Isaiah 43:18-20 – 18 “Do not remember the past events; pay no attention to things of old. 19 Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. 20 Wild animals – jackals and ostriches will honor me, because I provide water in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people.
SERMON TITLE: “PERCEPTION OF REALITY”
Isaiah 43:18 – 18 “Do not remember the past events; pay no attention to things of old.
1. YOU WILL *MISS WHAT GOD IS *DOING BY *LOOKING FOR WHAT GOD *DID
2. YOUR *PERCEPTION WILL LEAD TO YOUR *DECEPTION… IF YOU LET IT.
Isaiah 43:19 – 19 Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
Philippians 4:12-13 – 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
3. GOD PROVIDES *WATER IN THE WILDERNESS: SOMETIMES *FOR YOU, SOMETIMES *THROUGH YOU
Isaiah 43:20 – 20 Wild animals – jackals and ostriches will honor me, because I provide water in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people.
John 4:13-14 – 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Isaiah 53:4-6 – 4 Yet he himself bore our sicknesses, and he carried our pains; but we in turn regarded him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds. 6 We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished him for the iniquity of us all.
