Hello, and welcome to Latinas in leadership. My name is Alejandra Thompson. I am a first gen Latina representing Columbia. 200% are here, Columbia in America. I am a career and leadership coach that started coaching in 2019. And since then I have helped over 50 professionals increase their salary, get promoted into their first director level, role and change careers without taking a pay. Cut. Latinas and leadership will be a weekly podcast. We are dropping every Tuesday and I'm aiming for 30 minutes, but you know, sometimes I go a little bit more. We'll see I'm aiming for 30 minute podcasts episodes so that they are short and sweet and great for you. Whether you are on a walk, whether you are in a commute, wherever you are, maybe even in the shower, you can get this episode in and I'm going to be covering number one, career advancement strategies, like how to get promoted in six months or how to. Go from manager to director level. Number two personal growth and overcoming challenges. The people listening to this are going to be people who are into their growth, who want to grow. And I know my Latinas are ambitious and we're looking to grow. So I'm going to talk about the ways that you can grow as a person and overcome challenges like overcoming imposter syndrome burnout, and the fear of speaking up at work. And number three, I'm going to go over strategic professional skills that you need to grow in order to advance in your career in order to get promoted things like how to negotiate your salary. Things like developing a personal brand. Things like self advocacy. These episodes on career advancement, strategic professional skills and personal growth are all designed to help you get promoted into leadership positions, lead with confidence and step into your purpose. There are so many podcasts out there, but there is not a single podcast that gets straight to the point with career advancement strategies to help Latinas break into leadership positions. And that is what I am all about. There are podcasts out there that are amazing, and they're for first gen professionals and they're for women and their podcasts out there that are doing interviews with Latinas, in senior roles, which love, love all of these. These are great. But this podcast is going to be different in that I'm going to drop episodes specifically to give you clear action strategy so that you can go on and take it and advance in your career. I want more Latinas in leadership. I want to see you break into that first manager level, role director level role. I want to see you advance. There will be even opportunities for Q and a in the future. So these episodes are really about how I can support you with strategy and actions and advice and guidance that you've probably incurred raving for. Like I was craving for when I was in corporate. So I did not come to play games. We are going to get straight into the point when it comes to this podcast. And to give you a little sneak peek into some of the upcoming podcasts, this.
