From the book of James, chapter 4, verse 10, from the New Living Translation you can walk tall in this world and still walk low before the Lord. James 4.10 says Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up in honor. That's a promise. But it starts with posture. To walk worthy means you walk low Not in shame, but in surrender. You don't approach God with pride or entitlement. You come like a child. You lay down your agenda. You stop trying to impress him. You drop the need to prove yourself and just let him be God. The world tells you to be bold, be loud, be first, be important. But the kingdom says bow low, speak less, serve quietly. Kingdom says bow low, speak less, serve quietly and let God do the lifting. Humility isn't thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of Him more. It's praying honest prayers. It's repenting quickly. It's choosing His will over your own, especially when they conflict. So today, if you want to walk worthy, start on your knees. That's where strength is born, that's where pride breaks, that's where God begins to move. Let's pray, lord, teach me to walk low before you today. Strip away my pride. Help me surrender fully and freely. I trust you to lift me when the time is right, in Jesus' name, amen.
