Nate Neven is a mathematics teacher, a graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a B.A. in Mathematics for Secondary Education. He started his teaching career in public schools, but has now been in private education for 5 years. His aim while teaching mathematics is to: engage students through activities that require them to work individually and with groups, to help students discover real world applications of mathematics, and enable them to develop the cognitive skills involved in mathematical reasoning.
