who sent me. This explains the purpose of anyone living a leaping lifestyle, to do the will of the Father. And the Trailblazer's leap is our constant reminder that leaping is a lifestyle. Now you may be wondering if I'm saying that everyone is called to take the trailblazer's leap. And my answer is yes, I am saying this. Why? Well, because I believe that we are all called to be like Jesus. And Jesus, as you just learned, was a trailblazer and took the trailblazer's leap. So that should be the ultimate goal of every believer. Now, here's the thing the trailblazer's leap has layers. It's not as cut and dry or simple as the other leaps because it's contingent on our willingness to do all of the other leaps. This is not a matter of doing one leap multiple times. It's about doing all the leaps over time so that we are able to mentor and disciple others in their leaps. Admittedly, not everyone wants to help others on a path that they have already gone down. It could be hard. But for those who choose to become a trailblazer, there's even more for them to experience and learn to serve others and to lift them up. Being a trailblazer means taking what you have learned and pouring it into someone else so that they can lead with greater peace, confidence, and assurance. Think about this. If you have already relocated as an act of obedience and you meet someone who God is leading to do the same as a trailblazer, you will willingly come alongside them so that they don't make the mistakes you may have made or fall into the mental or emotional trap the enemy tried to lay for you. Or if someone you know is feeling called to leave their job as a trailblazer, you will come alongside them to help them walk the path of wisdom, stewardship, and obedience that's necessary to see God move on their behalf during the leap. You may become an intercessor for one person and wise counsel for another as you step fully into the role of a trailblazer. You mentor and disciple just as Jesus instructed us to do in the Great Commission. And part of how we do this is through our testimony and our willingness to walk authentically with others. So if you have done all four leaps and you're now a trailblazer and you're accepting that role, there are three things you should know. The first thing is you are called to live a leaping lifestyle. You've heard me say it this entire time. Your last leap wasn't your final leap. You will continue to take leaps up until you leap into heaven's gate. And this is something we should find great peace and joy in. The second thing is you are called to disciple others in their leaps. You should look for the opportunity to partner with God's vision and other people's lives and share openly and authentically. And the third thing you need to know is that with this leap and every other leap, it's not about the leaps themselves, but who you choose to become through the leaping journey and how we will allow God to use it for his glory in our lives. This is something we must always remember. All right. So that's it for the Trailblazers Leap. Again, I hope this series blessed you, but there's so much more to talk about on the podcast to help you prepare to take bold leaps of faith. So continue to tune in as we seek God to become the leapers he has called us to be. Until next time, family, be blessed. Thank you for joining today's episode. I hope you were inspired by what you heard and you're even more encouraged to trust God with your next leap. Before you leave, take a moment and think of your community. Who do you know that could benefit from the wisdom shared in this podcast? Now take it one step further and encourage them through text, DM, or a simple conversation by sharing this episode. Let's make sure others know they're not alone as they obey God and choose to live a leaping lifestyle. Enjoy the rest of your day and remember, God can do more with your willingness than he could ever do with your worthiness.
