Have you ever noticed that just when you're moving forward, an old mistake suddenly comes back to mind?

A memory. A regret. A season of your life you've already repented for.

And before you know it, you're replaying something God already forgave.

In this episode of Healing After Hours, we're talking about shame, condemnation, and the mental battle that many believers face after they've already received God's forgiveness. Sometimes the enemy doesn't need to create a new wound—he just keeps reminding you of an old one.

If you've been struggling with guilt, reliving past mistakes, questioning your worth, or feeling weighed down by things God has already forgiven, this conversation is for you.

We'll talk about why shame keeps resurfacing, how to recognize the difference between conviction and condemnation, and how to begin taking back control of your thoughts.

You don't have to keep living in a prison that God already opened.

It's time to stop rehearsing what God has already redeemed.

When are you gonna stop letting the devil bring this your shame before you? Yeah, I said it. You always think of the things that you used to do, the person used to be that you're ashamed of. You letting the enemy keep bringing that shame before you because he can't bring it before the Lord. Because what? God already forgave you for it. You repented of it, you asked for forgiveness, and that's what happened. Now, like I always say, you can't be dibbling and dabbling back in that stuff and keep talking about repentance, all right? But if you are sitting in your shame, if you are constantly remembering what you used to do, remembering the people you used to hang out with, remember the things you used to that you're ashamed of, and you think that people remember and all this stuff and people just care about it. When you constantly got that on your mind, the devil is bringing it to you. And God is saying, I forgave you for that. So why are you putting yourself mentally back there, which is going to cause physical outcomes? You got to stand firm and know that God forgave you for that. So you are no longer bound by those things. You can't move forward because you constantly think that somebody remembers who you used to be. You can't even go back to the old place you used to be at, right? Maybe to go give them a word, maybe to go help them out because you keep thinking that somebody's gonna remember you for that. Okay, they remember you that they remember you. Tell them I'm already set free from that. Yeah, I used to do it, but now I can help people who still in it and tell them how I came out, right? So the moment you break free of that, say, ain't no way I should still be thinking this though. No way that this should keep crossing my mind because now I'm I'm I'm playing games in my head. Like, dog, I did used to do that. I was like that. My goodness, I did that. Now you're shameful, and you the only one had that conversation with me when it doesn't. Nobody else heard that but you. So today it stops. Today, the mind battles, the shame, whatever your shame is, you know your shame because you keep thinking about it from time to time again. You know your shame, right? Let it remind you of how to stay humble because you know where you came from. You don't plan on going back, but it's somebody there now. And if you can help them come out, or you can give them a word, you give them a word, and you move on to bigger and better things in God. Say, devil, say it's not today, tomorrow either. I'm tired, I'm done. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. I rebuke these thoughts that you keep bringing to me. God has set me free, and I am free indeed. All right, and that's it. Move on, get bold with the enemy. Top letting the enemy slap you to and fro, all up and down the road, and you just going on. Stop again, stop because that's what I had to do. I had to set myself screaming, like girl, sugar, please.
