From Romans chapter six, verse twenty three, from the New Living Translation. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. This life isn't the end of the story. Because of Jesus we have the promise of eternal life with Him. That's the ultimate hope for every believer. No matter what we face here on earth, our future is secure. Now this gift isn't earned, it's freely given to everyone who places their faith in Christ. Eternal life is the greatest reminder of God's love for you. Today, just take some time to thank God for the hope of heaven. Write down how this promise gives you strength and perspective for today. Now let's pray. Father God, thank you for the gift of eternal life. Help me to live each day in the light of the future that you have promised for me. I ask this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
