The Write Your Own Story Podcast
Grab your fav pen ladies, because it’s time to write the story of how your life goes! The Write Your Own Story podcast is here to encourage women to live the life they dream about by sitting with women business owners, game changers, community leaders and friends in the most honest, no perfect allowed, just girls gabbin way, about all things life and womanhood. Stories are rooted in meaning, connection, and understanding and so often are the clues for our future selves. It’s so important for all of us to hear what other women are doing with their lives. Their successes, their struggles, their perseverance, what failure has taught them, how they show up in this world, and what sets their heart on fire. It’s these stories that make us realize we’re not alone and motivate us to take a closer look at our own dreams. I promise it will be down to earth, super real and honest, funny, and feel like we’re all just gabbin over a cup of coffee or a glass (glasses) of wine. At the end of each show, my hope ist women are inspired to block out the societal “should’s” and the inner voices of “Why me?” and “Am I enough?” so they can pick up the pen with confidence and write their own stories of their lives.

Why You’ll Never Feel Ready to Start a Business (And How to Do It Anyway) with Kaytlin Schneider
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You know that idea you can’t shake—the one that keeps showing up no matter how busy, practical, or “reasonable” you try to be? This episode is for you.
In this conversation, Betsy sits down with Kaytlin Schneider, founder and CEO of Aeston West Skincare & Beauty, for an honest, empowering look at what it really means to build something of your own. From navigating self-doubt and imposter syndrome to embracing the discomfort of being seen before you feel ready, Kaytlin shares what entrepreneurship actually looks like behind the scenes.
Together, they unpack the quiet pull toward something more—and why you don’t need every answer before you begin. Kaytlin opens up about her non-linear path from biological engineering to beauty, and how treating your skills like tools in a toolbox (not a fixed identity) can unlock entirely new possibilities.
In this episode, they explore:
- Why confidence comes after action, not before
- How to stop waiting for permission and start choosing yourself
- What the “messy middle” really is—and why it doesn’t mean you’re failing
- How to move through overwhelm, self-doubt, and freeze states with self-trust
- The surprising science behind skincare, inflammation, and building routines that actually work
If you’ve been feeling the pull to begin—but telling yourself you’re not ready yet—consider this your reminder: ready is built in motion.
And if you’ve ever asked yourself, “Could I really do this?”—this episode gently, boldly answers back: why wouldn’t you?
