Hello everyone and happy summer. I am so excited to share with you a couple of things.

First of all, starting today, all of our summer episodes are going to be full video on YouTube. Now listen, I have been somewhat resistant of doing full video format because I happen to love the audio nature of podcasts. I was an early adopter of listening to podcasts when they first started being a thing, and have even loved hosting podcasts the past 10 years in audio format. I love listening directly from the Apple Podcast app, and many of you listen on the Spotify app, but I am told that lots of people like to listen and watch their podcasts on YouTube. So we're gonna try it out. Our studio is already set up for video and we record multiple podcasts here at Lacway and are beginning to build a YouTube presence. So, in addition to Spotify and Apple, you will now find Kids Ministry Calling on YouTube. So

The Season Theme Summer Dreaming

now let's talk about the theme for this new season of Kids Ministry Calling. We're going to be summer dreaming. Listen, I know firsthand that summer is crazy in the world of kids ministry. Number one, you've got VBS and all the things that go with that. And some of you even take kids to camp after that. But here's what I'm hoping for. Perhaps there will be some time after all of that to dream a little about what's next in the ministry that you're doing. So this season we are framing everything around dreaming, helping you reset

and think differently about future ministry. We've got episodes about how to reach families in new ways, creating intentional and meaningful events, how to invite your senior pastor to be more present in kids' ministry, and you're going to meet new friends at LifeWay, like our new director of worship, Kirk Kirkland, who is going to give us some tips on how to amp up our worship experiences with kids. We'll also have guests like Danielle Bell, Melissa Whitworth, and Tristan Mesa, who are all real-life kids ministry leaders in their local churches. And one of my favorite episodes is about how to create your own podcast. Y'all, we believe that podcasting can be an incredible tool for ministry, and we want to teach you how to do it. So I'm joined by our KMC producer, Nikki Ogden, and our sound engineer Donnie Gordon, and they're going to help us dream about what it could look like to start your own podcast.
