One of the things that I always appreciate about this show, but is less common is when I get to interview guests who are currently going through their injury journey.
They have a different perspective than the others because they are in the thick of it.
For that reason, one of our previous guests, the great Wayne Bergeron told me I should reach out to another LA Legend, Mr. Andy Martin!
Andy has been dealing with embouchure dystonia for the last five years, and does not hold back any punches about how hard it has been.
I love that kind of honesty.
He shares about how his core group of friends have helped him regain his confidence in his playing abilities.
How he is starting to realize that his identity may not have to be as tied up in the trombone as he once thought.
