Day 129 Walk in Boldness | Acts 4:13

Rick Yuhas Season 2 Episode 129

Send us a text

What happens when ordinary people spend time with an extraordinary God? Acts 4:13 reveals how the religious leaders were amazed by the boldness of Peter and John—not because they were exceptional, but because "they had been with Jesus." This profound truth forms the foundation of today's spiritual exploration.

In our current cultural moment, many believers struggle with showing boldness. We hesitate to speak truth, stand firm, or live counter-culturally. But this devotional unpacks the revolutionary insight that true spiritual courage isn't a personality trait—it's the natural fruit of authentic communion with Christ. When we've been with Jesus, we walk differently, speak differently, and love differently.

The message challenges our misconceptions about boldness. It's not about being loud, educated, or naturally confident. Instead, it flows naturally from spending time in God's presence. This distinction transforms how we approach our spiritual lives. Rather than trying to manufacture courage through our own efforts, we recognize that boldness emerges when we prioritize being with Him.

For those feeling pressure to stay silent or blend in, this episode offers a refreshing reminder that walking worthy means "refusing to shrink back, not from fear of rejection, not because of cancel culture, and not because we want to keep the peace at the cost of truth." The invitation is clear: stop waiting for the perfect moment, say what needs to be said, and live like it matters—all because you've been with Jesus. Join us as we discover how spending time with Christ naturally produces the holy courage our world desperately needs.

Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance. I'm Rick. Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges. Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired. Let's get started. Today is Day 129, walk in Boldness. From the book of Acts, chapter 4, verse 13,. From the New Living Translation.

Speaker 1:

We live in a time when staying quiet feels safer. Boldness that feels like a risk. But in the early church boldness wasn't a personality trait, it was a product of being with Jesus. Acts, chapter 4, verse 13, says the members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. That's the key, right there.

Speaker 1:

Boldness doesn't come from being loud. It doesn't come from being educated or naturally confident. It comes from being with Him. You walk different when you've been with Jesus. You speak truth even when it's unpopular. You love people fiercely even when they don't get it. You stand firm even when the ground around you shakes.

Speaker 1:

Walking worthy in this generation means refusing to shrink back, not from fear of rejection, not because of cancel culture, and not because we want to keep the peace at the cost of truth. It means knowing who sent you and walking in that authority with humility and fire. Let today be the day that you stop waiting for the perfect moment. Say what needs to be said, live like it matters. Walk in boldness because you've been with Jesus. Pray with me, father. God, give me boldness today, not arrogance, not pride, but holy courage. Let the time I spend with you overflow into every conversation and every step I make In Jesus' precious name, amen. Hey, before I go, don't forget Weekends with Lauren, tomorrow and Sunday. See ya. Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
