Today is day 340. The gift of joy will be in Psalm chapter 16, verse 11 from the New Living Translation. Hey, it's Saturday, and today we're talking about the gift of joy that only God can give. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Joy is different from happiness. Happiness is based on circumstances, but joy is rooted in God's presence. No matter what's going on in your life, you can have joy because Jesus is with you and his promises never change. This joy sustains you in difficult seasons and makes the good seasons even sweeter. It's a gift God freely gives when we draw near to Him. So do this. Think about one area in your life where you've been relying on circumstances for happiness. Pray and ask God to fill that area with His joy instead. Now let's pray. Lord, thank you for the gift of joy that comes from your presence. Help me to live with that joy no matter what I face. Amen.
