Day 354 The Gift of God’s Presence | Matthew 28:20

What if one promise could steady your heart in both storms and sunshine? We turn to Matthew 28:20 in the New Living Translation and linger on the words many of us know by heart but rarely practice with intention: “I am with you always.” Rather than treating that line like a slogan, we unpack how the awareness of God’s presence can soften fear, strengthen courage, and anchor joy without drifting into pride. From the pressure of daily responsibilities to the sting of loneliness, we trace how nearness reframes—not erases—the realities we face.

Lauren guides a gentle, practical rhythm for cultivating this awareness: a simple ten-minute stillness practice that anyone can try today. The steps are accessible and clear—sit, breathe, acknowledge, and give thanks—yet the fruit is deep. We talk about how this habit helps during conflict, decision-making, and moments when the enemy whispers, “You’re alone.” Instead of negotiating with anxiety, you begin to live from settled trust. A short, heartfelt prayer closes the loop, turning awareness into relationship and gratitude into strength.

Along the way, we consider both valleys and mountaintops. In hardship, presence becomes companionship that outlasts quick fixes. In success, presence tethers celebration to humility and wonder. The thread running through every moment is the same: you are seen, you are held, and your story is still being written by a faithful Author. If you’ve been craving peace that meets you where you live—at the kitchen sink, in the commute, or on a quiet weekend—this reflection offers a clear path toward it.

If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs comfort today, and leave a quick review to help others find these moments of peace.

SPEAKER_00:

Today is day 354, the gift of God's presence. We'll be in Matthew chapter 28, verse 20 from the New Living Translation. Hey, it's Saturday, and today we're going to focus on one of the greatest gifts God has given us. His presence. And be assured of this. God's presence is a gift that changes everything. You're never truly alone, and no matter what you face. When you're walking through challenges, his presence brings comfort. When you're on the mountaintop, his presence brings joy. The enemy will try to make you feel isolated, but the truth is that God is always with you. Lean into that truth today and let it give you peace. So do this. Spend about 10 minutes in stillness today, simply acknowledging God's presence within you. Thank Him for never leaving you. And let's pray. Lord, thank you for the gift of your presence. Help me to stay aware of it in every moment and to draw strength from knowing you are with me. Amen. Now I'll see you tomorrow as we finish this weekend together with another powerful reminder of God's gifts. Well, that's all for today. But remember, I'm here every weekend, and you should be too. The executive producer for Wisdom for the Day, Weekends with Lauren, is Kimmy Shirley. Special intro and outro music by Weston McCurry. You can message me or Rick at renewedmindsets.com slash contact. I'm so glad we had this time together. And don't forget, he's not finished writing your story. Come back next time and we'll keep walking it out together here on weekends with Lauren. I love you all so much. Bye.
