God never intended for you to be a carbon copy of someone else. He carefully crafted you to be you – fully surrendered, fully loved, and fully usable right where you are. Speaker 2:Today is Day 130, walk through comparison. We'll be in 2 Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 12, from the New Living Translation. Hey, it's Saturday. Welcome to Weekends with Lauren.
Speaker 2:Can we talk for a minute about the trap of comparison, of comparison? I catch myself doing it all the time, scrolling through someone else's highlight reel, watching another girl hit milestones. I've been praying for, or seeing someone serve God in a way that makes me question what I'm even doing. 2 Corinthians 10, verse 12, calls this out, but they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant, ouch, but honestly freeing at the same time. Because the second I compare myself to someone else's calling I stop honoring my own. Walking worthy means walking in the lane God gave you. And, girl, your lane is good. It may not be fast or flashy, but it's faithful. It may not look like theirs, but it wasn't meant to. God didn't call you to be her. He called you to be you, fully surrendered, fully loved, fully usable, right where you are. Let's stop side-eyeing each other and start cheering each other on. Let's pray. Jesus, I admit it, sometimes I compare. Remind me that what you've given me is enough. Help me celebrate others without questioning my own value and teach me to walk with confidence in your design for my life. Amen.
