Speaker 1:Today is day 196, waiting with Hope. From Psalm 130, verse 5, from the New Living Translation I am counting on the Lord. Yes, I am counting on Him. I have put my hope in His Word.
Speaker 1:Waiting can be one of the hardest things that God asked us to do. Whether you're waiting on healing, clarity, provision, a person, something you can't even put into words, the silence of waiting can feel louder than anything else. But Psalm 130, verse 5, shows us what faithful waiting looks like. I am counting on the Lord. That's not passive, that's not halfway. That's the language of someone who's anchored not in what they see but in who God is. When we put our hope in God's word, we're not crossing our fingers for a good outcome. We're standing with a promise. And here's the thing about promises, especially promises from God. They don't expire, they don't shift with our emotions. They hold even when everything else feels uncertain.
Speaker 1:Waiting doesn't mean God has forgotten. It often means he's preparing something bigger, better, deeper than we imagined. And while we wait, he's still working On the situation, yes, but also in us. So today, if you're stuck in the tension of not yet, don't give up, don't lose heart. Don't fill the silence with fear. Fill it with faith. Count on him, not because you see the answer yet, but because you know the one who holds it. Pray with me, father God. I don't like waiting, but I do trust you. Help me, count on you today more than I count on circumstances. Anchor my hope in your word and give me peace, even in the delay. I know you're working, even when I can't see it.
