Have you ever prayed for an opportunity, worked toward it, and then… when it finally arrived… you started pulling away?
Maybe you overthought it. Maybe you convinced yourself you weren't ready. Maybe you found reasons to delay, second-guess yourself, or quietly walk away from the very thing you'd been asking God to bring into your life.
Why do we do that?
In this episode of Healing After Hours, we're having an honest conversation about self-sabotage, fear, and the emotional patterns that can cause us to reject the very opportunities we've been praying for.
Sometimes it isn't that we don't want the blessing.
Sometimes we're afraid of what it will require from us.
If you've ever found yourself shrinking back just as a door was opening, questioning whether you were good enough, or wondering why you keep getting in your own way, this conversation is for you.
Maybe the opportunity isn't exposing your weakness.
Maybe it's exposing the fear you've been carrying all along.
Tonight, let's talk about what happens when healing finally catches up with the prayers you've been praying.

Why did you just sabotage the opportunity that you've been waiting on? Let's talk about it. Okay, when I say sabotage, I mean the opportunity came, but you were too afraid to walk into it. You were too afraid to open the door to what possibilities that could come from out of it. Because you thought, like, oh, this can't be it. This is not it. I was not expecting it. Are you sure that's it? You started questioning God. Or maybe a lot of times you're not used to your prayers being answered. You feel like I've been praying for so many different things and nothing happened, but now this happened. So what do I do next? Where do I go from here? Or sometimes you kind of get a little, a little, a little ahead of yourself and start making moves outside of the will of the Lord. You start making more things happen instead of sitting in it and say, Lord, I thank you. You allow this to happen. Let's say God bless you with that house. The how the payments paid, or you have money to pay for it, what do you start doing? Well, I gotta get this to go in here. I don't got no beds, I don't got no furniture, I don't have this, I don't have that. You start looking at things that you don't have instead of sitting in the moment that God blessed you with this. I don't care if you don't got nothing in there. Listen, you got the roof over your head. God made a way out of nowhere, okay? Or if another opportunity comes and you're like, How did this happen? Is this real? Should I trust it? I don't know. If this is exactly what you've been praying for, and it's good now, okay, and God makes a way for it to come about. You need to praise God for that moment and stop allowing your mind to take over and start questioning every single thing. Because no longer will we start ruining opportunities, we start sabotaging ourselves when God has opened that door for you. You're gonna just walk into it and be blessed by it and not worry about the next steps because we're not worried about the next steps, we didn't make this step happen. We know that God did it. So, when an opportunity presents itself, first thing you're gonna do is what you're gonna praise God and just sit in that moment. We're not even thinking no further than that, okay? We're just gonna sit in a moment until God allows whatever next step has to happen. We're gonna let God do that. Because when you start thinking ahead of time, you start you start getting anxious, okay? That's when people say, Oh, I got anxiety or this, and you get anxious about the next move, and when it don't happen, you become depressed because you're sad or you're upset that it didn't happen. So that's how those things come hand in hand, and we got to stop our minds, stop ourselves because the word God tells us take no doubt for tomorrow, okay? Don't take no doubt for that thing. You stay in it, okay? All right, you can be good, you be blessed.
