We get on the phone with Bolderhead from federal prison after he receives transcripts tied to “When The Bloods Went Body 4 Body On Staten Island”, available on YouTube, and he explains why the timeline and “facts” don’t line up with what he knows. According to him, the story leans too heavily on court records without speaking to the people actually involved.

This leads to a bigger question: when true crime media relies on paperwork alone, who gets erased — and who gets mislabeled?

Yeah so I was able so I was able to uh to see to see everything they was talking about and a lot of that shit is like bullshit nah it definitely is it definitely is like ah but I guess that I think that I think that comes from like I I don't believe they reached out to nobody whoever whoever this uh whoever this dude is he didn't reach out to nobody to ask anybody to say is these these are accurate facts because it looked like like what it sounds like is that they just took whatever the court whatever the court records said and they just went with that I mean to an extent because even if you take what the court records said you know what I'm saying he's still a bit off with the facts that he's delivering in his um yeah and that's even more video you know what I'm saying yeah so that's even more that's even more with it it's just a lot of a lot of inconsistencies you know um so that's the crazy part about that like what what are some of the inconsistencies that you wanted to address personally uh it's so many that like you can't really pinpoint it like timeline everything uh you know is uh it's really hard to speak on because you know a lot of dudes still got they uh their appeals in play like so it's like you got men still fighting for their freedom so but uh what I can say is is that that was a crazy week and there's a lot of people kicking a kicking their feet up.

Okay since since you've been there a month what's the biggest differences that you've seen in a medium and a max uh I want to say the mindset really really the really the mindset of the dudes that's incarcerated here right where you got the you got the penitentiary life the mindset is like down like everything is like the worst so you you you feel that energy when you walk in the union you feel it you feel hopelessness you feel despair like because you you you got so many people that got a lot of time so it's like just imagine w waking up in in in in a in a mirror and looking at yourself and say I got seven life sensitives I got ten life sentences or I got a hundred and ninety years. This call is from a federal prison I'm never gonna see the outside world again. Just imagine you get on the phone and you talk to your kids and it's like we can't make plans moving forward because this is where is it for you and they just moving on with their life and so just imagine all of that energy in one small place and you got 120 dudes and you got 80 of them that's dealing with that situation. Yeah definitely so so and you know even the ones that don't got life sensitives they got a lot of time or they situation is just fucked up.

They done burn bridges and they just living that life so and then you got in the medium like dudes is going home dudes got hope dudes got like they still feel alive they still feel like is it it they got a future so that's the that's the that's the biggest difference and then the environment is going to dictate all of that because you know they're gonna adjust to how we move you're gonna have you're gonna have the motherfuckers that that that got the that got the keys they're gonna adjust to how we move yeah definitely definitely do you think um the COs are are different maybe a little bit more lenient in the mediums versus the maxes do they have a different mentality yeah definitely because again you're dealing with a completely different mindset so you're gonna you're gonna you're gonna you're gonna come at that differently so if if if they all looking at you if if if this if the COs is looking at you like you are an animal they're gonna treat you that way. so now that you have a little bit less restriction a little bit more freedom what can we expect to come from Boulder in these next few years um well I got I got I got all these books I'm pushing out um I got I got some writers that I just signed the Boulder hustlers so that's looking good uh within the next few years I'm talking about the next few months so you know I could move I could I could do a lot I could do a lot more in here you know no lockdowns and or a lot of the restrictions so I'll be able to accomplish more um the film getting into the filming uh putting just this just just working on putting out uh some good content so again just marketing a lot more getting out there and being able to connect with the people a lot more with not having lockdowns and being able to have access to the phone like you know with a lockdown I'll I'll make a plan to have a conversation with somebody and then we lock down for two months two weeks nah definitely I I've I've seen it firsthand with you are you are you tapped in with niggas from the town anybody from the town not really I I I try to like look I got I got four I got four adult daughters or three of them and one is uh like about to be an adult they've a full time job they've like but you know the love the the love always pour in so stapleton that's that's that's that's home like or that's that's that's I'm not gonna say home I'm gonna say the the the the the grain yeah that's the grain I got I got strong ties there so like even if even if even if uh even if a motherfucker ain't reaching out every day I know that I was to walk through I'ma feel a love yeah definitely well we're reaching you reaching the 14 minute mark so that means we got about a minute left you got a a message you want to deliver to the people uh do what you love like I'm doing I'm right now I'm doing what I love
