Jane Harvey | The Newly Appointed CEO of The Hollie Gazzard Trust
Welcome to another inspiring episode of Beyond Four Walls, where we explore the stories and experiences of individuals driving meaningful change. In this episode, we are honoured to welcome Jane Harvey, the newly appointed CEO of the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
Jane brings over 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, having worked with esteemed organizations like BBC and ITV. Her dedication to tackling stalking and abuse began in 1999 when she first reported on the issue, traveling to the United States to engage with leading experts in risk and safeguarding. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in shaping national policy, working with Tracey Morgan’s charity, Network for Surviving Stalking, and helping to establish the National Stalking Helpline.
Jane’s passion for advocacy was further ignited when she learned about Hollie Gazzard’s story through a radio interview with Nick Gazzard. In 2017, she took on a frontline role, supporting high-risk stalking victims in Gloucestershire, an initiative spearheaded by the Trust that has since received statutory funding.
In this conversation, Jane shares her remarkable journey, the lessons she has learned, and her vision for leading the Hollie Gazzard Trust into a new chapter. We discuss:
- Jane’s career in journalism and its impact on her advocacy work.
- The evolution of stalking awareness and national policy.
- The Gloucestershire specialist stalking support service and its successes.
- Her goals as the new CEO of the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
- How the Trust plans to address stalking and abuse in the digital age.
- The importance of community engagement, collaboration, and policy change.
- Ways individuals can support the Trust’s mission.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone passionate about social change, victim support, and advocacy. Jane’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
