In part one of three, Mason takes the lead telling the story of the fonding of Butte MT, the rise of it's Copper King's who's companies made the city there Kingdom and the rivalry between the three that would force the city and it's industries in to a corporate amalgamated. This would create the setting for the North Butte Mining disaster of 1917 in which 163 men lost their lifes.
