Series: Servanthood – Stages of a Servant

Today’s message challenged us to confront one of the most critical stages in servanthood—gaining victory over our flesh. Pastor Mike taught that the wilderness isn’t punishment, but preparation. It strips away self-reliance and reveals what’s truly in our hearts. In this place, God calls us to surrender old habits, hidden sins, and excuses in exchange for transformation.

We can’t walk in new purpose with an old mindset. The “dirty cup” can’t carry fresh water, just as the old vessel can’t contain new wine. Victory begins when we invite God into the hidden places and let Him cleanse us completely—so He can clothe us with His armor and power.
