Have you ever considered that the most sacred moments in your life might be hiding in plain sight?

Today we explore Psalm 103:2, diving deep into what it means to "never forget the good things" God does for us. This isn't just about the dramatic miracles or mountain-top experiences—though those are certainly worth celebrating. Instead, we're turning our attention to the quiet blessings that often go unnoticed: the morning breath, the perfect cup of coffee, an unexpected text from a friend, or a moment of peace in the chaos.

These seemingly ordinary experiences aren't just nice moments—they're glimpses of divine grace woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. When we begin to recognize them for what they truly are, it transforms how we move through our days. Gratitude begins to lift the heaviness we carry. Worship evolves from an occasional activity into a constant way of seeing the world around us.

What makes this perspective so powerful is that it remains accessible even "in the middle of waiting or struggle or questions." God's goodness doesn't disappear when circumstances get difficult. He continues doing good things, showing up, and loving us—sometimes in ways so subtle we might miss them if we're not paying attention. Today, I invite you to pause, look around, and let every part of your being remember and praise God for His goodness that surrounds you, even in the most ordinary moments. Join me for this soul-refreshing exploration of finding the sacred in the everyday, and discover how this simple shift in perspective might just change everything about how you experience your life. Don't forget to subscribe and share this episode with someone who might need this gentle reminder today.

Speaker 2:

Today is Day 193, grace in the Ordinary. We'll be in Psalm 103, verse 2 from the New Living Translation. Let all that I am praise the Lord. May I never forget the good things he does for me. Hey, it's Saturday, and welcome to Weekends with Lauren. Now let's slow down a little.

Speaker 2:

Today, not everything has to be loud or dramatic to be holy. Sometimes the most sacred moments are the ones we almost overlook. Psalm 103.2 reminds us not to forget the good things. God does Not. The big miracles, though. Those are amazing, but the small ones too.

Speaker 2:

The breath in your lungs this morning, the cup of coffee that actually hits right, the text from a friend, the moment of peace in the middle of a loud week these aren't just nice moments. They're glimpses of grace. And when we start to see them for what they really are, it changes how we move through the day. Gratitude lifts the heaviness. Worship becomes more than just a song. It becomes a way of seeing. It's easy to miss the good when we're distracted by what's still broken. But even in the middle of waiting or struggle or questions, god is still doing good things. He's still showing up and he's still loving you. So today, pause and praise. Look around, god is still doing good things, he's still showing up and he's still loving you. So today, pause and praise. Look around, let all that you are in heart, mind and soul remember the goodness of God. It's there, even here. So let's pray. God, help me not to miss the little miracles today. Open my eyes to the blessings that are already around me. Let my heart stay soft, my spirit grateful and my words full of praise. Amen, and I'll see you tomorrow on Weekends with Lauren. Well, that's all for today, but remember I'm here every weekend and you should be too.
