If you’ve been missing someone you love, thinking about them constantly, or feeling the weight of their absence… this is for you.
There are moments where memories come back unexpectedly, where you wish you could hear their voice again, or just have one more moment with them. Missing someone can feel heavy, especially when the love is still there but the person is not.
In this prayer, I’m asking God to comfort your heart, hold you in your grief, and give you peace in the middle of what you’re feeling. You don’t have to hide your emotions or rush the process.
It’s okay to miss them. It’s okay to feel this.
Take a moment to pause, breathe, and let this prayer bring you comfort.
You’re not alone in this.

Hey, if you're listening to this, it probably means someone has been on your mind and you just can't shake the feeling of missing them. And I just want to say it's okay to feel this. You're not weak for missing them. You're not wrong for thinking about them. You loved, and love leaves an imprint. So just stay here with me for a moment. You don't have to hide how you feel right now. Take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Let your body soften, let your shoulders drop. You don't have to be strong right now. Father God, I come to you right now on behalf of the person listening to this. You see their heart. You see the way they miss this person. The thoughts that come back, the memories that don't just go away. And God, you understand it all. Lord, sometimes the hardest part is not even what happened. It's the after. It's the quiet moments, the nights, the random reminders. It's wishing things were different, wishing they were still here, wishing it didn't end the way it did. And God, that hurts. So right now we bring that pain to you. The missing, the longing, the questions, the why did this have to happen? We lay it all at your feet. God, I ask that you step into that empty space in their heart, the place where that person used to be. Fill it with your peace, not replacing the love, but comforting the pain. Let them feel that they are not alone in this. Lord, if this is something they have to release, help them to let go gently, not by forcing themselves, not by pretending they don't care, but by trusting you. Trusting that even this has a purpose they may not fully understand yet. Remind them that their life is not over because this ended, that their heart can heal even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Remind them that you are still writing their story. God, sit with them in this moment, in the silence, in the ache, in the missing. Let them feel your presence in a real way, a comforting way, a peaceful way. The kind of presence that quiets the heart. We release the need to hold on to every memory and pain. We release the heaviness, and we choose, even if it's just a little, to trust you with what we don't understand. God, cover them with your peace tonight, wrap them in comfort, and let them know that even though they miss that person, they are still held by you. You're allowed to feel this, but you don't have to carry it alone. God is with you even here. So just rest.
