This episode is dedicated to the memory of my beloved uncle, Major John Lovell (1983-2024). We love you Uncle Johnny Boy, until we meet again.
This is the episode I never wanted to record.
It is the most raw and blunt I have ever been.
I didn’t even edit this the way that I usually do, because I want this to be as real as possible.
I didn’t have any notes, nothing.
I didn’t want to have to make this episode
But I realized today that I had no choice.
There are people out there who may think that the topics we cover on this show are just for the people who “don’t have their crap together” to put it lightly. Or that the conversations about taking care of yourself, and identity, are just for people who are going through injury.
There are people out there who think that the conversation about injury are just for those going through it.
Well, IT’S NOT
Trust me, you don’t want these topics, this inner work, this self-care to only be relevant when you are picking up the pieces of your career because of an injury.
This episode is NOT meant to shame or call out anyone going through an injury.
But it IS a loving, but direct message to those of you who are not making the investment in your own health, physical, mental and mindset.
My message to you is that YOU ARE WORTH THE CARE YOU NEED
Yes, it may take some time away from your normal activities, but it will be WORTH IT.
And I don’t want you to only find that out after going through an injury.
Keep on keepin’ on, I love you guys.
