Loneliness Busters

#LonelinessBusters is a podcast where I talk to founders, researchers, policymakers, investors, community builders and more, on how to build a more connected world.

It all began with a click.

I posted my personal blog "Let's rethink social" and woke up to a million views. When I got thousands of personal messages from those who wanted to help, I realized 2 things:
1. People care deeply about the issue of loneliness and social disconnection.
2. People want to help but don't know how.

So began my quest. I had 200+ conversations with experts, founders, researchers, doctors, teens, retirees, parents, grassroot leaders and community builders. They challenged me, inspired me and blew me away. But I know I am just getting started.

This is my attempt to lift the veil, break the silos and inspire more entrepreneurs, researchers, and community builders to join the "loneliness busters" squad.

1 in 2 American adults are lonely today.

Our first guest is Lara Gregorio, Co-Founder of Humanest Care. We explore how to tackle loneliness by bringing communities together and making mental health tools accessible to all. Lara has over 20 years of experience in behavioral mental health. She designed a tele-health program at UCSD's Department of Psychiatry, bootstrapped and scaled clinical services at 7 Cups overseeing 165 licensed providers, and today is a board member of NAMI California.

Lara is a passionate mental health advocate and an inspiring leader.
